Largest serving of Beef Carpaccio in history!!
    Jeff L.

My girlfriend and I stopped on the way back from treehouse brewery in Tewksbury. We were starving because there was a two hour wait at treehouse (we had a great time) for pizza. Beef carpaccio is seldom on menus, but whenever I see it, I immediately order it, and this was the largest serving of beef carpaccio that I've ever seen in my life. For the first time ever, I was unable to finish it! I will absolutely go back at least for the beef carpaccio! our waitress was working her first night and she was just wonderful!!

I'm not one to leave reviews, but this was too good not too!!! Just moved up from the city and this was as authentic as it gets and would give ANY Boston Italian restaurant a run for its money. Found our new go to spot.

I grew up in Wilmington going to Rocco's regularly as Matty & Chucky continued their family legacy. My younger brother worked there for years and my family and I have so many memories there! The next/most recent owner was awful, driving my brother to quit and known broadly locally for mistreating an autistic employee. As of a few weeks ago, it is under new management and after much convincing, my mom, who still lives in town, visited and loved it! I went along with her and it felt so good/ nostalgic to be back - especially seeing old employees working and old regulars back! This spot is so cozy; one section is all booths with a working fireplace, the atrium is so lovely to sit in any day but especially on a rainy or snowy day and the bar is welcoming and spacious; truly the heart of the restaurant. The Menu is great and reasonable prices. If you like fried pickles, they're a must-order - so well-done and come with a homemade dill sauce that will have you asking for some to-go! I couldn't be more excited for another not-chain restaurant in my hometown!

    Lemon Italian Cream Cake

First time to Rocco's. Small community restaurant vibe. We got there early and sat at the bar. We had a couple appetizers and some drinks. The bar staff and the other customers were all friendly. The lemon cake and fried pickles were tasty. To me the onion rings were the best part. They were thick and not stringy. Good stop all in all. We were a bit confused when we arrived and waited at the sign a few minutes with other people as it said "wait for hostess." Soon we found there wasn't a hostess yet. So eventually we just wandered in. The $2 beer on the sign wasn't available, but we were happy with the $4 pints of Sam Summer instead. The others drinks were good too. Friendly bartender.

I haven't been to Rocco's in many years. I was pleasantly surprised. My Della insulata salad with shrimp. Was super fresh and delicious. One of the best salads I've ever tasted. The focaccia bread very fresh and warmed. The ambiance was very good the waitress was very good. Pricing very reasonable. I'm very satisfied with new Rocco s

This is how my steak sandwich was i picked it up for takeout.... Enough said.

Ordered a steak sub for takeout and not only was it beyond salty and soggy... it was in shambles.

Plastic bag from either the tortellini, chicken, fried calimari, or fried ravioli...

So I get a large Chip's Tip sub and a few pastries for snacks. The bill was steep for what I got but I thought it would be worth it for my son to try the sub. After getting it, we split the sub and ate it in the car. Let me tell you that this was not the same steak tip I remembered. It was so bad, we tossed it in the garbage at the gas station next door. The steak was very tough and hard to chew - almost like the tips had been cooked earlier and then reheated for my order. Everything just seemed greasy. We also did not enjoy the raspberry turnover or yellow cream cannoli's we got for dessert. Maybe it was us or maybe it was the food but I will never go there again. We are not food snobs by any stretch of the imagination, and I rarely will say anything bad about a restaurant experience but we ended up going to Augusta's which is just a little bit down the road, for chicken just to erase this experience from our mouths. I know a lot of people will swear by their steak tip subs and that is great but it's just not for me anymore.

I mention every visit that they should put a name tag in front of each muffin to speed up the ordering... I must waste my time and more importantly their time answering my inquires... what is that one , what is that muffin ? Does that have raisins on it ? Nuts? Dog shit in it? or whatever ? Wtf Or why are out of certain muffins ? Any In the back on racks? Put a sign up displaying a simple check mark of available muffins? One visit the nasty one at Winchester told me they were out yet I saw the muffin on a rack not yet ready to put out front? So this was my first visit to this Wakefield location ... same issues and staff nasty here too but a bit better as more mature employee? I ordered 6 muffins and wanted 2 in a separate box as a gift to someone and the other 4 in a different box...she puts the two in a bag... A bag ruins the gift look, damages frosting in muffins... they will not put any less than muffins in a box? I'll pay for the dam extra box? Or maybe a smart owner would have a small 2 muffin box? Asked for Boston cream ... out of them .. same as last visit to Winchester location where they were out of many options... Then generate greater sales, The owner should hire a better manager of both locations and stick a dam name tag in display case for each muffin, train all employees in hospitality and importance to retain repeat customers?
