We stopped by Rocco's Tacos while visiting the area, and overall it was a good experience, but not one that really wowed me. The restaurant was packed with a wait, which is usually a good sign, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. One thing that was a little confusing was that they place empty molcajete (guacamole) bowls on the table, which made us think they were going to prepare fresh guacamole tableside. That never happened, so it felt a bit misleading. The tacos and salad were both good, although the sides came out later than the rest of the food. I ordered the strawberry basil margarita, but it tasted like a regular margarita with strawberry and basil garnish added on top rather than those flavors being infused into the drink. For dessert, our churros were undercooked, but the staff handled it well and took it off the bill. Overall, the food was good, just not particularly memorable. I'd definitely come back for a quick lunch or casual meal, but it wasn't a place that left me thinking, "I can't wait to go back." This place is an absolute summer vibe. Came here for happy hour with some friends and immediately knew we made the right call. Started with the tableside guac, chips, and Tex-Mex dip, and holy crap. The guac is ridiculously good and tbh a great bang for your buck. I split the birria tacos and they were incredible--super hot, good flavor and salt levels and the perfect amount of food after an appetizer. But $5 happy hour margaritas tho? Genuinely elite. The staff was also amazing. You go to this Rocco's for the downtown vibe! I love chillin at anybody's bar especially if I can order them good azz chicken nachos. Made the mistake of ordering when I was there solo. I ate on them nachos for days! Loads of cheese and chicken on them. The table side guac is good but idk if it's worth the price ~$15. My friend paid for it and like I said, it was good but I make a mean one at the crib. Avocados so high out here in Florida so idk maybe the price isn't that bad. Had dinner here a couple times and once tried the carne molcajete. It wasn't awful but it wasn't that good. I was trying to find something more like a grilled fajitas with veggies and asked the waitress and this was her recommendation. Girl no, just no! This wasn't it. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and kind, and the bartender during happy hour was just as great. We grabbed seats at the bar for happy hour first--awesome drink deals and good vibes all around. For food, I ordered the spicy beef taco platter, and it did not disappoint. The pickled onions on top were chef's kiss. Usually, the rice and beans sides are an afterthought, but here they were SO fresh and flavorful here. Everything about this spot felt dialed in, from the service to the food to the atmosphere. We had an amazing experience at Rocco's Tacos. The service was truly five-star. Scott, our server, and Jose, the manager, were both outstanding--very attentive and detail-oriented, even though the restaurant was extremely busy. The food came out quickly, the atmosphere was just right, and the music level was perfect--not too loud, just enough to enjoy the vibe. We were celebrating my two-year-old granddaughter's birthday, and they went above and beyond by surprising her with a brownie and ice cream topped with a candle. High Energy & Great Guac, but a Rough Aftermath We visited Rocco's Tacos on a busy night after it was recommended by our hotel. With the buzzing atmosphere and packed house, we had high hopes for a fun, flavorful Mexican meal. First, the service was outstanding. Huge kudos to Steven (bartender), David, and Lorenzo from the bar team. Despite the crowd, they were friendly, attentive, and energetic. They never missing a beat. It's easy to see why this place is so popular. We started with guacamole and chips. The guac was fantastic! Fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The chips, however, were over-seasoned and a little heavy-handed, which actually distracted from the guac's freshness. We then ordered the al pastor tacos and unfortunately, that's where things went downhill. The meat was tough, chewy, and had an odd flavor. We both only ate a few bites before deciding to stop. The side of rice was fluffy and flavorful, but by then we were already wary. Sadly, within an hour of leaving, both my partner and I began to feel sick and we spent the next 24 hours dealing with serious stomach upset. We rarely react to food this way, and it really put a damper on what was supposed to be a celebratory weekend getaway. While we can't say for certain what caused it, our strong suspicion is the tacos. It's a shame, because the vibe and staff were fantastic, and the guacamole really was a standout. Bottom line: we won't be returning, but I can understand the appeal. If you go, maybe skip the al pastor... and stick to the guac. read more

Ate at Rocco's with the family. We ordered chips and salsa. The chips seemed homemade, had a good seasoning, and good salsas that accompanied. We would have liked it if the chips were warm, as they were a bit cold. Everyone enjoyed the pitcher of margaritas we had to share. Good service and the wait staff checked in frequently. For the main dish, I got the two taco platter, one blackened fish and one carne asada. Both were decent, not amazing. Others in the party got the enchiladas and they tasted ok but were dry. Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations based off of other reviews but I'm not rushing to go back. The ambience and location were nice (great for people watching), and it's an option if you're hungry and find yourself downtown. read more

Our regular haunt, Elisabetta's is packed and I didn't make my reservation until late, so we decide to try Rocco's Tacos. We've been to a Rocco's in Orlando and recalled it was good and had a lively atmosphere. We've ordered chips and salsa, which I prefer warm. They are served with three flavors of salsa. All were decent, nothing spectacular. I ordered fish tacos, one blackened and one grilled. Neither were flavorful and I was quite disappointed. My husband ordered the enchiladas and they were also bland. The noise level was high--you had to yell to speak to your dining companion. Hubby ordered a margarita and said it was weak. The location is ideal but there were 5-6 servers/hostesses working and ALL of them were hovered together chatting by the hostess stand and in the little room beside it . Rarely even looked up at the tables . I waved 2-3 times to get their attn to fill water's . One of the patrons sitting near that little room had to get the servers attn! Pathetic !! We were at Clement St area on Friday and picked this place for dinner since it was packed with guests and appeared to have the best vibe among all the restaurants in the block. We got an outdoor table right away. They got a lot of seating area inside as well and a huge bar. We started with delicious guacamole and side of chips with three types of salsa. Guacamole was by far the best item of the night. We ordered one of chicken, steak shrimp and blackened fish tacos. Shrimp and blackend was good, but other two were disappointing. I didn't taste any seasoning on chicken and steak, seemed so bland to me. I got the strawberry basil margarita that was top quality. Our server was really nice. Made sure we had everything we needed. But the restaurant in general seemed to be really slow. Took 15 minutes just to get the guacamole, tacos took even longer. I've been coming to Rocco's Tacos regularly for four years, but this week I had two very disappointing experiences. Both times people were smoking cigarettes and vaping directly in the outdoor dining area. Some were actually smoking while sitting at the dinner table, and others stood right next to the high-top tables smoking while people were eating. I'm allergic to smoke and it completely ruined my dinner both nights. Even aside from allergies, it's really unpleasant to have cigarette smoke drifting across your food while you're trying to eat. I was surprised that staff allowed this to happen without asking people to move away from the dining area. I really hope management addresses this because customers shouldn't have to deal with cigarette smoke while eating. read more

We were seated immediately and the service was very good, it did slow down as the restaurant got crowded, but still good. First time here so had to try the guac, it was delicious and freshly made at your tableside. The owner was here this day and gave us free desserts which were great. He also was giving out free shots to those at the bar. Parking can be tough in this area. Prices were moderate for the area. I would definitely return. Nothing negative to report! read more

We were passing by here to make a video about how wonderful it is to live in West Palm Beach..... but Rocco's tacos does not make the list. Let's dive into why.... 1. Here at off hours at 3:30 on a Monday, we were enjoying a drink and discussing the start of the video, bothering nobody (it was quiet), and having nobody in our background, sitting on a table OUTSIDE perimeter, and Rocco's tacos manager chose to sternly inform us that we were not allowed to be there with the camera... he also made sure to point out that they are not a fine dining establishment (we all thought that was an odd thing to say about your restaurant but couldn't agree more) , He also let me know he is not dog friendly but more "dog tolerant" as my dog was sitting in my lap.. pls remember we are OUTSIDE perimeter on the sidewalk area by the road. Expecting us to leave and quite obviously not happy to have us there as patrons , we still had a drink we tried to quickly gulp down as he loomed over us nearby with a death stare until we left. 2. The mole looks and tastes like baby diarrhea 3. The chicken quesadillas lack cheese and anything else other than dry chicken 4. The chips (by request only) come with enough to feed a city and have a gross tasting powder on them. 5. Homeless hang out outside by the tables (the one we were actually sitting at.) Yet he didn't yell at that guy only us who actually purchased something. Had a surprise party for my daughter Hailey our server in Boca was Thomas he made the night perfect! Food was amazing! We had a party of 10! From Tacos empanadas watermelon margarita!!! Don Julio shots! Thomas kept up right with us. Every one worked as a great team until..... girls decided to go to the bar without the boys and do a shot of Don Julio at 15 a shot. The male bartender wish I got his name because I want to put him on blast for being horrible!! Acted completely entitled. The bar was not busy we waited patiently for 3 shots. Lorrisa and I grabbed a seat at the bar after attending an event at a neighboring restaurant. Freddy was our server and he was outstanding. I requested a mocktail and suggested a few items I like. He knocked it out of the park with a strawberry jalapeño number. LoLo enjoyed a watermelon mocktail. We started with chips and salsa. I love the chips here, the seasoning is magnificent! Additionally, the salsa is extremely fresh. For entrées,, each of us ordered a mushroom taco and we shared an order of flautas. This proved to be more than enough food.
