Very expensive outdoor furniture sun faded after less than one year when it only got partial sun in the mornings and only for part of the year (it was on a covered patio). Very poor customer service, refuses to stand behind product and instead fabricates stories. Definitely not worth the money and not a good representative of the brand. Here is a photo of the faded piece in the shade where it always has been. I think the worst part isn't just them not standing behind it but when people start fabricating stories in order to not honor a warranty, it makes you lose trust in the entire company. read more

Been a Roche Bobois customer for over a decade. We like their quality and design, plus they mix well with our other pieces from Herman Miller, Ligne Roset, and BoConcept. However, their CS has always been a bit lackluster. We moved to Scottsdale and wanted to inquire about a upholsterer in our area to fix our couch. However, the CS that reached out was just rude a and abrupt, telling us that they cannot help because they don't know any one local. Do not buy from these people, they are awful! We purchased a living room set - two sofas, two chairs, coffee table, end table and two lamps - from Roche-Bobois Scottsdale at the end of July. They were super helpful during the sales process. The purchase was for almost $40,000 and we paid half down. They told us it would take six months to deliver and we could expect it in late January. A week or so later, we were notified that the factory had rejected the fabrics we had chosen - these were fabrics offered by Roche-Bobois and recommended to us by the sales person - and we would have to pick different fabrics. The store was waiting for the head office in France to give them information on the "approved" fabrics but the French were on vacation. We followed up in mid August and were assured they'd get back to us just as soon as they heard back from France but we didn't hear a thing all through September. Finally I sent them an email at the end of September saying we'd waited long enough, we still didn't have fabrics finalized and we'd like to cancel the order and get our down payment back. The manager then called me and said it is "against policy" to give money back but to come in and she would see what she could do once we picked alternative fabrics and offering me a 20% discount on the order if we would be willing to work with them. At this point I made it clear that I still expected delivery in January as originally promised and she assured me she would do everything to make that happen. We went in immediately and were offered another choice of fabrics and we made our choice - based on the assumption that we would (a) receive a 20% discount on the order and (b) that they would expedite delivery since two months had already passed. The next day she called us back and said the factory had rejected these as well and asked us to come in once again. Again we went in and made a third choice of fabrics. This time I once again said I would simply prefer to cancel the order but the manager said she would do her best to air ship the items - that while she couldn't promise January the air shipment would take 10 weeks or so off the delivery time. We were leaving the next day on vacation. She promised to follow up with the factory while we were away and get us a final order with the 20% discount and an expedited delivery date when we returned. When returned a couple of days ago and followed up (again, no pro-active follow up from them) they responded with an order confirmation that didn't include the discount and didn't mention delivery. I followed up yet again. Finally, yesterday she said they could offer the 20% discount but could not offer the air shipment and the delivery would be 6-9 months from now - after we had already lost 3 months going back and forth, meaning we'd have to wait up to a year to get what we ordered back in July, AFTER we had already compromised on the fabrics twice and ONE MONTH after we had initially asked to cancel the order entirely. She said that was the best they could do and if we didn't like it she would give us our money back and asked me to let her know ASAP. I called her today and said we had discussed it and we would take her up on the money back offer as we no longer had confidence in the company. She then said they could only offer a refund on the sofas and chairs - the other items were already in production and could not be refunded. This was even though we had purchased all of these at once because they went well together. She said our only option was to pay for the tables and lamps and then buy the sofas and chairs elsewhere to "go with them". Completely ridiculous since it's almost always the other way around. I asked to speak with her manager (she's the manager of the Scottsdale store) and she refused to give me that person's name or number. I asked who can I file a complaint with and she said "corporate" - but refused to give me a name, department, address, phone number or email address. She said I could look it up myself. I have disputed the charge with American Express and am getting lawyers involved. I refuse to pay for any portion of an order when the entire order was place as one and this is clearly a breach of contract on their part. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST! I WOULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARTS IF I COULD! read more

I love the high quality offerings at Roche. I've purchased only outdoor furniture, and it is the bomb! There was an issue with my original purchase, and the manager, Hatuma, was very calm and understanding when it happened. She offered a solution and delivered. Since the original issue, I purchased more items. I didn't give 5 star because the sales people don't follow up on the orders to release from the warehouse in LA. It's odd to me that there is not a system in place to notify the store that merchandise has arrived and should be released to deliver to the customer. Make sure you follow-up on your order and get it released for delivery. They only deliver once a week and must be called in by Tuesday for delivery later in the week. I'm not a fan of the business model, but the quality of offerings allows me to overlook these issues. read more

I have to say first of all, Ann was extremely patient with us over several long months while we tried to sort out which pieces of furniture would look just right in our modern home. Besides the fact their furniture is unique and beautifully made, I couldn't get over how carefully each piece of furniture was wrapped and crated at the time of delivery. We waited patiently for 6 months for our custom furniture pieces to be made and shipped to the US then delivered to Telluride, CO. I do not use the word perfect because nothing is perfect. That is until now.....our design, custom pieces, floor plan and quality are absolutely perfect! Vanessa did a stellar job helping us design the right pieces in the right colors and fabrics for our home. The renderings done by April were spot on. The first night we were sitting in our new furniture I said to my husband "I feel like I am sitting in a rendering." He laughed and whole heartedly agreed. The room is exactly as we expected. Floor plan, lay out, colors, custom fabrics and leathers were all exactly as they showed in the renderings. Vanessa furnished our entire house. Each room is unique yet they all flow seamlessly together. The realtor for the seller stopped by yesterday and we showed him around. He said "this is a beautiful house, but this furniture takes it to a new level." He is right, it really does. The delivery team was incredibly professional, competent, has vast product knowledge and impeccably clean. They too could not have done a better job. Roche Bobois is so amazing because of the quality of furniture, uniqueness, quality of employees and commitment to service. Vanessa was a pleasure to work with. She is right on top of everything and leaves no stone unturned. She is an excellent communicator as well. Vanessa really knows her Roche products. We would be discussing options for different areas and Vanessa knew the exact Roche piece that would meet our needs. She has them all stored in her brain. That is experience. Keep it up Roche Bobois. I would also recommend a visit to the Manhattan, NY flagship store to sit on more furniture choices than are available in Scottsdale. Roche Bobois Scottsdale and the north American rep for Roche Bobois have refused to provide any customer service for an issue stemming from a faulty finish on a table they provided to my client. after repeated calls and finally emails to the corporate office there has still not been any attempts to offer a solution to the situation. This is the worst customer service I have seen from an internationally known company to date. read more

Terrible service and snarky attitude from Vanessa, the "Design Consultant ". We are furnishing a multimillion home in Scottsdale. In the past we used an interior design firm for our Chicago residence. We were interested in a couch from them with the possibility of additional items. Vanessa promised on two occasions to come out to the house to take measurements. She had some travel and the annual sale to deal with as excuses but said she would call us back to set up a visit. Never heard back. 3 strikes. One would hope it's because she's no longer employed there. My advice is to buy Roche BoBois through the trade in one of their showrooms (in PDC or Merchandise Mart) rather than through the stores which seem to be staffed with failed wannabe designers. read more
