Detroit Supreme 5/5 If you are looking for pizza with a thick crust, a good amount of toppings, and a heavenly amount of grease that will clog your arteries, this is the place! The interior of the place looks very new and well kept. Not much seating there, maybe one or two chairs inside. It's definitely more of a place to just pick up and order. Now we heard about this spot from a good buddy, we've walked by this spot multiple times. Detroit never screamed out to me as a pizza spot you know like NY or Chicago style etc. I must say i am thrilled to finally come in to try a slice with the lady! We definitely are getting a whole pizza next time around. We grabbed a slice of honey hot pepperoni with marinara sauce. (Now i think it was just roni-with marinara) but it was crispy, hot, flavor bursting and the DOUGH, i could sit there and eat the dough by itself! So dang good. Has that nice texture and flavor you just want to go buy another slice. Quick and easy, no frills shop, minimal seating. Definitely coming back for more! read more

So glad my husband found this place because it's quite delicious. It's a small takeout restaurant with limited seating, so we usually order online, pick it up and take it home to enjoy. The prices are around $25-30 for a specialty pizza, so comparable to other Boston places like Regina Pizzeria. Compared to Neapolitan places like Si Cara or Ciao, you definitely get more calories for your dollar here. Our go-to order the Detroit Supreme. It comes in 8 pieces, but each piece is so filling that I can eat 1, maybe 2 pieces max at a time. It is oily, doughy and heavy, but sometimes that's exactly what you want. The service has been fast, and staff have been friendly and efficient. read more

I ordered a pepperoni pizza delivered. I am sorry but contrary to the pictures which obviously make this pizza look phenomenal, it just was not good. I spent $30 bucks on a pizza that seem to have decent reviews. I was really craving this specific style. When I got the pizza, I realized the cheese had no stretch to it. When I reheated it later on, it was the same. When cheese melts it is supposed to be stretchy, not this cheese. Also the pepperoni I pizza had a spiciness I wasn't really expecting. I honestly ended up throwing half of it away. I usually offer my pizza leftovers to my coworkers. This time around I was too embarrassed so I didn't. No frills Detroit style pizza joint. No really, there's not even wall art up or somewhere to sit and eat inside, but that's honestly the vibe. Just order some food and carry on enjoying it. :) They're new to Oak Square, and stay open late Thursday - Saturday night. Good eats? And open late? A win win. Although they are closed on Sundays. FYI when you order a pizza, it's 1 size only. No problemo for us. These pizzas are so good and the size is plenty to fill you up. Parking can be a toss-up but that's no biggie. There's some version of street parking available in Oak Square. And by that I mean you'll probably wait 5 min max if you drive around looking for a spot. Highly recommend trying them out! read more

We got the Detroit Supreme. Very solid pizza. Crust is nice and crisp. Pepperoni and sausage are delicious. Pricing is pretty standard. This is a takeout place, so there's no seating. Service is fast and friendly. Pizza was a little too greasy, though. I think I like Jet's slightly better, but there isn't a Jet's in the area. I have ordered from Detroit pizza, Brighton location), a ton of times, I absolutely love it. I just ordered two Detroit pizzas through DoorDash but this time it came from Wonder in Newton or Watertown, instead of Brighton. There is no comparison at all between the two locations. Brighton has AMAZING pizza and the location at Wonder is horrible. Someone from the Brighton store needs to get down and train those peeps in the Wonder store read more

Only ever ordered via Door Dash so take that into account. Have had the cheese pizza which is Detroit style so you need to know it's a little oily to get that crisp on the edges. These guys did it nicely. It was NOT greasy. Also had chicken fingers, Caesar salad and meatball app. Chicken had nice clean flavors and the batter is tasty. Would prefer more dipping sauce choices but the chicken is good. Caesar salad is also very good and I'm pretty sure they're doing a traditional dressing with anchovy paste. I got Delivery today from the Detroit pizza company on Washington Street in Brighton near Oaks Square. Detroit style pizza resembles Sicilian pizza but the cheese is put down and the sauce is on top of the cheese. Overall, I thought the pizza was pretty good the sauce and cheese were flavorful. and the crust on the edges was nice and crispy. I think the bottom of the pizza could've been a little more crispy as well but I enjoyed the pizza and I will most likely get it again. I got the basic cheese is that is my go to to try a new pizza place I also got the chicken wings they were just OK they could've been a little crispier in the sauce I got the honey barbecue was eh . Ha. These high review marks have to be planted. The pizza is very average and very oily. There is no crust, just a burnt edge. It has to be the most expensive pizza in the Boston area: large mushroom and a Greek salad was $56 delivered, and we live 4 blocks from the Oak Sq. Store!!! Never had Detroit style pizza before, so I went searching for it. Right in Oak Square in Brighton. A small place with only a few tables, but the pizza did not disappoint. The pizza was excellent. The sauce is tangy and the cheese is stretchy and flavorful. We had a 1/2 cheese and 1/2 peperoni. The peperoni was delicious. The pizza is extremely filling, so don't order too much. I tried this pizza recently, and I have to say, while the delivery through Ubereats was quick, I found the pizza to be overpriced and disappointing in quality. The crust tasted pre-made and lacked the freshness that I was hoping for. The pizza is also very greasy in a "heartburn" way. What an awesome addition to the neighborhood. We got the Forget about It. Everything was super fresh. Of note was that the sausage appeared to be cooked whole from fresh sausage not the premade frozen sliced or crumbled stuff I've seen other places use. The outer edge was super crisp. read more

I ordered a pizza for delivery from Uber Eats. The driver never delivered it, but according to the Uber Eats app, it had arrived. I called Detroit Pizza Co. The owner was insufferably rude to me and refused to give me his name. He kept telling me his name was OWNER. He said the fact that I did not get the pizza had nothing to do with his business, and was not his responsibility. Mr. OWNER was totally lacking in customer service, and actually yelled in the phone, "Do you think I care what kind of review you write?" I will never do business with Detroit Pizza Company in Brighton, MA again. This rude OWNER was a disgrace to the business community in my neighborhood of Oak Square, Brighton. read more

Ordered the pepperoni pizza a few weeks ago and it was absolutely amazing. Recommended it to everyone I knew. Today, I decided to order it again but added ricotta and hot honey. I was so excited to get it only to open the box and find my pizza completely smothered in watery ricotta. I could barely see the pizza, it was drenched. The bottom of the pizza was practically soggy from how runny the ricotta was and just ruined the whole thing. This was a $40 pizza. I was upset to say the least. read more

And closed on Sunday. Never heard of a pizza place closed on Sunday! They would be better off closing Monday and Tuesday than Sunday I'd think. read more

parking is street…read more booked a table for saturday lunch the night before. credit card is charged $25 to hold and they'll take it off your bill. we ordered the soup of the day, chicken and vegetables, caprese, the trio ravioli, seafood pasta, and a couple of cappuccino. soup was nice, was accompanied with bread. very comforting bowl of soup. seasoning come through each bite. the more i ate it, the more i realized it was just a little bit on the salty side for me. caprese was very fresh, all the ingredients were really fresh. the mozzarella is the denser type. my ravioli plate was great. a good size, you can taste the freshness of the ravioli dough. my favorite was the cheese. there were corners of the ravioli that were a bit al dente. the seafood pasta was not at its best. the seafood served was fishy, not fresh. when the plate was brought out you could smell the unsavory fishiness. i personally wouldn't have serve the seafood at home if it gotten to that stage. for dessert we got the crème brûlée and mango panna cotta. we loved the crème brûlée. the shell was nice and hard, flavor was good. the panna cotta was a bit dense for our own personal liking. i got one cappuccino at the start of the meals and a second one during dessert. second one was a lot stronger than the first. both were good. the restaurant should update their menu to reflect the correct pricing. menu shows $3 and was charged $4.95, doesn't leave a good taste when that happens. for carry out, we ordered the chicken pesto and italian sandwich, both very good. all the ingredients were flavorful and really fresh. the rosemary they include on each sandwich is a really nice touch. it's actually a fresh (not dried) cut of a rosemary branch. i took it and infused it with olive oil at home to accompany the sandwich. happy to return and try other dishes.

The soups are arranged with real care: vegetables layered, colors balanced, everything looking fresh and inviting. I eat a lot of noodle soup around Boston, and I have had some very pale, sad, skin-toned bowls. At that point, I might as well go home, save money, and make my own. MDM is not that. Their soups taste fresh, have tons of umami, and are pure comfort food for me. Noodle soup has always felt like home because my dad used to make it on Saturdays before driving me to music lessons. His noodle soups and MDM's are totally different, but somehow I still get that same feeling when I eat here. You do not come to MDM for ambiance. One time in the summer, I honestly couldn't tell whether they were open because the lights were so low. Were they saving energy? Were they creating mystery? Unclear. The portions are generous, as are the prices. We have found that the full-size salads and the pasta dinners are plenty for two to share when paired with an appetizer or two. The prices and portions allow us to try a bit of everything they have to offer. They have a vast selection of starters and appetizers to start off your meal.
