An incredibly tasty treat and unique offering in Boston. Had the cheese with Chicken added and was so good. Will definitely try more in the future.

Now we heard about this spot from a good buddy, we've walked by this spot multiple times. Detroit never screamed out to me as a pizza spot you know like NY or Chicago style etc. I must say i am thrilled to finally come in to try a slice with the lady! We definitely are getting a whole pizza next time around. We grabbed a slice of honey hot pepperoni with marinara sauce. (Now i think it was just roni-with marinara) but it was crispy, hot, flavor bursting and the DOUGH, i could sit there and eat the dough by itself! So dang good. Has that nice texture and flavor you just want to go buy another slice. Quick and easy, no frills shop, minimal seating. Definitely coming back for more!

I ordered a pepperoni pizza delivered. I am sorry but contrary to the pictures which obviously make this pizza look phenomenal, it just was not good. I spent $30 bucks on a pizza that seem to have decent reviews. I was really craving this specific style. When I got the pizza, I realized the cheese had no stretch to it. When I reheated it later on, it was the same. When cheese melts it is supposed to be stretchy, not this cheese. Also the pepperoni I pizza had a spiciness I wasn't really expecting. I honestly ended up throwing half of it away. I usually offer my pizza leftovers to my coworkers. This time around I was too embarrassed so I didn't. Anyway, it does take a great picture though.

No frills Detroit style pizza joint. No really, there's not even wall art up or somewhere to sit and eat inside, but that's honestly the vibe. Just order some food and carry on enjoying it. :) They're new to Oak Square, and stay open late Thursday - Saturday night. Good eats? And open late? A win win. Although they are closed on Sundays. FYI when you order a pizza, it's 1 size only. No problemo for us. These pizzas are so good and the size is plenty to fill you up. Parking can be a toss-up but that's no biggie. There's some version of street parking available in Oak Square. And by that I mean you'll probably wait 5 min max if you drive around looking for a spot. Highly recommend trying them out!

Delivery order I can't vouch for Detroit style authenticity so this is just me enjoying a good pizza. I ordered the"Forget about it" pizza - good! Makes great leftovers. Will try pepperoni one next.

Amazing pizza. Thick and crispy crust. Generous toppings. And it looks very appealing and fresh. It's neither greasy nor heavy, though the sauce is quite salty. Each pizza is cut into 8 pieces, which I'd say feeds 2 people. Highly recommend!

I got Delivery today from the Detroit pizza company on Washington Street in Brighton near Oaks Square. Detroit style pizza resembles Sicilian pizza but the cheese is put down and the sauce is on top of the cheese. Overall, I thought the pizza was pretty good the sauce and cheese were flavorful. and the crust on the edges was nice and crispy. I think the bottom of the pizza could've been a little more crispy as well but I enjoyed the pizza and I will most likely get it again. I got the basic cheese is that is my go to to try a new pizza place I also got the chicken wings they were just OK they could've been a little crispier in the sauce I got the honey barbecue was eh . Not sure I'll get the wings again but I do want to try the pepperoni pizza I think it's a specialty.

Wings are soggy and chewy. For the pizza the pepperoni and cheese is very good but the sauce on top is worse than prego

However, I don't know that it lived up to the hype that I anticipated. We got the pizza Bianca with ricotta with hot honey, which was basically just like plain toasted focaccia and ricotta (wasn't anything to write home about). The taleggio was 100% our least favorite and we didn't even finish half. We had asked the waiter to describe taste profile, which they said was a "little funky" and had asked for clarification if it was closer to blue cheese. Once it arrived, it was like a verrrrrry strong/stinky Brie on the inside. The balsamic didn't really contribute to the taste at all. Sad that we didn't like this/kinda made me feel yucky after eating. The cavatelli was very good- nice light creamy sauce with the sausage and bitter broccolini. Very well balanced. Forgot to take a pic of the tiramisu but it was good, too! It's kinda salty (they add sea salt to the top). Drink menu was limited. Had two different glasses of red wine but wish they had something more full bodied on the menu!

The dining room is fairly small with some bar seating available as well. It was clean and bright. It took about 7 mins for the server to come over and she lead with "are you ready to order?" I guess simple pleasantries are useless anyway. We knew our drinks and appetizers order but not what we wanted for pizza yet so we ordered those and told her we'd order pizzas when the apps and drinks came. She came back about 3 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order yet. Feeling pressured, we ordered thinking that perhaps they close soon (not the case). The bartender delivered our drinks a few minutes later and about 5 mins after that both the appetizers and pizza arrived at the same time. Besides the fact that our table wasn't large enough to accommodate all that food and drink, it was never our intention to eat our appetizers with our meal. The good news is that the food was hot, fresh and tasty. The potato bombs were excellent. Crispy home fry like potatoes and the peppers had a nice heat. I would love to try the popper version next time. The pizzas were good too, but be prepared for floppy and slightly under done base crust but a perfectly charred edge crust. I find many wood fired pizza to come this way but I did see other reviews mention this as a negative. The bill comes in a small ball jar with a delicious rice crispy treat. While the jar worked it must have made it hard to see that I dropped my credit card in it, so after the waitress walked by a few times I removed the card and made it visible on the table. When the tab came to sign I was not given a pen. I should have walked out and just let them charge me for just the tab but I cannot stiff waitstaff, even when it's poor service. My only hope is that it was the waitress's first day and she somehow figures out the typical cadence and procedure involved in waiting tables. Food was a solid 4 but service was a 2 so I landed on a 3. I would definitely go back hoping for a better server.

With excellent pizza, service and a great cocktail and wine menu, everything they offer is excellent. We have been only a few times mainly because this place gets so jam packed that it is hard to get a table. Small, quaint and cute neightborhood gem. You can tell all the locals flock to this place every weekend. The bar is also perfect to grab a quick bite and it is first come first serve. Move over Tatte because this Spiced Carrot Soup was phenomenal. And, I mean it. From asking the owner to "how do I make this at home" to practically wanting to order another bowl. And, don't get me started on their homemade foccacia bread that came with it. Every dunk of this bread into the luscious soup had me craving more and more. Best part, I was actually full. Hallelujah! All I have to say is head to Jinny's for their pizza, but don't forget they have a whole menu to choose from as well. And, everything tastes great and is nice and fresh. You will definitely stay awhile eating and drinking here at this cozy spot. Cheers~

One of the very best pizza spots in and around Newton!…read more The dough is amazing. It's soft and pillowy, just how I like my crust. Everything is fired in a wood oven, that you can get a full view of in the open concept kitchen. Seating is pretty limited, but in the summer there are a few outdoor tables. It's a great spot for take out as well, although parking can be a challenge at peak times. The pizza is a smaller size and runs north of $20. It's worth it, but more for the artisan pizza taste and quality. This likely isn't the place you're going to buy 10 pizzas for the SuperBowl, but if you're looking for high quality ingredients and the perfect dough, this is your spot. The available specialty pizzas are great combinations of flavors. I think they even do one with pineapple, as controversial as that is for some people. I saw the Rosso Pie online, but not on the menu when I went to dine-in. The friendly waiter was more than happy to request it for me from the kitchen. Sometimes I like a pie with no cheese on it. Difficult to find great pizza in MA, but this place fits the bill. Great pizza, great people.
