Rocked Lobster Roll Very solid 7/10
    Michael L.

Music is a part of the theme but it wasn't too loud. Service was very good. Miranda was friendly and personable. For the food, here are the ratings I would give for my sushi entrees TourBus: 10/10 SweetHomeAlabama: 8/10 RockedLobster: 7/10 TourBus is baked, Alabama fried, and Lobster traditional so I like having a trio of flavors.

My sister and I love sushi so we decided to try this place for the first time. The environment is very fun and all kinds of rock music playing like poison , Motley Crue, yungblud, Aerosmith and more. It was really cold and the restaurant space was small and not a place that should be crowded. Our server was polite and attentive. When my sister and I got our food it was okay. Not good but not bad.. slightly the look of the place overrated my expectation on the food. The cool thing is your cup they serve your drink in , you get to keep like a souvenir which was pretty cool. The experience was fun but the food did not compare.

The food was pretty good and our server Miranda was very professional and guided us through our lunch. We were in a little hurry and she got our meal out very quickly. We also had an issue with one of our dishes and she fixed the issue right away. Our food was really good, I had tempura shrimp with fried rice and my wife shrimp and chicken rice bowl with veggies. We enjoyed our visit here and we will definitely return. The restaurant is a themed rock n roll restaurant which I understand but the music was just a little loud. Also the parking is very limited so bring your patience

The place takes me back to my youth with a great vibe! Love the music and the staff. Our waiter was so friendly and wanted us to enjoy our meal!!! if you try the spicy foods but like the option to dip in something a little soothing get yum yum on side! Our price was fair for what we bought and we as a family of three adults left satiated and happy!

First time here. Got the spicy sashimi salad and spicy tuna roll. Both were very good. Salad was a very nice portion nice assortment of fish which was very fresh. That Thai chili sauce full of flavor. The spicy tuna roll was my favorite dish. Just a great roll. Atmosphere in the place is a cool vibe. Will def stop by again.

Everything was incredible from start to finish! We started with the jalapeño poppers, which were packed with flavor and set the tone for an unforgettable meal. Every roll we tried--the Crowd Surfer, VIP Roll, and Punk Rock n Roll--was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with bold, delicious flavors. Our server, Miranda, was exceptional. She guided us through the menu with great recommendations, kept our drinks filled without missing a beat, and made us feel genuinely welcome with her warm and friendly demeanor. To top it all off, we ended our meal with the Mango Coconut Rockstars for dessert--an absolute must-try! Sweet, tropical, and the perfect finish to a phenomenal dining experience. The place is very clean and music was totally fun to listen to while eating! They played lots of classic rock music and it wasn't too loud! We love the theme of the restaurant. We'll definitely be coming back soon!

I really wanted to like this place so bad because of how convenient the location is :/ unfortunately I just wasn't impressed. My husband and I came here for lunch today and got there right when they opened. They were not busy at all and we were actually the first people there today. We started off with some spicy edamame and headbanger shrimp. Both of these appetizers were pretty good. The shrimp were a little big for me as well, but that's just my personal preference. For our entrees we did the yellowtail nigiri, good times roll and crowd surfer roll. The sushi rolls were okay. The crowd surfer roll was a little soggy for me so the roll was kind of mushy. The good times roll was good with decent flavor. The nigiri was a little iffy, I would say that we have had better. The service was great and the waitress was very attentive. We were just disappointed in the quality of the food :/ I plan on going again and trying one more time, but may wait a couple months.

Easily the WORST sushi I have ever had. And service was equally bad! The only thing nice about this place is the outdoor seating. We got sat during lunch and no one greeted us for over 10 minutes! The service was so slow we were there for over an hour for LUNCH! And the sushi was horrible. The color of the salmon was a pale pink with an equally dull flavor. I will never spend my money here again. Go around the corner to E sushi it is way better!

We've been to Rock n Roll Sushi three times since they opened, and it's been fantastic every time! The concept is so much fun--the rock 'n' roll music and music videos create a great vibe, but the volume is perfect for still being able to chat with your table. The outdoor dining area is also a great spot, and they could even fit a couple more tables out there. As for the food, everything we've tried has been delicious! The sushi, hibachi, and appetizers are all on point, but the jalapeño poppers are a must-try. We're so glad to have this new restaurant in Waterset and can't wait to go back... and finally save room for dessert!

My daughter and I stopped by for the first time last night. Kylie was our server and did a great job at being knowledgeable and welcoming. The people who brought the food out were nice as well. This is where this restaurant took a turn. The food was a huge disappointment. We ordered TNT shrimp as a started. Besides being incredibly salty, it was the best thing we had. We first ordered the eel roll and crawfish roll. The eel roll was mushy and room temperature, which was gross. I ordered shrimp fried rice, the saltiest thing I thought I've ever eaten.. nope, the other 2 replacement rolls were salty too. The VIP and Thriller was fried roles but they were cold on the inside. Make it make sense. Everything tasted pre-packaged and reheated. I think it's time to do a staff tasting with a manager to make sure recipes are being executed correctly. I've eaten a lot of local and international spots as it pertains to sushi- this was the worst. We walked next door to Planet Smoothie after to get dinner

    Samantha R.

Obsessed!!! I was truly worried this would be very bland and chain food like, but it was delicious! The presentation was surprisingly amazing also! I think they are doing a fantastic job and service was attentive and quick. We were in and out of here in no time. Only con was them waiting on their liquor license still, but not by any means a deal breaker. Highly recommend, we plan on going back routinely!

It's a great place to share a meal with family & friends. It was very comforting! We were greeted immediately by Dilara. She was so friendly and helpful throughout the visit. She even gave me a great suggestion on choice of drinks. The Milkis Banana Soda was the perfect fit for me. The restaurant started to get very busy at lunch time, and none of it phased her. She handled it like a pro. We started with the Corn Cheese appetizer. I would have never tried it if my friend had not mentioned it the day before. It was such a great shareable dish. It's delivered all bubbly on a hot plate. It looks almost like Mexican street corn, but it has a totally different flavor profile. It was almost sweet enough to be a dessert. I love that sweet cheese topping! It was a cold day, so we decided to get soup. I went with the Galbitang, and my friend selected the Soft Tofu Stew. It also came out bubbling hot, and served in its own cast iron pot. A very hot pot, so don't touch it. Lol! The rib meat was plentiful. There was a large rib bone in my soup. The meat was so tender, and fell right off the bone. The broth was meaty and full of flavor. There wasn't a whole lot of glass noodles, so I suggest you add the meat dumplings for an extra $5. Otherwise, just add the rice that comes with it. It was perfect with the rice. The banchan sides were also very tasty. I was surprised that the kimchi wasn't overly spicy. I really loved all the different flavors. What's even better is that they don't rely on salt to make it tasty. All the natural flavors of the rich rib meat shined through in the broth. It was a meal to be savored slowly as the broth started cooling off from the hot temperature. You can actually carry on a conversation while enjoying it, and not worry about your soup getting cold. Again, it was a very comfortable & enjoyable experience! We wanted to try the Korean Hotteok for dessert. Unfortunately, they didn't have any that day. I definitely want to go back and try that. I'm also very interested in trying their vegetable ramyun & gimbap lunch combo. There was a Bulgogi Wrap special that also looked very reasonable. They have different specials each month. Everything was great! I could definitely tell that a lot of hard work goes into making each and every dish. This hidden gem deserves multiple return visits. It's very close to the Manatee Viewing Center, so you might as well check it out while you're in the area.

FYI: we ordered the Korean cheesy corn appetizer first and this is delightfully cheesy and sweet. It doesn't feel like Mayo more cheesy. It's so good! Back to the soup: I wanted their Soft Tofu Soup since I had one in Orlando that I still dreamt about. I had the Beef Soft Tofu soup mild. I was afraid that the flavor would get lost due to not being spicy. I still really liked this soup and I just have to have rice with it, and I just couldn't stop. It was so good yet, it's so easy to eat this soup and enjoy it slowly since it's so hot. It really warmed me up a lot. My friend ordered the galbitang which is beef on the bone and it's a clear soup with eggs and veggies. It tasted very good, not too salty, & reminded me of a caldo de res soup at a Latin restaurant or beef soup clear broth per se. Just to try to compare it. They provided us with 3 banchan sides and rice. I really wish we had more banchan and different types but ours were very good. The broccoli was my fave, the kimchi was not too spicy and the 3rd dish was good and starchy. Our server was a doll. So sweet, so knowledgable and so helpful. This was a great experience at this Korean restaurant. I would love to try so many items on this menu, but it's not really an area I frequent.

(Also iykyk BTS members were here too :DD) We arrived around 3 PM, and the restaurant was super busy and packed. I was expecting a wait but we got seated right away. Initially, we asked to sit outside and it was really nice at first. The breeze and fresh air in the shade were definitely 10/10. But as the afternoon went on, the sun got much hotter and the seagulls became absolutely VICIOUS LOLL, so we ended up asking to move inside. The staff were so accommodating and let us pick whichever table we wanted, which I really appreciated. Now onto the food, WOW was the first word that came out of my mouth the portions are HUGE. There were a lot of great options to choose from, but I ended up getting the grilled lobster mac and cheese. The portion was HEFTY. I ate so much, yet it still looked like I barely made a dent in the bowl lol. The flavor was good, but it was saltier than I expected, and the more I ate, the more noticeable the saltiness became. I didn't catch the names of my friends' dishes, but they all really enjoyed their meals. Overall, it's a great spot with amazing views, generous portions, and great service. I'd love to come back again in the future!

Not super busy on a gorgeous Saturday night…read more The good: the shrimp boil is amazing. I do wish there was an option to order more bread to go along with it. The location on the water is beautiful and the patio tables are great, with fans to help with temperature control. The meh: This place is super inconsistent, even within the same visit. I had one spicy margarita that was amazing and had a couple of jalapeno slices. My friend ordered one that was missing the jalapenos and was just ok. The cooks forgot to add the honey sriracha sauce to our brussel sprouts (which I've had here before so I knew something was missing). The solution to just bring a cup of the sauce to the table was not it. The bad: That parking lot. Not a single place to park, yet the restaurant was not at all busy. It seemed like people parked there and walked next door. Just ok. $75 for two drinks and two apps seems excessive when they just can't get it right.

First impression was a little suspect because it's clearly a house turned restaurant/bar. Once we got inside though, I loved the charm of it. There are different rooms you walk through and they have it all set up with tables and chairs....all different kinds so it's a modge podge of tables. Then there are cool chandeliers over the tables and bar signs everywhere. Our waitress was a new implant to Florida and she was super sweet and helpful. She also made a mean vodka tonic! Ok so let's get to the food. First we ordered the Fried Alligator Bites and the Fried Green Tomatoes as appetizers and they were both delicious! The alligator wasn't super chewy and the voodoo sauce was banging! I went with the Shrimp and Grits and sheesh I was blown away! I loved the texture and the taste of the grits. They had just the right amount of cheese and the shrimp were cooked perfectly! The hubby got the Grouper Tacos and he said they were good but a little dry. He wished they had some more toppings...either sauce or pico de gallo. My daughter got the mussel pasta. She loved the mussels but was disappointed by the penne pasta. She wished it was a bit saucier as it only had a lemony/wine liquid that wasn't sticking to the pasta. All in all this place was good. We will go at least once more since it's by where we're staying and I want to try a couple more things on the menu.
