I went to check out Rock N Roll Sushi, and it was every bit as fun and delicious as the name promises! The vibe was awesome -- cool, lively, and energetic without being over the top. The music was perfect: loud enough to feel it, but not so loud that you have to yell across the table (thank you for that!). The staff was amazing. Big shout-out to Daisy and Tiffany, who were so friendly and took great care of us the whole time. The food? Absolutely delicious. They've got creative twists on the classics that totally work. I started with the spicy edamame, which came with a squeeze of lemon and the perfect amount of seasoning -- simple, but so good. For my main, I had the hibachi, and it blew me away. The flavor was spot on -- I didn't even need any extra sauce (which never happens for me!). I loved it so much I ordered another serving of rice. The sushi was just as impressive -- super fresh, full of flavor, and with tons of great options. The hardest part was deciding what to try because everything looked amazing. And you've got to save room for dessert. The deep-fried brownie was next level -- crispy outside, gooey inside, rich but not heavy. The ice cream that came with it stayed perfectly frozen (no melted mess!) thanks to how they prep it. Such a cool touch. The owners were also really friendly and checked in to make sure we were having a great time, which made the night even better. The labor practices are equally harrowing; the owner, Melisa, operates like a Victorian-era taskmaster, identifying her most talented assets and systematically incinerating their spirits for sport. Rather than offering a living wage or professional dignity, she attempts to pacify the soul-crushing burnout of her staff with the occasional, lukewarm Little Caesar's pizza. The deception is a family affair, as her husband possesses the kind of predatory sales instincts that would see him successfully selling breadcrumbs to the starving if he thought it would improve his margins. This place is a fever dream of fraudulent promises, "cancerous" interpersonal energy, and a staff that treats hand-washing as an optional hobby. Save your health, your money, and your sanity: stay far away from this toxic ecosystem of filth and exploitation. read more

I would give it a 4.5 if I could I love having my 18 kids here they only have one big table. My brother also brought his gf from South Africa and she's never had sushi so she puked all over the table. I want to keep the guitar that the sushi comes on i didn't know if I could so I took it anyway. They had giant tvs and a lot of decor in there I wish I could gamble on Rainbet on the giant tvs though. Food tasted like gods poo and the water tasted like... water? They had full bottles of soy sauce my kid poured both in my purse. I love cookeville. I'm thinking about leaving one of my kids in the restaurant as a fun prank. I remember cici's used to be here there a memory there I don't like to talk about (my ex-wife divorced me there). Service was good I got a raffle ticket which is the only reason I'm still alive (I love gambling). My kid knocked like 8 ornaments off of the Xmas tree. Daisy our server was knowledgeable, helpful, made awesome suggestions, and quick to make sure we had everything we needed. Melisa the owner stopped and chatted to check in us. Absolutely incredible sushi! We had the Firecracker Roll, Metal Head Roll, and Good Times Roll -- all three were amazing. We also tried a few pieces from different rolls our family ordered, and there honestly wasn't a single bad one at the table. Our server was fantastic, and the owner is truly phenomenal -- so kind and welcoming. I'm from Nashville, and this is top-notch sushi!
