I recently ate at Rock that burger and I gotta say it was pretty good. Food was great. I also liked how it was Beetles theme and how there were board games at the table. The Burger was very flavorful and the sauce was delicious. The service was good as well. My favorite part of Rock that Burger had to be the Frank fries. The Frank Fries were amazing. I think the only down side of Rock that Burger are the prices. I payed about 28 dollars for the burger and the Frank fries. Overall I really liked Rock that Burger. Sadly I think it's more of a try it once since I personally think the prices are too high. read more

First time here and I was wowed! I had the Guantanamera burger: single patty with bacon, cream cheese and, my favorite, guava! The burger has a great seasoned flavor to which it was not overpowered by the guava. The flavors gelled well. The hubs had the Elvis Presley burger (that's not the name). I didn't taste that burger because no didn't want to ruin the taste I had! His burger had bacon, PB&J. He enjoyed his too! Service was good. The 2 gentlemen there gave us some suggestions. Food was brought to our table and right before we finished, one of the guys brought us handi-wipes. Nice :) We'll be coming back again to taste another one of specialty burgers. read more

I was in earlier today, and the temperature was hot in the restaurant, enough for me to start sweating while sitting there waiting. I mentioned it was hot, and he said it wasn't. He said the a/c was on 73. I asked him if he could turn it down. He said no. So then I asked for our food to go, because there was no way I was going to eat in that heat. Even my kids, who are used to playing outside in the Miami summers, said they didn't feel well in it. And then I went back to the bathroom and noticed that the thermostat was on 79, not 73 like the guy had said. I told him that it was on 73, and clearly he didn't like being caught in a lie. He said, "We can't control the outside temperature." Um, that's not how a/c works. As this was all happening, I had a memory of being in this restaurant once before and also really struggling with the heat. When I had asked them to turn the a/c down, the same thing had happened. He refused. If you're looking for a decent burger and are okay sweating while you eat, this place might be for you. But you'll have to get past the fact that the owner lies, is rude (oh, not to mention that he said, "Jesus Christ!" at me while I walked out), and isn't willing to do anything (or even act like he is) toward making his patrons feel more comfortable. My first visit a while back was for a hot dog but the burger was still an unknown for me. I was a little skeptical but I figured I'd give them a shot and see where they measure up. Immediately upon walking in one thing is for certain, the style and decor of the place is 5 stars along with the cleanliness. There is no greasy funky smell like in some other burger spots so that is a plus for those of us that are sensitive to smells..LOL I was unsure of what to order. My gut wanted the Yellow Submarine that fellow yelper Blue A. got and I was secretly hoping they added more pineapple based on his review. I guess the guy at the register saw my internal struggle and asked if he could make a suggestion. This guy sold me on a burger that I would never order in a million years but he was so convinced I would love it and he was so awesome about it that i went for it anyway! I ordered a chocolate shake and a Ring of Fire burger- cheddar cheese, grilled onions, grilled jalapenos, spicy chipotle mayo and spicy cilantro mayo. This burger had a punch. For those stating the burgers lacked flavor- not this one so you may want to try and give them a shot. My burger was great with just the right kick. On this initial visit, I would say 4 stars. The 'Original Sin' burger was flavored very well with mouth watering juiciness between the grill flavor, the melting dripping mozzarrella cheese, grilled onions, the garlic mayo and pesto sauce. In addition to these flavors going are pepperoni and salami slices stacked on top! Rounding this out was nice light crunch from their chopped lettuce at the bottom pile. All encased within a soft bread. Savory! And as a side I highly recommend the Cajun seasoned fries. I normally don't eat many fries due to the filling factor, but these are well worth it. Addicting subtle seasoned fries don't need condiments added and they in fact pair very well with the burger! A welcomed dimension of taste. The rock themed restaurant is a great concept rarely seen in Miami, as well as enjoying listening to the classics and looking at the plethora of memorabilia on the walls. I know I don't belong here. It's basically a burger place with only one vegetarian burger option. So base what you read on that fact. My burger was good but it was visually a mess. The secret garden looked like a frozen vegetable patty with what looked like McDonald's Big Mac sauce drowning it out. I wish they would have used a more original patty. The size of the burger is certainly large. They don't have ice tea, so outside of water you better like sugary drinks or beer. They do offer outside seating as well as limited indoor seating. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking. Hours are somewhat limited right now so make sure you call to see what wait times might be like. I was told 25 minute wait for a burger when I went but it was done sooner. read more

I'm told since the meat is fresh they can't get it well done (huh?) the lady offers to give me my money back, puts it on the table with a condescending smile and proceeds to talk about me to the cook in Spanish, as if 1) I don't understand and 2) I drove all the way over here to purposely get a bad burger and have to go eat somewhere else. My bun was soggy though from all the sauces so I had to take it off. The onion rings were my favorite! And the pizza fries were a cool idea, but not my cup of tea. I don't think I'll be returning. I arrived and the place was very clean and the decorations eclectic. Great vibe. I decided to build my own burger and went with Cheddar cheese, grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, grilled pickles, potato sticks, chipotle mayo and a tomato. I also was intrigued by the sweet potato fries drizzled with caramel and sprinkled with cinnamon.. I originally asked to leave out the cinnamon and caramel but Andre convinced me otherwise. Remember the Colombian-American fast-food truck named Yellow Submarine? The brothers Andreas and Flavio, along with sister Angela, now operate a storefront restaurant just north of Sunset Drive on SW 117th Avenue. The owner/operators are super friendly and accommodating. The decor theme is Rock music, with a wall of posters and album covers (see the photo), a deconstructed drum set on the opposite wall, and a panel of classic cassette boxes on the wall near the register. Altogether pretty cool! Aside from beverages, there are basicly four foods on the menu: Burgers, Hot Dogs, Wings and Fries. There are mini-burgers, chicken nuggets and Kool Aid on the kids menu. The names of the burgers and 'dogs are also rock music themed (see the menu photo). The toppings and ingredients in the various named combinations are pretty much evenly split between American Classics and Colombian-style. I've been twice, and have had a hot dog, burger and fries. The hot dog was the Colombian-style "Paradise City" dog, with Mozzarella Cheese, Pineapple Sauce, House-made Mustard, House-made Tomato Sauce and Crushed Potato Chips. I think the chips were actually pulverized in a food processor, as they were very fine. Off-hand I would say the underlying hot dog is a New York style one, perhaps National Deli. I liked this a lot. The flavors blended well, and didn't mask the quality hot dog. Warning! It is very messy! By the way, this combination was named "Yellow Dog" on the food truck. The burger was the Yellow Submarine. It is a medium-sized patty of, I think, about 5-6 ounces, grilled and topped with Mozzerella Cheese, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Onions, Pineapple Sauce, House-made Tomato Sauce, House-made Mustard and Crushed Potato Chips. It's the same add-ons as the Paradise City dog with the addition of lettuce, tomatos, and onions. They offered the choice of raw or grilled onions, and I went with grilled. I liked the burger. It was hot and juicy, and like the hot dog the various sauce flavors melded together seamlessly. If I were pressed to be critical, I would say that for my taste the burger patty itself could have been more seasoned (with basic salt and pepper), and the bun was a bit dense (on the other hand, it held up to the juiciness pretty well). I still recommend it! The fries were rather ordinary frozen french-fries, with a bit of Cajun? seasoning on them to liven them up a bit. I'm definitely going to return to try some of the other burger and hot dog offerings. read more
