Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses. The deli offers an impressive variety of hot foods. The sandwiches coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic, and there are plenty of pasta dishes and traditional Italian entrées available as well. We didn't order a hot meal on this visit, but we'll definitely be back to try one. The market section is also worth browsing. They carry a wide selection of pastas, sauces, olive oils, canned tomatoes, and other Italian staples. My only suggestion would be to expand the specialty pasta selection with options like squid ink, spinach, or roasted red pepper varieties. Of course, we couldn't leave without visiting the bakery case. We brought home an assortment of Italian cookies, a black and white cookie, a Napoleon, chocolate cannolis, and a brownie. The brownie was the one item that didn't impress us, but everything else was delicious and tasted fresh. One thing to be aware of is parking. The lot is quite small, and both we and several other customers ended up parking across the street. It's not necessarily something the business can control, but it's worth mentioning if you're visiting during a busy time. The fact that this shop has been around for decades says a lot about the quality and loyal customer base they've built over the years. Overall, we had a very good experience and are looking forward to returning to explore more of the deli offerings.

The sandwiches themselves were good, instead of having big chicken meat chunks like Subway tends to have in their sandwiches they had deli shaved chicken. There were eight of us in total who had a sub, and none of us were unhappy with our sandwich. I would stop by again if I were in the area to grab a bite to eat and take a look at everything in the shop again.

If you are loooking for a GREAT meal at a more than fair price, you need to make your way to Rocket Burger, Subs & More! They make delicious burgers and their french fries are made from scratch. As is most everything on the menu. The homemade chili has a nice kick to it. Try it on the fries with melted cheddar cheese or have a mouth watering chili dog. The subs are truly phenominal. All fresh ingredients, and made just they way you want it. The Italian will knock your socks off!!! You can get them toasted or cold and they are fantastic either way. They recently added gyros to the menu and the homemade tiziki sauce, on the crisp, fresh, vegetables, the gyro meat, and warm soft pita make for a perfect combination. The next exciting thing about this place is the selection of outstanding soda varieties. They have a nice selection of, out of the ordinary sodas, that can't be found just anywhere. This place is a hidden gem, a bit of a hole in the wall that might be challenging to locate if you're not actively seeking it. The burgers here are ok - not amazing, but good. Toppings/varieties seem pretty average as well. Nothing to write home about, but nothing negative either. This place would get a solid 3-star review, but the soda selection gives it another star. They have several refrigerated cases of soda by the bottle, different varieties from all over. One entire case is just different kinds of root beer, including one I can hardly find out in AZ, "Dang! That's good!" butterscotch root beer. This is my guilty pleasure! Their Reubens are the BEST I have ever tried. Always loaded with pastrami and delish cole slaw and i love that they toast their Marble Rye, it really kick the whole sandwich up a notch. I have never left a speck behind. Their fried pickles are how I always want fried pickles to taste, but every other place I tried before left something to be desired. During my first visit to this restaurant, I found it bustling with activity. After approaching the counter, I paused to look over the menu and decided on the New York Burger with fries. I also chose a peach-flavored pop from the cooler. The burger was exceptionally tasty and satisfying, and the fries were perfectly prepared. It was a fantastic meal overall. Thank you Yelp, for another great find in the ASU West area! Hand breaded onion rings, homemade chili, and a wall full of sodas--I hope I sold you already. If not, try cheap. Like ridiculously cheap for every menu option. Awesome tasting burgers and sandwiches, a huge selection of boutique sodas and great service every time. Absolutely awesome old school place. This place is a blast! These guys really have fun creating new and exciting types of burgers. They use high quality ingredients and have a huge selection to choose from, and I'm not even talking about the wall of craft sodas! The burgers are amazing, if you are passing through phoenix and have never been than you need to make a point to stop, I do everytime im in town visiting my family.
