This is a great place to get a great burger. The patties are somewhat thin so you might have get at least a double. I noticed that the bun was very fresh and tasted great. Omg!! The Baja burger was amazing!!!! So flavorful and the coleslaw made the burger taste so yummy! The Santa Fe burger was good and it had fried peppers in it. It wasn't as good as the Baja burger but still yummy. I wasn't a fan of the onion rings but the fried zucchini was really good. The portion sizes are freaking big and we ordered the smallest burgers! I can't even imagine what the rocket size looks like. I love how they have so many drink selections which are in fridges kinda like what you see at the gas stations. Cute concept place with a huge selection of sodas. I ordered my lunch for pick up today. Cheeseburger with decent amount of fries. Both were very good and reasonably priced. Will be back for sure. Any flavor soda you can think of .. They have ... From root beer cream to cherry to bacon maple and banana .. The mushrooms are phenomenal as well and again made to order.. Piping hot .. My favorite burger is the afterburner single.. Found this place on Yelp today. Can't believe I've never heard of it! Crazy selection of sodas, (picture Rocket Fizz + some). Old school burgers and sandwiches abound here. My friend ordered the Cali Burger and loved it. I ordered the Afterburner Chicken sandwich and loved it, except the bun fell appart and was a little big for the sandwich. The fries were really good, but the onion rings were exceptional. I am very picky about onion rings and usually stay from them. These only have a thin batter coating, and it's very flavorful. So I found this place on Yelp and I'm so happy I found it!!! I'm pretty new to Phoenix and have been looking for a good local burger joint since I moved here. Everything I had was so good and very filling, the staff was very friendly to me also when I said this was my first time. She answered all of the questions I asked and she said I hope you enjoy and come back.....I'll DEFINITELY be back. I had multiple items to test out things, Garlic Melt Burger, a hotdog, cheese curds and fries. The only thing I didn't try just yet is the hotdog cause I got full from the other items. New Yorker Pastrami Sandwich! Amaze-balls! Yum! Awesome cut of pastrami with fine cut cole slaw and an amazing sauce that could possibly contain a spicy mustard. Not sure. I just know the combo worked quite well. Hub got a bacon cheeseburger and liked it very much. French fries were like shoe string type. We also got some Dads Red Cream Soda and Orange Cream Soda from their vast array of sodas. Very good! The counter dudes were very nice and helpful and probably deserve raises because they actually care about providing good customer service! Good job guys! Delicious food and a good value! I've been going to Rocket Burger for years now and I can't get enough of it every time I pop in. Their Teriyaki burger is sublime, among the best I've had (including "gourmet" burgers) and the fries are the perfect balance between crunchy and fluffy. The selection of sodas are to die for, there's something for everyone. Though the price is more expensive than a meal at In-N-Out, the difference is well worth it. I spend around $8-10 every time I eat there for a burger, fries, and a bottled drink or two. This is definitely a must-have for anybody in the Phoenix area. read more

Price for the quality.of food is excellent. I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in. The floors were dingy and most of the tables still had food on them. The menu is packed full of interesting combos or you can build your own sandwich. I chose the beast. A hot roast beef sandwich with roasted red peppers, horseradish mayo and all the usual lettuce tomato fixins. It was a stellar sandwich. My son got a build your own and it came out with lots of meat and veggies piled high. No skimping here. I took off one star because the bathrooms and floors aren't clean. Wow! So a friend introduced me to this place and I have to say, I'm quite impressed. My first time there, after perusing the menu, I got a single "gyro burger". It's as awesome as it sounds! My friend and I ordered two combos, a 6 pack of their awesome classic soda collection and some chili cheese fries. The portions will fill ya'. The owner is very friendly and quite helpful if you're new to the menu. I loved "Pop the Soda Shop" and it moved all around AZ until, I guess they closed.
