Rocket burger has been on my bookmark/bucket list of places to try and this was my first time here today. I got the cheese burger special for 4.99 includes fries and a drink , plus the 10% off if you check in through yelp . The cheeseburger had really good flavor it was dressed with the usual and what made it so special was the burger sauce. The sauce had a little bit of a kick , not too much but enough to make you want more. The only negative is the bun was too thick for my taste, but I ripped the inside of the bun and enjoyed the burger . The fries seems to be hand cut and I think they are cooked in some kind of veggie oil like Crisco. They looked better than they tasted. Then again everyone has their own preference in what they think is a good French fry. Who knows it might be your cup of tea. Oh and by the way they had a crazy cool collection of soda pop. read more

Very nice burger selection (toppings not patty type), I've been here several time for lunch and enjoyed it every time. Huge selection of soda, more then I have ever seen. If you don't want a burger try the buffalo Chicken and the fried mushrooms...very good. Beware, this is not a light meal, better for the younger crowd. read more

I loved there Baja burger! The slaw and salse in that burger went extremely well. The workers here are nice as well to always ask how our food was and if we enjoyed it. I had a smile on my face the first bite of that burger. The zuchini and onion rings were huge portions, so that was a plus. No fancy schmancy interior. Just clean and cost effective. Best cheese curds I've had in Phoenix. Not fast food style with homemade breading, not frozen varieties like others. Had a hot dog as well. Not a big fan of their sauerkraut, but I am picky being Polish and German. Good dog and a good bun. Staff was friendly too. This place just doesn't do it for me. Even with their check in special I feel like it's way over priced for what it is. It will cost min $50 for my family to eat there and that's too much for the area/food. These are burgers and hotdogs people. My kids hate the breading on their chicken but like the corn dogs. LOVE the local joints. Actually found this place on Yelp and was glad that we did. Ordered the pastrami burger and let me tell you, there is absolutely no comparing that masterpiece with anything else. The burger was completely delicious. It literally punched me in the mouth with flavor. We also got their philly and wow. Every ingredient was proportionate and made every bite damn near heaven. this place is truly one of a kind. the guy who has worked here for a long time (the owner?) is pretty introverted, but a reply good guy. I don't think he means to be rude, he's just an awesome quiet guy. the food is always on point and the soda is always cold. the only thing that would make it better is a bigger spot for this place to really grow. another thing that I wouldn't mind is bigger patties on the burgers. the double patty is a must here. read more

First time coming today after reading their reviews. I had the Philly Cheese Steak Burger, and it did not disappoint. Decent sized patty covered with thin slices of steak, peppers, onions, and a gooey slice of cheese melted on top and all inside a toasty bun...DELISH!! Also ordered a side of fried zucchini, which I thought was really good, but a little on the greasy side. If you like a good greasy burger, then this may be your place. It honestly would be a 4.5 kind of place but I'm rounding up because of how quick the service was and the insane variety of sodas you can choose from. it's basically the Total Wine of soda places. I got some Leninade soda and it was delicious! The wife got a grape soda that made you forget about any other grape soda you've ever had. The food is great too. I had the Santa Fe burger and it had a weird sweetness to it that I wasn't expecting (it had to be the pickles!) , and a very nice bun that absorbed everything the burger was throwing at it, and it was a lot (Good house sauce!). Their teriyaki pineapple chicken sandwich is AMAZING. And their fries are very good as well. Perfect flavors! I have been in Phoenix for work for about a week and have eaten here three times so far! I had the "Afterburner"... It was really fresh and really good. I wasn't real crazy about the horse radish on it, but that's just me. The chicken was awesome. My daughters had the Gyro burger. I sniped a taste, it was exceptionally good. They have an absurd variety of sodas... including Jones and Jolt -two of my childhood favorites. My bill with those three combos was a little over $27. Decided to try something new near my work. Saw the reviews on Yelp and I knew I had to try this place. I ended up dragging 2 of my co-workers with me. The food is MASSIVE proportions, well, at least for me. I had the New Yorker rocket size. Let me just tell you a bit about the rocket size... It's the sandwich or burger you want but on a long bun with 3 beef patties. Even a regular hamburger was a good size. It was so messy but so good. What can't I say about this place? Extremely friendly staff, amazing selection of sodas both on tap and in bottles, and the burgers are something special too! I love burgers but my taste for them has evolved into something more defined as I've gotten older. Rocket Burger has an impressive menu with varying tastes where anyone can find something that suits them. I tried the New York and the Garlic burger. Wow. Those were extremely different and delicious! Made fresh to order and quicker than I thought it should take. The only drawback? It's in Phoenix and I live in Mesa... My poor gas tank. Simply put, one of the best burger shops in the city. The meat is fresh, albeit a tad greasy, the cheese and bacon rock, and their crazy twist on 1000 island is awesome! Only detractor is the grease as it destroys the bread. But the main event? The cooler packed with the 350 best soft drinks you never new existed! The burgers are great, a little greasy but delicious. Their's a great list of burgers to choose from. I try a new one every time I go and have never had one that I didn't like. Bomb ass hamburger. No hamburger extraordinaire could go unsatisfied. The burgers come on sesame submarine buns so they are quite bigger than most. What a find! The location might leave a bit to be desired, but the burgers definitely do not. This is a unique restaurant that has amazing burgers, fries, and a wall of bottled sodas. I am so glad Yelp let me find this place and am sure there are many places all around the Valley which I am also missing but have the hope of finding now that I use Yelp! This is the perfect little mom & pop burger and sub shop! The burgers are out of this world and my wife likes their subs. If you check in on Facebook or Yelp you get a 10% discount as well.
