Wow! We couldn't believe all the novelties, candies, and choices of sodas that this place has! Most of the choices are ones that you have a hard time finding because they're from Europe or they're not currently on store shelves. Part of the fun is looking around at all the selections...I couldn't help but enjoy myself! The staff are really nice and if you have any questions, they have the answers. This place was really cool to look around in. We spent almost 45 minutes picking out candy and messing around. There were at least 100 varieties of soda pop including bacon and pickle. **After getting a response back from the shop owner I can clearly understand why the management is so rude, look at the example of leadership they have. If your team was so well trained in loss prevention and customer service she would have clearly seen us set down the pack of gum. I get it trying to defend your business on Yelp but don't try to be a power house behind a keyboard. Walked in with an ice cream and was immediately told NO OPEN FOOD. I respectful stepped out to finish my ice cream outside the shop. I looked for a waste basket and couldn't find one to discard my ice cream stick and tray in. So I set it outside till I finished my shopping with my family. As I walked in the associate aggressively let me know where I could throw away my trash inside the shop. Listen lady I didn't want to be rude and bring the trash inside the store after you aggressively told me I wasn't aloud in the store with it. We picked up an old school pack of gum to purchase. My mom then decided she didn't want it. The associate stopped us to ask if we wanted to purchase the gum after we had already put it down. (Accusing us of stealing the $2 pack of gum) needed to say I won't be back. Total disappointment. Learn how to treat your customers. read more

This location is the best one out of chain that I've seen! The owners are constantly looking for new and fun sweets to add to change up their merchandise by adding tons and tons of unique pieces that you normally don't see anywhere at all! Truthfully, for a girl that likes to watch what she eats, it's honestly pretty hard to resist. They do a fabulous job with the upkeep of the place and everything is so fresh and well stocked. What a great shop and owner! I found the shop when visiting friends in San Clemente, and I am SOOOOOO glad I did. I had been looking for some unique goodies to use for a wedding, and the shop had some things that I hadn't seen anywhere else. When I talked to the owner about what I needed, she was extremely responsive and talked with me over the next few weeks to put together a wonderful bag of yummies. Very cool retro store. The owner is very friendly and helpful. They haven' been open very long but they are picking up momentum very fast due to the quality of their service and products. Their wide selections will keep you coming back for more. I live down the street and I come in here all of the time picking up sweets and sodas for myself and as gifts for friends and family. Definitely a great place to pick up some holiday and Christmas presents for people. I'm extremely disappointed in Rocket Fizz San Clemente's complete disregard for their staff and customers' safety during COVID-19. I visited the store today and was surprised to find that both workers behind the counter were not wearing a mask. There was no shield or barrier of any kind at the counter either so I felt extremely uncomfortable when paying for my purchases and tried to stay as far away as possible. I was going to just walk out of the store but my son was begging for his favorite candy so I tried to make it as quick as possible. The mask mandate is statewide and this store has zero regard for it. Very disappointed and won't be coming back. read more
