See's Candies is one of our favorite chocolate candy stores and there is a reason why it has been around for so long. In fact this is the only candy I am willing to take on the calories as I can never pass this candy up! Staff is always so welcoming and I love the samples they give you ! The Mission Viejo location. I went there last week and bought a candy bar, my favorite addiction. The old bat who serviced me did not offer me a sample. I couldn't believe it. I'm 69 years old and have been going to See's my whole life and never walked away without an offer of a sample. BTW, I am black. Is she a racist??? I don't like to play the race card, but the customer before me got a sample, from a different clerk. Hmmm. I think I'll go in again and test them, but next time, the clerk will get confronted if no sample offered. read more

This Sees Mission Viejo location in particular, has demonstrated being top-notch, in understanding customers that may be out of the norm. See's Candies of MV is located downstairs on the first floor of The Shops in Mission Viejo next to the water fountain, elevators, and MAC. They've been at that location a long time and of course as you all know, the company itself has been in business for many years. I typically go to See's during the holidays as I love chocolates, but it's not something I have to have. I don't visit chocolatiers very often. Chocolates also typically last a long time with me because I savor them and don't eat more than one or two at a time. This shop gets quite busy towards the end of the year but the staff are nice, helpful and professional. What we buy; 1) Nuts & Chews assorted box 2) dark chocolates assorted box 3) peanut brittle 4) dark chocolate covered almonds 5) See's Awesome peanut brittle bars - yes that's what it's called. 6)Brittle covered in chocolate 7) Dark California brittle 8) the assorted lollipops See's is good, but I have to admit I am a bit of a chocolate snob. For me, See's is a 3 out of 5 stars. They're good but you can definitely tell the difference and quality of their ingredients versus a high end chocolate shop. read more

Love Sees chocolates. They are the best! Easily 5 stars. The service at this location is definitely hit or miss, and likely mostly miss, unlike other Sees locations. To be fair, a mall location definitely gets more traffic, so they have more throughput, unlike stand alone locations. My most recent vistit from last week is a good case in point. When I got to the front of the short line, my helper was already distracted by helping the other associate. She finally looks at me and nods. I start telling her what I want, and right away she turns away from me and goes back to the other associate. Finally, she gets back to me, and gets my stuff. As she's ringing me up, someone walks in and she starts a conversation with this guy. Hands me the receipt while continuing her conversation with him. No "thank you" or "good bye" or anything. As I started walking out, I muttered " great service". read more

You can tell there is no customer service training for the employees. I was standing there for over 3 minutes and without greetings.

I just had the loveliest shopping experience at See's in Mission Mall. I asked Rodney M. for ideas for small holiday gift exchange presents. He was so knowledgeable and friendly and enthusiastic about helping me find exactly the right things at the right price points. Product tampering: Factory seal missing from can of almond royals. Bought a can of almond royal at this location. When I got it home I discovered that the aluminum foil factory seal is missing. So either someone tampered with the can or the staff of the store recycled stale candy in an empty can. Unacceptable either way. If I complain to the media or via social media Sees will have to recall candy nationwide. If I do not hear back via Yelp that is precisely what I will do. By the way, your shop in Camarillo where I live is notorious for selling stale candy. But at least the factory seals are in place. read more

I love that they give you a sample before they take your order. They are my favorite chocolate for gift giving. My parents and grandparents all have their favorite chocolates and I always know I will bring a smile to their faces when I show up with a box of See's. Employees at this location are so clueless and rude. Waited in line for over 15 mins to be passed over and not helped. I was trying to purchase 2 candy bars. Asked why I was skipped and the employees didn't even look up. I was totally ignored. I wasn't quiet either. I Just walked out after that. So dumb. Train your employees before you put them on the floor on how to ring people up while in a line. You would think it would be self explanatory, but not for the employees at this location. read more

Sees what more can I say other than their chocolate is the one of the best brands out there! I've grown up on their chocolate and given it as gifts I can't even count how many times as who doesn't love pure chocolate goodness! My favorite has to be their truffle style chocolates oh they are soo good especially the blueberry one you bit into dark chocolate and get a delicious blueberry type surprise that is just irresistible for so many reasons! They have pretty much all kinds of chocolate concoctions you can think of and the best part is that when you get your own box you can pick what delicious variety's you want inside now if that doesn't scream awesome chocolate goodness than I don't know what does! I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before I venture back to See's as they always have friendly service delicious chocolates and of course their legendary free samples that we all love! read more

I am not a big fan of malls, and had I had more time I may have driven to the Foothill Ranch location, but time was definitely not on my side with what I was trying to do... I stopped in here yesterday, and I wish I got the girls name that helped me, but I didnt. She came out with a sample of a Blueberry Truffle that was AMAZING, and asked me what brought me to the store. I stated I needed a Boss's Day gift and she showed me a couple of options after asking me about what I wanted to spend. I picked a few things, had a coupon that she took with no problem, paid, and I was on my way. Came in to the Mission Veiejo Mall location today and it was busy inside See's. There were 3 employees behind the counter. Many customers were waiting in line to get custom boxes from behind the counter (totally worth the wait) and others were waiting in that line to pay for there pre made boxes. There was no additional help at the small side register to ring people up for the pre-made boxes. Megan is the most efficient friendly employee at this location. She was training 2 new people and working her booty off! She came out from the back to ring up the other customers at the small register and when she was done she came back to making custom boxes. Megan did all of this with a smile on her face! Some of the older ladies at this location can be crabby, but Megan was running the show! She needs to be the manger if she isn't already! I did have a problem--- the person who I was with, my dad, is diabetic and he wanted to sample one of their sugar free options, and if it was good he wanted to buy a box of the sugar free almonds, walnuts, or bars. The lady who gave us our samples said they do not have any sugar free samples so he was sad we didn't get to sample any of the sugarless options, and therefore didn't buy any sugar free items. read more

I came in tonight looking for something sweet. The chelsie with milk chocolate amd walnut hit the spot. Yummy and awakens the taste buds as the ATP rushes throughout the system and brings me back from hypoglyemia. I know its not the healthiest, but its the yummiest. I usually dread going into sees because most of the time the employees just want to get you your box of chocolate and get you out. But today I was helped by a gal named sydney who was THE MOST HELPFUL and kindest employee I have ever been helped by.
