Caught up with this great truck at Potent Potables recently. First visit of the season, but hopefully a bunch more coming in the next few months. As always, they were super friendly and excited to welcome me back to the truck. They've got a few new items on the menu, but I'm a creature of habit, and only deviated slighly from my normal order . This time I got the Cheesesteak platter, basically a cheesteak and all the filling over rice, racther than in bread. It was fantastic, and hit the spot. We liked that they are a local family and appreciated their responsiveness to the multiple emails related to availability, pricing, etc. They were setup and prepared in the designated parking area prior to lunch time. Friendly and welcoming they invited people to step up and place their orders. There were printed menus available for those that needed to peruse the menu. Also, it worked really well pre-ordering a few appetizers to share and an array of the desserts packed up for later in the afternoon. Pretty good for a quick easy meal. In all honesty, I tend to avoid food trucks as they can be a little sloppy and overpriced, but I enjoyed my experience here. The owners were kind and enthusiastic, and the energy of the whole staff made it even more enjoyable. The food was hot and freshly made, was prepared very quickly, and was not greasy at all which was great. The meat was not seasoned much and lacked a ton of flavor, even with sauce, so I would probably order something else next time. But the fries were great and portion sizes were nice. Had heard amazing things about this from a friend and wanted to try them out and finally had the opportunity . At face value this is a standard food truck serving up middle eastern cuisine, but once you take your first bite you know why the hype! I got the chicken rice platter and their morocon roll and it was absolutely smashing! The chicken was so tender and flavorfull, the rice were perfectly fluffy and the hot sauce was HOT!! Very friendly service and very well organized. Clean nice looking truck with a table set up with utensils and sauces and a register. They give you a buzzer for your order and the wait was less than 10 minutes for me. I went with the Everything Platter for a sampling of what they had. The Saffron chicken, Gyro (lamb and beef), Kefta (beef kabobs), and Falafel come on a bed of rice with sides of pico and slaw. The slaw was one of the best I've ever had! It also comes with pita bread and tzatziki sauce. I also tried the other sauces they had and all were tasty. The meats and the falafel were perfectly seasoned and delicious. I'll be tracking them to see where they go next. Hopefully someplace in Chatham county, maybe Siler or Pittsboro. Amazing quality and service under pressure! I most recently got Rockin' Moroccan during a trip to Gypsy Road brewery. It was an unseasonably warm day and the place was absolutely packed. This food truck had an extremely long line and was operating under a lot of pressure. They were out of a lot of their usual menu and had to pivot to sandwiches. They were able to offer up a falafel wrap to me, which was a great surprise! They took down my number to text when it was ready. Since they were severely backed up, they did a good job setting the expectation that it would be 40 mins minimum before the food was ready. The thing that impressed me the most was that the owner and the staff on the truck was very vocal to the line about the situation. They also expressed appreciation for the business and were transparent about the fact that they were sending people to restock. When I did get my food, I scarfed it down and neglected to get a picture. It was super tasty and the acidity in the tzatziki sauce was a dream on the falafel pita. Also, the side of fries was a hearty portion. I appreciate that they didn't skip on servings, even though they were low on stock. Overall, I highly recommend checking this food truck out. I wish I could give RM 10 stars - that's how great they are! I am in charge of booking food trucks for our neighborhood and RM was completely awesome throughout the entire process. I reached out to as many food trucks as I could think of and these guys were some of the first to respond. They were super accommodating and we picked a couple of dates for them to come out very easily. They also followed up in an extremely timely manner if I messaged them with questions or comments about anything. The day they came out I can't say enough about the exceptional customer service. Mike is the nicest guy who explained the menu thoroughly and answered any and all questions from our residents. The food also came out in a timely manner which is important when serving a bunch of people at the same time. He had excellent communication with his wife Amina who by the way is an amazing pastry chef! But more on that in a second! I dont see any other food trucks having the level of service that RM provided. Now on to how delicious our food was. We got both the cheesesteak and the burger. My burger was so well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sauce for the fries was to die for, I could drink it. Not to mention their garlic ranch which they also bottle. For lunch the next day I ate their pita dipped in garlic ranch because I just couldn't get enough. My husband got the cheesesteak and let me try it and the meat was well seasoned and tender. We also got sides of the falafel and spring rolls which were fabulous but the three sauces we got with them sent them to another level. Lastly, we tried Amina's homemade chocolate mousse cake with homemade caramel sauce and if I could bathe in that caramel I would. Seriously one of the best desserts I've ever had so don't sleep on ordering a sweet treat when visiting this truck! My husband has been raving about this place for months but we never managed to catch them nearby after work. The stars finally aligned last weekend and now I understand completely why he spoke so highly of this food truck! From the moment we walked up, it felt like we were among long-time friends. I went with friends to the Gypsy Road Brewery. They have a big bar, inside seating and a fantastic patio behind the building with lots of dining tables, cushy seating, fire pits, heaters, fairy lights and live music. The atmosphere is fantastic and the bartenders are very accommodating. The food truck tonight was the Rockin Moroccan. I follow them on Instagram so I always know their schedule but it's never timed out for me. Let me just say, after tonight, I would follow them anywhere. Since I was a first timer, I got the Everything Platter so I could try, well, a little of everything. It came with Saffron Chicken, Gyro meat, 2 pcs of Kefta, 2 Falafel Balls, Pico with cucumbers, Slaw with corn, 1 full Pita Bread, Tzatziki sauce and yellow rice. They also have extra sauces at the pick up table. It was a lot of food for a great price and I have leftovers for tomorrow. The saffron chicken was so tender and juicy. The Gyro meat was the best I've ever had. It was shaved thin, full of flavor and it practically melted in my mouth. I've never had slaw or pico like this but they were both a treat. The Kefta was also new to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I've had Falafel before, but never like this. They were perfectly fried and the chickpeas and spices were a perfect blend. This family travels back to Morocco to buy authentic Moroccan spices. That kind of love and care really shows in their food and how they handle themselves. It puts them above the rest..BY FAR. The food was so delicious, I went back to the truck to express my delight. They were so gracious. They don't just sell great food, they are good people. The best food truck experience I have had, ever. From the moment I walked up, the family was welcoming, friendly, helpful and patient. I knew I wanted the lamb shank from the moment I came because I was following their instagram account. The ordering process was easy, and now I had to wait. They had a buzzer system to tell you when your order was ready. While waiting, I asked if they had cannolis, which is something they have occasionally, the chef was so gracious to pipe them for me because I asked. I ate them first, those crispy, crunchy, lemon vanilla filled tubes of joy with caramel and powdered sugar made me actually dance. Now let's talk about this lamb shank platter, the fries, good and seasoned, the grape leaves, great flavor yet the rice cooked to perfection BUT THIS LAMB SHANK!!! Very popular food truck in Greensboro area! Very friendly staff. The food was fresh and almost no wait time for the food truck despite their popularity. The food was nice and hot. Due to "peer pressure" (the 4 people before me got the same thing), I got the Moroccan cheesesteak w/ fries and it was pretty good! I look forward to trying some platters because I have a good feeling I will like them even more! They recommended smothering the fries with sauce which was great if you eat it immediately. The Triad's first Moroccan food truck is a marvel to behold for reasons that go well beyond the novelty of the cuisine. Food trucks typically run with a limited menu offering a few easy-to-prep items. Not this one. Rockin' Moroccan rolls with a full menu that would put some restaurants to shame. Salads, sandwiches (including a decked-out burger), platters, sides, and desserts are for the taking, and there are options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Ordering is a breeze thanks to friendly owners and an efficient system. Mike is usually set up outside the truck with menus, buzzers (for when your order is up), and sauces at the ready. He seems genuinely glad to see all of his customers. Amina, his wife, turns around tickets with speed verging on culinary wizardry. Of course, this would be for naught if the food wasn't up to par, but it is. We've tried the truck twice, and, unable to decide from among the assorted offerings, opted for combo platters both times. The Everything Platter (Saffron Chicken, Gyro, Kefta, Falafel, Rice, Pita Bread, Pico, and Slaw) is a generous amount of food, and while you can get better gyro meat elsewhere, everything here is fairly flavorful. The Saffron Chicken especially is a standout. The Veggie Platter swaps the meats for Moroccan spring rolls and grape leaves for a fresher, but no less filling take. At $13 and $11 respectively, both platters are good values for the portions. With so many good Mediterranean and food truck options in the area, it would be easy for Rockin' Morrocan to be swallowed up by the competition. Stumbled upon this Halal food truck at Joymongers Brewing Co., and wondered why I haven't tried this food truck sooner! The service was amazing, personable with great energy. They have a nice setup with a table on the side with utensils, napkins, & condiments which is such a great use of space! Everything was reasonably priced and I got my food pretty fast. The gyro platter and saffron chicken platter are my favorites. The everything platter is a great one to get if you're unsure- and to try out a nice variety. I've had the pico de gallo, the grape leaves, cole slaw, and their egg rolls- amazing!! They make substitutions if needed and are super helpful and again the nicest people ever! I've been wanting to try this food truck for a while now. I always see it on my walks through the downtown area. I bought the lamb gyro and saffron chicken. You can't go wrong with either. My friend got the lamb shank and it was juicy and tender. The food was spiced well and perfectly cooked. I even saved some saffron chicken for leftovers and it is still tender after microwaving it. They also have great service - fast and efficient. They also have one of the better restaurant online websites/menus I've seen. They were super kind and had asked them what were the popular choices on thier menu and immediately said to try the Lamb Shank platter or the Moroccan cheesteak with Fries, so we had to try both. The food is a great serving size always. You will be full if you eat the entire entree. I like their everything platter. Falafel is cruncky outside but moist inside. The rice is perfectly seasoned and never dry. the kefta, gyro, chicken perfectly seasoned. The kefta is nice because it is seared a little on the outside but retains its juicyness. On the most recent visit, i got the lamb shank - fail of the bone tender from being roasted. Their loaded fries are so good! Is it weird that I get excited when I see Rockin' Moroccan is coming to my area? No, it's not because THEY. ARE. THAT. GOOD. Do yourself a favor and tour the menu. Start with the sampler platter for a taste of their staple flavors. The gyro meat is tender and flavorful on its own but when you put it on their warm pita and add the tzatzki sauce it's elevated to another level. Their take on pico with a Moroccan pico goes well with everything. I'd never had falafel or kefta before but now I can't imagine life without it. If you're early enough (I mean standing in line before they open early) you MIGHT be lucky enough to get their lamb shank. They only have a few a night and I e personally never experienced fall off the bone goodness like that before. Moroccan cheesesteak is a nice twist on an American classic. Caught up with this gem of a food truck today at Oden Brewing (nice set up) and received a warm welcome by the owner. He recommended the everything platter since it was our first visit and passing up the lamb shank was impossible after hearing the regulars request it with excitement. Orders were taken seamlessly and everyone was greeted with the same enthusiasm. Loved seeing the owner's interaction with his wife who had our buzzer buzzing within 10-15 minutes signifying it was time to eat. That's a Rockin' food truck, especially with the extensive menu and flavorful food they are serving. The everything platter came with a nice slaw, cucumber onion tomato salad, rice, chicken, falafel, kefta, gyro and pita. Everything was everything. Seasoned and executed well. The spicy sauce and garlic sauce with the tzatziki perfectly accompanied the food. The garlic sauce is something special. The lamb shank is a star all on its own and I understand why it's a favorite. Perfect blend of flavors with a pleasant hint of sweetness. The lamb meat was so tender the flimsy plastic forks didn't even consider breaking. We all agreed the lamb shank was the fave. The husband and wife team who keep the truck running are so fun and friendly, ready to address any dietary concerns (my other half is gluten sensitive) and eager to offer the best possible food to every customer. They succeed on every level. I had the saffron chicken platter. Each item was scrumptious with a special shout out to the loaded fries: whatever they put in the fez fry sauce amounts to sheer magic. According to the website they sell it by the bottle now so sign me up! The kefta platter was equally awesome. Home cooking served at quick service prices. I overheard other patrons raving about the lamb shank so that's my plan for a future visit. The truck itself doesn't offer beverages so be aware of where they are serving that day if you're looking for low/zero alcohol options. Yesterday (4/26/2023) I got a chance to visit this food truck and I selected the Saffron Chicken Platter. When I tell you that this food was the bomb! I have never had Moroccan food before and it was really good. I ended up on these sweet peoples website, because a co worker was trying to catch them before they left at 1:00 from West 5th St in Winston Salem, well I found their site and discovered they were gonna be on West End Blvd from 5:30-9:30. The gentleman who took my order was very nice and the relationship between he and his wife was beautiful. Now back to my food! The owner informed me that their chicken cooks for 12 hrs. I am not one to visit food trucks, but this right here is my new spot. My next adventure with them, will be the Mountain. Everything was sooo good, the food looked just like the pictures.
