I love CAVA! I get the same thing every single time I go but it's delicious so I don't need to worry about ordering anything new. This is review is about the customer service. I ordered a kids meal to go since I was in town and wanted a lunch for tomorrow. I ordered on the app and it said it would be ready around 9:10 pm. I parked and came inside. I didn't see a bag with my name on the shelf and was asked my name. I let them know and they told me that they were cooking fresh steak and it would be ready soon. One person told me that they were holding off on putting anything (rice, sauces, etc) in my plate so it would still be fresh. Another person offered me a drink while I waited, which I really appreciated! The customer service was just excellent! This is the first time at a CAVA. I heard great things and I was looking for a healthy option while traveling through Greensboro. Rasheed was very helpful and described how to order and made recommendations. You basically design your own meal from assorted options of fresh greens and vegetables, rice, and protein option. I had the Greens and Grains bowl with arugula and brown rice. I added roasted vegetables and assorted toppings. The bowl is huge, I couldn't eat it all. The arugula was fresh and peppery. The roasted vegetables consisted of cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and a few other vegetables. I was hoping for more of a Mediterranean mix of vegetables. The toppings were good. I loved the eggplant dip. All in all, a healthy meal. My husband had the steak, which he said was very good. The Harissa Chicken is hot, as we were warned. Oh, the pita chips are addictive. I ordered online a harissa avocado, bowl and a garlic chicken wrap. This review is based solely on the garlic chicken and veggie wrap. I received my order in a timely manner. The establishment was clean the wrap, however, was soggy inundated with tzatziki sauce. The wrap was basically halfway folded. The brown paper around. It was loose. The sauce was leaking everywhere, out of the bag, onto the fabric of my vehicle. The wrap was so soggy that it was an inedible. I didn't receive this type of service at the West Friendly Cava, and most likely. I will not return to the Wendover Cava, as more attention to detail on presentation needs to be taken. It didn't take long for CAVA to become my absolute favorite restaurant! Everything from the fresh falafel to the brown rice and black lentils is always very fresh and Uber Delicious! They have so many Mediterranean favorites, including red pepper hummus, traditional hummus, roasted eggplant dip, tomato, and cucumber, Persian cucumber... The list goes on and on! They also have baby spinach and Romain lettuce. I love the fact that you can customize your dish by choosing grains or greens or a combination of the two you can also choose to just get a salad bowl without any lentils or rice. with black lentils and brown rice being some of the grains. choices. They also have basmati rice that can also be chosen. I love the fact that they have avocado, which is an additional price, but definitely worth it. They also have Persian cucumbers, which are delicious and pickled onions. it wouldn't be a Mediterranean restaurant without black olives, which are always tasty. Of course I have not listed half of the selections. For proteins, they have two different types of grilled chicken. One is hot harissa honey chicken which is spicy and flavorful. The other is grilled chicken which is well seasoned but not spicy. Both are always seasoned to delightful perfection. They also have my all-time favorite falafel! It is always seasoned just right and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have several different dressings, including my favorite, the hot harissa vinaigrette. The service is always friendly and fast. The place has a cool vibe and always have lively music playing throughout, but it's not so loud that you can't have a conversation with your companion. There are lots of tables and it is well organized, but it's not fancy at all. In fact, the ordering is cafeteria style, but you can see all of the fresh choices as they are preparing your meal. They have a couple of options for desserts, which I have not tried but one is a cookie of some sort and they have a couple of brownies. They have carbonated beverages and I've tried the cucumber lime one that was very refreshing. bottom line: you have to try CAVA if you haven't! The prices are also excellent! The bowl I get is only $17 and change and it's always enough for at least two meals! They have pitas and pita chips that are very tasty as well. My favorite are the garlic pita chips that also have a little bit of some kind of salt and maybe butter on them. They are so good! I just love Cava. You can feel good about getting some greens and proteins in with a delicious lunch here! I really like the staff at this location. There is a lady who works in the front who is just so kind and bubbly, she is usually there when I come in on my lunch break around 2. It's easy enough to get in and out in under 45 minutes. It would probably be even quicker if I utilized the order ahead feature. I much prefer Cava to the Zoe's Kitchen that previously occupied this space. I always left Zoe's feeling a little "blah" and the price felt like a lot for lunch, considering the portions. Cava is hearty and a solid bang for your buck. I will say, sometimes the line does get a little backed up, but truthfully I think this mostly comes from the customers who are having trouble deciding, or are unfamiliar with the food. The staff is always kind and takes the time to engage and answer questions, so I can't knock them for that. As for me, I am a creature of habit here. I love the rice. You can do a half and half to get some extra greens in there. I was feeling carby, so I did a rice bowl and got a side of pita! The stars of the show at Cava - the harissa honey chicken and the garlic sauce. Whatever you do, just add these items to your bowl. They're perfection. I have mastered my bowl and I really just have no intention to branch out! Why mess with perfection? Favorite lunch spot by far. The Harissa Avocado bowl is my go to and every time I check in will likely have a photo of it because it's that good! I love that I have the option to sub the rice for their Right Rice plant based low carb option made from lentils, peas and chickpeas. It's tasty, I get the texture and depth to the dish and it makes it easy to stick with my diet. I will say the price of the bowl stings a bit (approx. $15 + the up charge for Right Rice) but, for me, it is enough for two meals so it's worth the splurge. We're really big fans of CAVA in my house, it's a great place to go eat a quick but healthy meal that you can customize in so many different ways to make it different from your prior visits. This location was very briefly a Zoe's kitchen, but that chain was bought out by CAVA, and from what I understand, they are converting all the locations to this bowl based format. Usually, I am not a big chain eater, but there are some out there that seem to maintain a higher standard of quality and consistency. CAVA is definitely one of them. Everytime we go, the line moves quickly, the staff are efficient and friendly, plus they are not stingy on the proteins. You end up with a nice big bowl each time, sometimes enough for leftovers. The Harissa chicken is where it's at. My only complaint is that for some reason charge a buck extra for it... why? It's just chicken that you have spiced differently. It would leave a better impression if it were just another choice. Quite often, they forget to make that extra charge and you just pass by like it's normal, so that is cool. Love that the toppings are all included (other than avocado). I always like mine with extra pickled red onions and cherry tomatoes. The Skhug sauce on top is a must, the garlic sauce is great but very high in calories, so sometimes I choose something else. I pretty much always get the same three scoops, roasted red pepper hummus, harissa hummus, and the crazy feta. Anyway. 1st time here. I have wanted to try the one near my home ,but was able to check this one out 1,000 miles away. If you love Chipotle and Qdoba, it's the same concept. I realllly liked Cava. Everything was bursting with flavor and the choices were vast. I would definitely come back. I ordered the " create my own" bowl with saffron basmati rice and super greens. I added 3 dips and had falafel and chicken along with every topping except avocados ( $2 upcharge). It was delicious. My son had the pita and really loved his too. I absolutely love cava! Mediterranean food is one of my favorite foods and the crazy feta and the hummus at cava is top notch. I usually get the harissa chicken bowl but decided to try something new today. The vinaigrette was delicious and tangy and the chicken is cooked perfectly. They were super busy today but worked very fast and efficient and the staff were very friendly. The last few times I've ordered from this location and it's been sort of a flop. Missing a lot of ingredients in the salads that were ordered or missing other items in the bag for the overall order. This time I was grossed out finding not 1 but 2 MASSIVE chunk of the head of lettuce in my salad that were rock hard, along with a lot of the lettuce and arugula yellow and wilted which is disappointing. Located in a strip mall with a private parking lot, this take out or eat in restaurant is definitely a great choice with healthy options. It is ample and employees are friendly from the moment you walk in. There is ample seating in a clean well kept environment, with low music in the background. You can get one of their recommended pitas or salads that can be adjusted to your liking on a pita or a bowl. Or you can build your own. Either way they will walk you through the process. I got the Spicy Chicken & Avocado and boy did it hit the spot! The ingredients are all tasted on almost every bite of my pita. Definitely a great combination of ingredients that come well together. The spicyness does not linger, it is temporary. My wife got the Greek Chicken and even though it comes in a pita she requested a bowl and they accommodated. I was very confused as to what Cava was at first. Did they replace Zoe's Kitchen? Re-brand? Re-model?.....Apparently Cava Group bought Zoe's back in 2018 and are now converting most previous Zoe's into a Cava. THIS was for the best. I've eaten there or gotten take out at least 6 times since they've opened. Just keep going back to very good quality food that's fairly fast. You order and it's by menu order or build your own - whether it's bowls, pita wraps, salads. If you build your own: you first choose a green, pita, or grains (or even greens with grains). Choose three dips/spreads, a protein (or two half and half portions), toppings, then dressing (each meal comes with a slice of warm pita). So far so good and it's a smooth chain that the employees maintain. The food itself is very fresh & good quality; the meats are not dry at all. The selection of dressing is a good selection (highly recommend the Garlic). I really hope Cava maintains this level of food quality and service. When this location was Zoe's, it started off strong then quickly, quickly declined. The food at Zoe's stopped being good and fresh, no effort into making good food but rather felt like it was push out food just to push out. Zoe's felt awkward as you could tell there was a disconnect and discomfort between mgmt and its employees (never should be seen or felt by the public). The service at Cava has already surpassed what was at Zoe's. The employees take their time explaining how to order and what is what. They make sure you get what you want and keep the line moving efficiently. Everyone looks as though they get along and when they have downtime, they take the time to go out on the floor and clean tables, change trash, restock any items. ...with that being said I really hope they keep this level of food and service. read more

I had never tried Cava before and it has quickly become one of my "go to" stops for lunch or dinner. They offer bowls and pitas with a nice variety of grains, vegetables, dressing, dips and toppings so you can completely customize your meal. Their make your own greens and grains bowl has definitely become my favorite order. I have both dined in and ordered ahead using their app. The location is very convenient, right on Wendover, and it is nicely decorated and very clean which is always appreciated. A nice place to sit and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend using their app to order ahead and to earn rewards. Using their app to order ahead for pickup has been perfect for me especially during the work week. The reason for four and not five stars is only due to a slight inconsistency I have found especially when ordering ahead. Again, I find myself doing this frequently and it is not uncommon for the order to either be missing an item or an extra topping be added by mistake. Fortunately I am not extremely picky nor allergic to any foods, however I would recommend checking your bag at pick up to be sure it is correct.
