Dined here with my parents on my first weekend in town, and have been back at least 3 to 4 more times in the last month and have never been disappointed. I appreciate that the Chef has a more pared down menu so that exactly what is on there is what he and his staff are great at making. No fillers like chicken fingers, but if they were on there, I can guarantee you they would be the best stinking chicken fingers you've ever had! So FRESH!! I liked the place. Service was average. Fried oysters had problems. You don't batter oysters. Batter is for shit like shrimp and chicken tenders and fish-- things you don't want to dry out. Oysters give off their "liquor" while they cook, so you want to do flour and old Bay, salt, and pepper. Also had a pretty large piece of shell in there too. Were it just for these guys, 2 stars. The steak was surprisingly high quality though. Poorly butchered with gristle and silverskin intact in places, it was ungraded local beef that was prime. Came with boring plain fingerlings, and some weird orange shit on my plate. I'd come back, get to fifth base with your kid sister. Forgot to add, mule was legit, almost 5 stars, but it was in some weird non-copper metal mug. Other than that, fever tree, Tito's, fresh lime, just like I make at home except I put lime rind in mug. read more

Picked up the Pesto Chicken salad for lunch. Very tasty! But I paid $17 for it! Ouch. Good, but not worth that price.

Beautiful interior, attentive staff, appropriate menu and nice wine selection. I ordered the chopped Cobb and a side of oysters. The flavor of the salad was fantastic, but it was not chopped by any means. The oysters had a lovely breading, it would have been quite nice, but unfortunately it was not completely cooked. The top was lovely and brown, but underneath was white and undone. I can cut my own salad, so that was not a deal-breaker, but the undercooked breading on the fried oysters kept me from boosting this review higher than 3.75 stars. Especially since I was one of only two tables in the restaurant at that time. I would come back and try it again. read more

The staff treated us extremely poorly. They were not clear on how the gratuity applied to large groups and then called us back and asked us to tip. Incredibly unprofessional, I have never in my life been called back and asked to tip. After confronting the staff about our confusion and disappointment with our treatment, they continued to be unprofessional and ultimately turned the disrespect around on their customers. Don't make the same mistake we did!!! We've been in the area for work for 10 days and unfortunately for us we found this place on our last night! We thought just cause the name that this was another college student hangout with mediocre food, and mostly burger kind of menu. Boy we're we wrong, the food is outstanding, the service is superb, and the cost is low! And not only that, they are a farm to table restaurant, they source everything they can locally and that's how they get the great fresh flavors into their food! We had the luck of a beautiful warm evening so we enjoyed dining outdoors, but I think I would have been equally happy dining inside. The atmosphere and ambience of the main dining room is great. Due to the time of COVID-19 I must admit this is one of the only places in the area where I've felt I would have been totally safe dining indoors. They take every precaution needed and tables are well apart from each other without taking away the great feeling a good restaurant should give you! Stopped in for dinner because of the reviews on Yelp. Nice looking place from the road, and the ambiance inside is very nice and modern. Unfortunately that is where the experience fell apart. Staff was obviously upset with someone in the kitchen which made for an awkward evening. Food came out slow (which of course was the "kitchen's fault") and had obviously been under a heat lamp. Might be okay for a burger and beer, but entrees are not worth the prices. read more
