Love me a mom/pop coffee shop! Stopped in here on our way to Sedona, which is conveniently located right before you enter into the town. The coffee shop is pretty big and offers small bites and a small selection ofbaked goods. The service was very friendly, being our first time in the cashier went over different coffee options as we were unsure what to get. I stopped by here this morning because I heard they had a variety of GF pastries and I wanted a nice relaxing place to study. This place did not disappoint. First of all, they had a ton of GF options and they are not mixed in the same case as the gluten pastries, they are in their own case. The place itself is super cute and they roast their beans right there. For round1 I had a GF baked apple fritter and a lavender latte with almond milk. I studied for a bit and after a while decided it was time for round 2. The case was pretty picked over at that point, they seem to be a pretty popular place. I ended up getting the maple donut and a pumpkin spice latte with almond milk. Again, both were excellent. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are in Sedona and need to eat GF. Coffee snobs stay away. Do not know what they use, but coffee was so bitter that it made Starbucks taste good. However, this wasn't an issue that tipped me off. I asked if they can make an extra dry cappuccino. They said "yes". Well, dry it was most certainly not. The barista seemed to be a bit offended when I returned the coffee. After I explained what the dry cappuccino is supposed to be, I was told that the milk they use doesn't foam well and this is the best they can do. This is my regular stop when I am traveling to Sedona. It is located right off AZ-179 in the Village of Oak Creek. Oak Creek Espresso roasts their beans on-site and are open morning hours till noon. They have a number of housemade pastries that include gluten-free and vegan options. The Coffee Cake Crumb Muffin and Blueberry Lemon Scone are a couple of my favorites. They have ice cream here too and can make floats and affogato. There can be a bit of a line at times during the weekends, but I have found that it moves pretty quick. My favorite thing after a two hour drive from the Valley is to stop and grab a Honey Lavender Latte and a pastry and sit on the outside patio. The beautiful views of the nearby Sedona red rocks is just breathtaking. read more

Loved the red rock cacao. It's a spicy chocolate drink. I requested an espresso shot to make it a mocha, plus with soy milk. They sell the red rock cacao mix if you really love it. We came here on our visit to Sedona. This was our first time to this coffee shop so we are unaware of how it operates or their coffee "rules". There were two people at the register - trainee and a trainer. The trainer was condescending when we asked questions about their food and their drinks. She looked at me and talked to me like I was stupid for unknowingly ordering something outside what they have (shaken espresso). Not a pleasant first experience and probably won't come back because there are so many other cute places to spend your money at. As far as the food - we came at noon so there weren't many options left for food but we got a buttered croissant and it was pretty good. Over the last 4 days We have gone to Oak Creek 3 times, meaning every morning! We visited Sedona w family over Spring break and stayed at Airbnb near by. After amazing nature in Sedona, this place is the next best thing! I have left over $140 ( including tips) and I am so happy I did!!! Nice coffee shop but the service here is very disappointing. I ordered 5 pastries and 2 coffees, the girl mixed up one of my pastry in which I explained to the girl that handed my order but I guessed she didn't understand what I was telling her. Both girls behind the counter were having a attitude and rolled their eyes. They had me get in line again to do the exchange in which I don't mind. The cash register lady understood right away and exchanged it for me. As for the pastries, if it's not the muffins, make sure you ask them to warm it up because it is hard as a rock. We stopped here for coffee about 11am on a Thursday morning. We enjoy getting coffee and love our lattes. We saw they have a drive-thru as well but thought we would stop in and place our orders. In addition to coffee, they also have baked goods, ice cream and make Affogatos and floats. They also sell coffee by the pound and have swag. Ren Tao Roastery is located next door and they share an opening inside the building. We were able to walk right up to the counter and place our orders. I got a mocha for my mother and myself, I didn't see any specialty drinks like my usual honey lavender latte so I customized it used the honey and lavender syrups with whole milk.
