Everyone is very helpful, they tell you what you need and never try to upsell you, and everyone seems to genuinely want to help.

Amazing today...Good old fashion service.... Went into the store today with a piece of wood from old exterior door I recently replaced. Bob mixed the paint perfectly. His customer service was second to none Every time I go in the people are so helpful. It's nice to go somewhere where people care. When I go to big box hardware I swear the people in the department you are run from anyone who even remotely looks like they needs help finding anything. Keep up the great job, Bob! read more

This is my "go to" hardware store. The location is convenient, as I live in a neighboring town. Most of the time I need general supplies or products. I can't recall ever having a problem with anything I've bought. Whoever is at the register greets customers as they walk in. Recently, I lost my main keyless entry remote and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Ace issues them and at a cheaper price than the dealership, which helps to save money. I did need to wait for the key to be ordered, but the process wasn't complicated and having the chip programmed went smoothly and faster than I expected, so that was a great time saver for me. read more

Went to buy a specific model EGO string trimmer. Online it said it was "in stock - pick up today". Went to store and they had none - employee checked computer which said they had two but staff could'nt find them - talked to manager who offered to order one for me. Apparently online inventory mangament isn't their strength (Lowes and Home Depot always have the exact count of items they show in stock from my experience- Ace needs to get with the times. Lowes online said they had nine in stock - drove over to Lowes and they had exactly nine in stock). Need to improve online inventory management. read more

Great experience at this Rocky's location today. Bob (his nametag said Assistant Manager), was so helpful with some making Benjamin Moore paints, today, August 20, 2015. The store is also extremely clean, and has GREAT deals. (SO much better than the Norwood TrueValue that just opened...). This is one of the few Rocky's locations around that sell Benjamin Moore Paints (there are so few places left that sell it!), and with a good amount of staff members, you won't ever have an issue finding someone to help at the paint counter, look for something, or at checkout. They accept expired coupons as well (they honestly ROCK!). I was actually so mad, I found a ceiling fixture on one of the clearance tables for $2.12, I just bought that at TrueValue for almost $11! The pool supplies were all on sale. The store has a great stock of items and isn't often crowded. The cashier was also friendly. Suggestion: ALWAYS check out the clearance tables near checkout and the back of the store. Also, they PRICEMATCH; honestly, since when do any local, independent stores pricematch! Why bother driving to Lowe's or Home Depot (both about twenty minutes away in any direction, and just look up the items you want to buy on their website and match them to products sold here... much more time effective and cost effective!). Large parking lot and in the spring, they have a huge garden center (that already has great prices), and an overflowing variety of plants. read more

Horrible customer service. Store refuses to honor online pricing for an item which clearly states in stock and available for pickup today. Once at the store checkout, with the item in hand, the price was twice that of the online pricing. Upon showing the website content to the store clerk they refused to honor the price. This is the first retailer I've ever experienced behaving this way. Will NEVER shop this store again. read more

Just purchased a STIHL Km130 powerhead for my Weedwhacker. Took it home and the pull cord came out after the second pull. Since I only live in Medway I was back at the store within 25 Minutes of purchasing this unit. They would not let me return it or even exchange it for a another one. I would suggest anyone looking for power equipment go to Norfolk power equipment they back their products and will take care of you. Update, I called STIHL customer service this morning and learned their Return/exchange policy is different from the store they were very helpful. They told me if Rocky's would not let me return it to call them back and they will get the STIHL district manager involved. I returned it and bought the current Model that is in production at Norfolk power equipment. read more

Brought 5 screens in for repair. Explicit notes on the instructions. Manager understood what we wanted. Picked up yesterday. Screens not fixed to specifications. Told dents were "cosmetic". Manager says she misunderstood the instructions. Actual screen fixer person was defensive and beligerent and said to my husband, in front of his boss, "hey buddy next time go to Norfolk Screen." Then says if we want it fixed the way we're saying that it will cost more for parts. Manager notices that this is not going well and starts to placate us and agrees that the screens will be fixed the way we want them to be. What a nightmare. Small stores like this, this is your bread and butter. Will not shop here again with your huge prices, shoddy work and attitude problem. read more

Definitely nice to have this store around. They carry a nice selection of QUALITY brands (Ben Moore, Big Green Egg,etc) that you won't find at the depot.... they usually have what you need in stock. The paint counter is great! My kids don't mind being dragged here because they always get popcorn. read more

You would really think that being a local store they would have better service but they don't. I went on a weekday morning and wanted a paint sample. I went to the table and waited and waited... so finally I went to the cashier and asked her to get someone. You have to understand this store is the size of postage stamp. What... couldn't they see me? As the paint sample was being prepared some lady came up and wanted help and took my paint person. A long time later.. my paint sample was ready and I couldn't go because my helper was off helping this woman. I hate that... you are not allowed to wait on someone else while you are helping me. After at least 30 minutes... I got my sample. But the color was wrong! Not wrong enough to notice from the outside but clearly a darker color than i had asked for. Also, why are there always 5 people in line every time I go? Don't think you will get "service" here. read more

Rocky's ACE is an embarrassment. Went in on a weeknight to have a couple duplicate keys made. I was kept waiting at the key machine for 35 MINUTES before I gave up and walked out. This wasn't a misunderstanding...multiple employees were aware I was waiting and I asked repeatedly for an update on finding the one employee who was allowed to use the key machine. After over a half hour of this nonsense I told the cashier I was done and walked out. It literally takes 30 seconds to make a key and they kept me standing around and wasted a half hour of my time. This place is a joke and will never get a penny from me again. read more

Prices are as good as big box stores and staff is friendly. I bought a new house in the area and have been in and out of Rocky's practically every week for paint, blinds, tools, and landscaping and have always been very happy. I broke a rake and they took it back no problem for an exchange. read more

If you know what you want and can easily find it its like any other hardware store. If you need assistance, forget it go someplace else.
