We've been here a decent amount over the years, but haven't been in a year or two probably. We were pleasantly surprised to find things seem to be upgraded here. They have new menu items and better flavors. This is basically a Chipotle that specializes in fish. You choose a bowl, a plate or tacos with different fish. They have a decent selection of things, not just alsmon or halibut. They have swai or swordfish. They also have poke now which was very good for the price. You order on digital kiosks and seat yourself. The place is clean but feels a little corporate. Our big takeaway is everything tasted a little better than we remembered, and that was 4 people all saying we were impressed and would come back again. read more

I had a great experience at California Fish Grill. The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a casual seafood spot. The standout for me was the Cajun shrimp. It was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice and cooked very well -- juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. You can tell they know how to handle seafood properly. The portions were also generous, and everything tasted fresh. The menu has a lot of solid options if you like grilled seafood, tacos, or classic fish plates, and it's a great place when you want something satisfying but not overly heavy. Food was ordered on Tuesday afternoon. I got 1 battered and 3 Cajun swai tacos. The Cajun swai tacos were my favorite because they were a smidge spicy. I love how many veggies were included like the corn, lettuce, tomato, red onion, radish. It made the tacos more filling. I like the cilantro sauce that was added. The employee was polite. I got my order in 10 or so minutes. There were a few tables inside the restaurant. I like the fish imagery inside. It was clean. read more

The fire roasted corn and salad were good but the fish tacos were a mess. Instead of using sour cream or some type of dairy cream to make them authentic they use mayonnaise. Yes mayonnaise. It threw off the flavor of the fried fish so much. The fish was also breaded in a weird way definitely not the traditional beer batter. I highly doubt I'll try this place again. I definitely miss Rubios whom California Fish Grill replaced. read more

My wife and I are disabled. Lila M. went out of her way to accomodate our visit there. She brought our food to our table, served our drinks and would check on us to assure we had everything we needed. During our Visit she kept working with the biggest smile as she took food orders. Having my own buisness for over 50 years, I would have hired her just because of her positive attitude alone. Food was great too! read more

Over the years, this is one of the most consistent spots I can always vouch for. I have been to several of their locations, throughout at least 7 years now and the food is always good, healthy, and the prices are reasonable. One of few spots that doesn't keep jacking the prices up every few months for the past 5 years. This time I got the Salmon and Swai combo - fish was cooked perfectly, the sauces were delicious, and the sides were solid as well. Fresh. Delicious. Nutritious. Was out in the area for work and a Shrimp Caesar Salad was a light eat before a work meeting. The shrimp were seasoned with Cajun seasoning, Romaine was crisp, and dressing was savory. My friend had the Rockfish plate with rice and grilled shrimps. We also shared what looks like Parmesan bread with a cheese sauce. California Fish Grill is a great place to get fresh, made to order meals. They have a variety of selection to choose from. I ordered the Everything Protein Bowl with cauliflower rice, and it was packed with protein and seasoned perfectly--super satisfying without feeling heavy. The lobster roll was generous, buttery, and fresh, and pairing it with the sweet potato fries was the right move (crispy and delicious). The salmon was so thin it looked like it came off a deli slicer. Unsurprisingly, it was completely overcooked and dry. Even more surprising? It still had bones in it. If you're going to serve a piece this small, at least cook it properly and remove the bones. This felt like zero effort across the board. read more

Extremely disappointed with my experience at California Fish Grill. This is the second time this has happened when ordering online for pickup! I arrived and gave my name after stating I am here to pick up an online order. The staff looked at the ready-to-go bags and told me my order wasn't there. Five minutes later, another employee came up to me, asked for my name, looked at the bags (literally read the names on the pick up slip slips in her head) and said my order wasn't ready yet. After waiting about 15 minutes, another employee (now the third employee) suddenly said, "Oh, this is for you", read my name off the pick up slip, and handed me the same bag that had been sitting there the entire time -- about 20 minutes after I arrived. My name was clearly typed on the pickup slip. Because the food had been sitting there so long, it was cold, and I had to ask them to remake it. Very poor customer service and disorganization at the front counter. Ordering online should save time, not waste it!!! read more

Hello I have multiple concerns about recent experiences at your restaurant. The kiosks for ordering are very difficult to use, especially for older customers, and your staff consistently refuse to take orders directly, which is frustrating. Additionally, I've observed patrons bringing dogs into the restaurant without enforcement of your service animal policy. I confronted an employee about this, and he said all dogs are allowed. Another staff member even pet the dog, raising hygiene concerns--I've uploaded a photo as proof. This practice is unsafe and uncomfortable for many guests. I hope you will address these issues by improving staff training on service animal policies and offering easier ordering options. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to seeing positive changes.
