Finally tried this football/soccer themed spot on a Friday evening. Dined in after sifting through their vast torta menu! The place is sit yourself, order with the server then pay at the counter. Honestly surprised it's called rocky's tacos when the tortas take up the most space on the menu. You can get a normal or large and we shared the large. This torta was breaded steak with pork and other things but she was messy, yummy, & filling. The fresh mango juice was an added bonus to the meal. Giving this a 3 since it's a local biz, otherwise I would have rated them a 2. I've driven by this place so many times and finally decided to stop in. I got the chicken burrito. Got home (5min drive), unwrapped it... the grease from the protein was so heavy that it soaked the tortilla. I say protein because I don't think it was the chicken that I ordered. I've been to their other location on Montrose, but I came to this one because I thought it was still closed due to Covid. Fortunately, for me their both open now and even more importantly, their food is consistent and taste phenomenal at both locations. They're known for their tortas named after either soccer players or socce My wife ordered their Cuauhtemoc Blanco, which came with Milanesa, ham, and lettuce. It was ok, but the highlight of the night was their Diego Maradona. RIP Maradona. I've had this torta before and I fell in love with it. Usually I like to try other things, not this place. No with this torta. The torta comes with al pastor, ham, pineapple, lettuce, mayonnaise and cheese. The al pastor is so tender and they put a lot of meat in it. Put some hot salsa in it and every bite with some of that pineapple tastes so delicious. Not sure if I'll come to this location since the other location is now open again and a lot closer, it this place is definitely a must try. The staff is friendly and the pricing is very fair. II ordered a chicken burrito and received on with Chorizo I called about this error and the man I talked to kept telling me it's chicken. This is the best torta I've ever had. I highly recommend the Lionel Messi Torta which contains fried chicken, pork, cheese, and avocado! The service is fantastic and the waitress is really sweet. The sauces are very spicy though! Music playlist is also questionable with the vulgarity but the food and atmosphere more than make up for it. Wow does this place deliver. I've been on the look out for a new place to get tacos in West Rogers Park and this might become my new go to place. I ordered via Uber Eats and it got to my door within 20 minutes, the special instructions I had (no dairy) were followed, and the food was hot. My wife and I visited in store once (I guess I forgot to review) and if you are a football (soccer) fan then I imagine you might like the walls. I looked at the menu in their website before going in. Steak tacos cost $2.25 each at the very moment i walked in, i went in and he charged $2.85 before tax for 1 taco. I showed him the price on my phone from their website and he said that is incorrect even thought that was the price they advertised. His excuse was the price changes all the time. They were deceitful and wouldnt honor their own prices, so i left. Luckily this is on clark street and they have plenty of optiona and a more " famous" taco option is just adjacent to them. They charged the same price, just 5 cent less. I went there instead and bought it. Its the principal that matters for me. I could care less about an additional $0.57. Its the fact that they wouldnt honor their own advertised price is why chose not to spend my money here. i will never go back here either because there are better options who arent deceitful. Had he honored the price shown on their website just this once and told me in the future the price will be different/$2.85 they could have had a customer. I want to give this place more, but I can't for something below. I'd give them 3.5 stars if I could. Walked in on a Thursday evening for dinner. Place was empty (except for maybe 3 or 4 other people seated at another table). Saw the menu and started studying the ginormous list of tortas. First thing I notice was that it was freezing inside. Sure in the kitchen, it will always be warm, but it was so cold out in the dining room. My friend and I had to wear our coats and we're still chilly the whole time. Ordered a torta with ham, bacon, chorizo, egg, and lettuce and tomato, which was very good. Tons of meat and great price for what you get. Some flavors and meats overwhelmed others, but overall pretty good. One torta is definately filling for one hungry person. Also ordered some horchata which was very good. Service was okay. If you flagged them down, they d be over in a flash, otherwise were non-existent. I have tried their Chicken Flauta Dinner comes with salad, sour cream, guacamole, rice and beans. Their Cecina steak dinner, comes with Frijoles Charros, and rice. I have also tried their steak tortas which the compliment is the bread is really nice and soft. The best thing I tried from them is their Tacos al pastor with cilantro, onions and pineapple! The lady at the register was very friendly and professional. I ordered the combo number 3 which consisted of 1 taco, 1 tostado and 1 quesadilla with rice and beans.
