Classy, elevated atmosphere, stellar service from our server, Claudia, handling a birthday dinner for a group of 10 with efficiency and friendliness, an impressive assortment of happy hour options, including a Four Roses Old Fashioned for $7.50, and delicious regular menu and specials options for dinner all added up to a wonderful night at Cassis St Pete. Can't wait to enjoy them again!

The only reason I'm making this four stars instead of five is because Service was super slow. Otherwise we had a great experience. Future Christina, you should always get the seafood plateau, it is delicious and also you leave feeling not weighed down. We also split a small Caesar salad, which no longer comes with blue cheese, which is great, and that was enough food for both me and my husband. This time the seafood plateau came with muscles, oysters, fish spread, shrimp cocktail, and crab legs. It also has a ton of toasted bread for the fish spread. I ate the oysters and mussels, and my husband ate most of the shrimp and the crab legs. I love the fish spread so I'm glad it comes with that as well. The one con was it took an hour before we even ordered our food. That was crazy to me. Luckily we had accounted for a lot of time before our show at the Mahaffey, but if we didn't, that would've been exceptionally stressful. I do have to shout out that they're fresh pressed orange juice is absolutely delicious and well worth the eight dollar charge for a small glass (carafe is $14 so get the carafe instead). The grapefruit juice isn't cold pressed in house, but is cold pressed. It is less expensive at around five dollars, I don't think it is as good as the orange juice, but if you like grapefruit juice, it is pretty good. My husband got an old-fashioned and liked it. Overall, I still really enjoy this place, but if you're in a rush, you should probably tell your server so that way you get in and out quicker.

Super cute place for a girls dinner! The filet (medium rare) with the truffle fries was a great combo! The espresso martini seemed to be a popular cocktail for the evening and it came with honey roasted/glazed/ sugar/salted peanuts. Portion for the calamari were smaller than expected but it was still yummy.

Great option for happy hour ! We got $7 margarita and Avocado Hummus, Truffle Fries and happy hours pizzas! Love coming here with my friends to share some drinks and snacks! Outside area is perfect for people watching! Service is always quick here!

    Tiramisu $10 10/10

This place is perfection I LOVE LOVE this place! The tiramisu is the best I've ever had in my whole life! The mascarpone is sweet / dense & I love that only the lady finger cookie is only drenched in rum, not poured all over like most places. It's very moist & not dry. The last time I had Tiramisu in the area was at OLIVIA's restaurant & that was the worst tiramisu I've ever had in my life!!! It was extremely dry & very disturbingly terrible. I'm so thankful Cassis makes the best Tiramisu, will only be getting that at Cassis! Can't wait to come back!

I was able to have Ann as my event manager for my birthday dinner. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. Extremely communicative and able to accommodate all requests. The food came out efficiently and all tasted amazing. We were able to decorate the area and had plenty of seating for all my guests!

My sisters went to dinner here this weekend before going to a music performance. The food was excellent, the server was great and the outdoor seating was fun. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer. It was plenty to share. We each ordered the Roasted Beets Salad but we each had special requests for our salads. Mine was without onions. Another was with the onions and dressing on the side and the last one was with no cheese and no onions. They got all of them correct, which I thought was kind of impressive. The only thing I will say is there was food & a little trash on the ground that I stepped on when walking to the table and under our table. They just needed to sweep that out before seating us. It was great overall.

    Espresso martini with bare nuts

I have been a big fan of Cassis and consistently tout their espresso martinis and mussels to anyone I come across. But during my last visit, I was disappointed on both counts. They have changed the menu and no longer offer the same mussels. Instead, they only offer a traditional white wine broth, and they were not willing or able to accommodate my request for their amazing Modelo dark beer broth version. Then came the espresso martini, which always comes with cocoa/sugar dusted peanuts as a sidecar. This time, the nuts were bare with the cocoa all on the bottom of the cone...so there was something wrong with how they prepared them.

We decided to have brunch at Cassis recently. We didn't have a reservation and decided to sit at the bar. We started with mimosas, then ordered food. Two of us ordered burgers and fries, while the third ordered breakfast food. My friend had specific instructions for her burger (well done, condiments on the side), and when the burger arrived, it was all wrong. The server took it back to be recooked. Twenty minutes later, after the other two of us had completed our meals, her new burger & fries arrived. After questioning, the late delivery burger was comped, but that wouldn't have happened without us speaking up.

Hummus appetizer from happy hour menu - WOW! Everyone at the table couldn't believe this was actually hummus with some saying this by far the best they've ever had and others saying they've never had it before but it looked too good to ignore and they were glad they did! Calamari - worth getting! Dips were also yummy. Greasy but worth ordering Margherita pizza from happy hour - fantastic! Chewy and tasty. Fish and chips - OH. MY. LANTA! This thing was MASSIVE LOL! But tasty fish. And the potatoes were absolutely amazing! No one enjoyed the malt vinegar dip though. Not sure what they were thinking with this one. It had a sweetness to it which is not what you're thinking when you think of fish dip. Ask for ketchup instead. Salmon salad - given all the food the smaller portion was perfect size. And just a heads up that the salmon is "smoked" (not cooked). Enjoyed it though! Creamy and tasty. Overall this was a solid 4 star plus meal. Our server, Jorge, was beyond amazing however!! Super bubbly and attentive. And the people watching and ambiance was also top notch. We will definitely return!!

I love Cassis- I love the food so much. It's pricy, but it's right on Beach Drive so that's to be expected. I went for brunch with my friends and we decided to split the variety of pastries and each get our own main. I got the smoked salmon frittata which was phenomenal. The salmon was fresh and my eggs were divine. The pastries were the hit of teh table though. My personal favorite was the almond croissant. The muffin was the tallest muffin I've ever seen. The cinnamon roll was a huge hit for my friends as well as the cheese danish. Overall, we were all obsessed with the baked goods. Service is hit or miss here, but the food is so worth the gamble.

    Extremely salty wings

Awful service. Sat outside and completely ignored. Had to flag down server multiple times and he never seemed to care or realize. Never cleared plates. The highchair they gave us was disgustingly dirty. Wings were salty and would never get again Steak tartare was overpriced for what it was. I hate complaining but this was a very poor experience - Karen

Sea scallops with potato hash at Cassis
    Jared M.

The pan-seared sea scallops were good although fairly plain. It did not go well with the potato hash which was nothing more than a plate filler to me. I've previously tried their Good Form (4 cheese) pizza which was just average despite the high cost. The french onion soup was so incredibly salty and it fell short. The ambience however is very nice, bright and elegant inside.

There were eleven of us girls dressed in black celebrating a birthday, and we started the night at the bar with drinks and photos before dinner. The staff sat us at the perfect long table, and Andrew and Brian took amazing care of us all evening. We shared the Focaccia Pull Apart -- warm, slightly sweet, cheesy, and honestly addictive. The Burrata with peaches, pickled mustard seeds, and pistachio was bright and fresh, and the beef tartare was another favorite. For dinner, I had the scallops, which were huge and roasted perfectly with citrus, cauliflower, and brown butter. Some of the girls shared the Radiatore alla Vodka, and that sauce was chef's kiss -- flavorful and so satisfying. But let me tell you... The Parmesan Fries with Black Truffle Aioli? I'm going back JUST for those. Cocktails were on point -- the girls loved the Elliott Aster Martini with its citrus kiss, and I had the mezcal espresso martini and the Summer Haze. Both were delicious. Beautiful place, amazing food, incredible night.

There's dedicated parking for the restaurant behind the building in the lot, plus metered street parking and garages within less than a block. The main entrance is on the side of the building, on 5th Street S just off 6th Avenue S. Outdoor seating is available, but I personally wouldn't choose it, sitting right next to a busy intersection with constant traffic and exhaust isn't my idea of enjoyable. That said, the interior ambiance alone is worth the visit. Inspired by the historic George Peabody Library and part of the Oxford Commons Hospitality group, the design is quirky, fun. The thoughtful mix of bookshelves, warm lighting, rich browns and deep blues, and the seamless blend of library, bar, and dining space creates a truly special atmosphere, especially if you love books. We visited as part of a large group for a special occasion dinner. They accommodated us on very short notice after our original plans changed due to possible rain and outside seating only at our first reservation, which was impressive. Our waitress was fantastic, she handled our entire table (and others) by herself with no buss person and still managed every order and individual request with genuine care and efficiency. I haven't tried breakfast, lunch, the morning coffee/pastry take-out window, or the bar yet, but the dinner experience was excellent. Fair warning: this is not a budget-friendly spot. If you're watching every dollar or might resent the food due to prices, it's probably not the place for you. It's ideal for special occasions or when you want to enjoy a meal without worrying about the cost, each dish/cocktail is in line with upscale dining in the area,it does add up quickly with drinks, apps, entrees, and sides, though I read they have happy hour. We ordered appetizers (shared), I also had the opportunity to sip a few cocktails (when offered), I also shared entrees, and sides with some of our group. Everything we tried was very good, there were not stand-outs, all was scrumptious, from the start of appetizers: the warm bread with its delicious butter spread, the roasted cauliflower, the spicy crispy shrimp, the Steak Frites, the perfectly cooked French fries, and the sautéed spinach, all of which I had a taste of personally. The portions looked modest on the plates but were surprisingly filling, many of us had leftovers to take home. We finished with the warm cookie and ice cream, which was hands-down amazing, especially with the perfect touch of flaky salt on top. The cocktails were strong and creative. My first choice (suggested by the waitress) wasn't quite to my taste, it was too tart and strong for me, but she immediately removed it from the bill and happily brought me something else I enjoyed much more. Overall, The Library delivers a memorable experience, amazing ambiance, a beautiful setting, attentive service, and excellent food. Next time I'm trying breakfast.

The restaurant is uniquely decorated with floor-to-ceiling books and those old-world aristocratic portraits that make you feel like you've stepped into a quaint literary hideaway. We were seated in a cozy corner with high-backed cushioned chairs that felt like our own little private nook. Perfect for a special occasion that's kind of low key. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the noise level was surprisingly low, which we really appreciated. It made it easy to relax and enjoy our time without feeling overwhelmed. Service was also great - attentive, friendly, and well-paced despite the crowd. Now, the menu... it was honestly hard to choose because so many items sounded amazing. We ended up ordering the crispy Brussels Sprouts and the warmed Burrata to start. The Brussels Sprouts were flavorful and enjoyable, though I personally would have loved just a bit more char on them for that extra depth. The burrata, on the other hand, was packed with flavor - especially if you're a fan of sun-dried tomatoes, this is definitely a must-try. The drinks were a standout, my lychee martini was light, smooth, and refreshing, while my husband's old fashioned was bold and perfectly crafted. He is quite the stickler for a good old fashioned. For our mains, my husband kept it classic with a bacon cheeseburger and fries, which he really enjoyed. It had that delicious smash burger style that hits the spot. I ordered the Chicken Paillard, and it was absolutely delicious--light, fresh, and full of flavor without feeling heavy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and agreed that we'd definitely come back. There were still so many dishes we were tempted to try, and that's always a great sign. The Library is a unique and memorable spot that's perfect for brunch, date nights, or any special occasion. Give it a try!

It was delicious and so was the mustard it came with. My partner usually doesn't like mustard but he said this one complimented the sausage well. We sat inside by the kitchen so we had the pleasure of seeing all the food look and smelling delicious as it left the kitchen. Outside seating is also available. Everything we ordered was amazing. Only regret was not coming in my actual birthday for the free meal.

We started with the crispy pork belly, which looked a little on the drier side when it arrived but don't let that fool you, the brown sugar bourbon glaze it was dressed in was delicious. Really enjoyed it as a starter. The tavern burger came highly recommended as one of their best dishes, and while it was a good burger, it didn't quite blow us away. Surprisingly mild on flavor despite the toppings, and it's a BIG boy... which I know some people love, but I tend to prefer a smash burger so I'll take partial responsibility for that note! The fries, however, were excellent... textured, crispy, exactly how fries should be. The real standout of the visit was the chilaquiles (the chef's brunch special). It ran a little dry, but the flavors more than made up for it. The combination of crunchy tortilla chips, smoky sauce, pickled onions, egg, avocado, and cilantro all together was just so good... my boyfriend was equally obsessed. Would absolutely order again. Service was great and overall had a really enjoyable visit... Stillwaters continues to deliver a solid experience and I'll keep coming back!

Thank you. We started with their Masa pancakes which gave a thick yet light taste to it. That lemon and blueberry combo was the bomb. The wife has the Tuna Tosadas which were fresh and flavorful! It was so good. I had the Chorizo Verde Tacos which was soooo good that I ate all 3. I ordered a side of home fries but I didn't even need them. Their coffee was amazing too and I forgot where it was from but again ... bomb. We'll def be back in the future and next time get some cocktails!

My sister ordered a pistachio drink and I got the pornstar martini and they both were delicious. Our server Sam was great. To eat we ordered the street corn croquetas, the tuna tostadas, the green chickpea samosas and then the Chipotle Roasted Snapper entree. Our favorites were the street corn croquetas and the Chipotle Roasted Snapper. They both had a perfect mix of flavors. The tuna tostadas were good but we didn't like the Smokey flavor with it. The green chickpea samosas were okay, not great in our opinion. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would come back if I was in the area again.

My mom hadn't eaten all day, so we made the 30-minute drive to St. Pete hoping for a better experience, and it was absolutely worth it. From the moment we arrived, Chris and his team took amazing care of us. The hospitality, attentiveness, and overall atmosphere made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. What could have ended as a ruined Mother's Day became a memorable brunch thanks to the team at Sauvignon. Big shout out to Chris and everyone there for going above and beyond. Excellent service makes all the difference, and we truly appreciated it.

The menu is fairly limited, but their house-made pastas are out of this world! I had one of their specials featuring pasta and airline chicken, which was excellent. My friend ordered another pasta dish, her husband had the fish special and my husband ordered the filet, which was cooked perfectly for him. Portions are on the smaller side, but still very filling. My husband and I each started with a Caesar salad. I forgot to ask for it without anchovies, and they gave the salad a very strong, fishy flavor. If you're not a big anchovy fan like me, I'd recommend ordering it without. Service was excellent for a busy Friday night. Our server was friendly and helped guide us with wine recommendations. He was spot on, and the wines paired beautifully with the meals we chose. Definitely a great spot for a cozy dinner in the heart of Central Ave.
