Multiple times they resurrected my piece of junk ford when it would break with every conceivable problem possible to a car, even when I did not think there was a solution, and they were always fair in their prices, I was never overcharged there, ever. Most recently, they repaired the damage on my Chevy Bolt after I was hit in an accident, and sure enough, they fixed my car , and it looks like its new now. It's true you can actually trust these people. This is my new shop. In 15 years in the county, I have not found another shop like this around. I had a very difficult situation recently where my car died while driving. I thought it was spark plugs I had to get my car towed someplace on a Friday who could look at it immediately diagnose it and start working over the weekend. I had several critical drives coming up. I talked to a dozen auto shops in Bethesda in Rockville. Nobody could do it. They were the only ones Natalia is absolutely amazing. at noon, She guaranteed she could help navigate the tow to their shop, schedule in somebody to look at it in their busy afternoon, and have a diagnosis and estimate to me by the end of the day. By 330 they had gone through it and called me and let me know that my timing belt had snapped in my engine was done. We talked through all of our options. She was patient and helpful. By 430 Natalia was able to find me a used engine that was cheaper and better than anything I could find at that point. They were able to squeeze in my repair in their already full schedule, and I had my car back Wednesday, with a bunch of new stuff they had also replaced on the used engine, including a new belt. A week later I stopped by unscheduled on a Saturday with a question, and this guy who was deep in a project under a hood took a quick look at my car and listened to it ... and then said hey do you have a little time ? I can take a break from that other car for a bit and plug in the computer to yours and run some diagnostics .. and then we spent a while checking some things off a list that I was worried about , he spent gracious time explaining and showing the air intake monitor graphs on how my internal car computer was calibrating to any differences in how the engine performs at different speeds and RPMs and stuff ... Just because he was a really nice helpful guy who saw me just replace my engine there and come pick it up with my daughter. Oh also Natalia was super nice and friendly and warm and welcoming to my daughter as well. I love this place. and for real, go there, this is only like the third review I've ever written, I only do it when a place not only should get recognized, but also when it's really a good value for people around close by who might not have any idea and just should know this great shop is right there. read more

They did a crap job repairing my vehicle. It took them +2 months to do this crap job. Lie after lie after lie. I should have known better from the start when it took weeks to deliver the quote. Car is still not right and I have zero expectation of these guys making it right. Learn from my mistake, avoid the slick talking and take your car elsewhere. read more

I just bought this 2018 Honda Accord Sport for 3 weeks and someone broke into my car, smash my front passenger window and stoled my rims. All four. I brought it to my Honda dealership, they said it's going to take 2-3 days. But turnout it's longer than that. After 2 weeks they called me and said they have put back the wheels in but it's going to take another week to order my window. So I decided go to another dealer. And I've tried called 4 dealerships at DMV. But no one have this window in stock, they have the same answer, that they need to order it for 2-3 weeks. But there's this glass company called Safelite, they promised me they will bring the glass and fix it at my apartment for $660. Again they also called me on the appointment day and told me that they need to order the glass. So I cancelled on them. I tried called Montrose Garage and Sam able to order the windows for 4 days for only $360 (part+labor). He was nice, he answered all my questions and he keep his promise. So don't go to your dealership, they just gonna rip you off. Go to Montrose Garage. Thanks Sam for fixing my car. I'm sure will be back if I need anything. read more

Sam and his team saved the day (night)! As I was leaving my office at 6:30 pm, the battery light in my car came on and the Honda manual said to drive to the nearest service station, as the battery may last only a couple of miles! All of the worst-case scenarios flooded my mind as I realized I had 5% battery left on my phone, it was starting to get dark, all of my co-workers had left for the day, the service station I normally use had closed for the evening (as well as most in the area), and I live 40 miles from my office. I did a quick Google search desperate to find any repair shops that might be open at such a late hour. Lo and behold, Montrose Garage was open until 7 pm! Sam answered right away, said I could come by, suggested that the issue was the battery or alternator, and said he could get a part (if needed), and get my car fixed that night! UNBELIEVABLE! Once I arrived, Sam greeted me at the door and got right to work. The diagnosis was a dead alternator. Sam immediately went into "mission" mode and visited a couple of stores to find the part. Once he returned he had my car ready to go within 15 minutes (the mechanics had been working on my car while he was away)! I was in a dire situation, so this was the perfect opportunity to be taken advantage of. I didn't even ask for an estimate when I got there since I didn't have much of a choice. Alternator replacement parts and labor can run $500 minimum, so I was elated at the $317 price tag! He purchased a refurbished part and could have totally charged me full price. I wouldn't have known the difference. Also, as a woman being in a repair shop after hours with only guys around, I felt totally safe. Everyone was super professional! Sam was so kind, respectful, and genuine. I also witnessed him treating his employees well; they seem like family. It was overall a refreshing experience! I'm now sitting in my comfy home, feeling stress free and grateful! Tonight's events could have resulted in a much different outcome, but it turned out to be the best-case scenario, due to Sam and his team's willingness to go the extra mile! read more

Montrose Garage did an excellent job! From the start, the communication with with office manager was excellent. They provided a timely quote and were quick to respond to all of my questions over email. They were willing to look at pictures of the damage and give me a ball-park rough cost estimate before I brought my car in which I really appreciated. The garage staff were very nice and understanding of the work that needed to be done. My car was clean and washed when I came to pick it up. The repair and paint work was seamless and it looks brand new again. I am so happy and so is my car! Highly recommend. read more

Sam and Gino are miracle workers. They got my notoriously quirky antique car working and found a rare part that I was told couldn't be obtained. I found them through the AAA tow driver who I had called multiple times because the car wouldn't start, despite having a well-respected mechanic work it. I was able to get top dollar when I sold the car largely because of their efforts. Plus, as the other reviews say, they are the friendliest garage around. Great service, great price. They fixed it right the first time and didn't try to "fix" things that weren't broken. They came in on Sunday so I could drop it off on my time. On top of that, they offered to pick me up and drop me off so I wouldn't have to bug a friend. Definitely where I'm taking my car the next time I have trouble. Highly recommended! read more
