i have used miller paint for yrs, since 1977, and recently again this morning at this n. interstate store a couple of times, once during covid, and today.....i walked in with my old can of paint hoping to get another gallon of it for touch up project on the exterior of the house....kristin immediately got it going, and was so friendly.......the other 2 staff were friendly too.....when done, the paint matched the old can, and i bought a couple of other items too....i noticed while waiting that they sell metro paint....i thought you could only get it at metro....that's a nice bonus...................you guys are great, thx so much..... read more

Walked in needing a paint match of off-white 25 mins before closing. After fumbling around for 5 mins the employee says "Sorry we can't match it before closing at 3PM, they can take 30 min to 6 hours to do". Drove 5 mins down the street to Sherwood Williams, they were able to match my sample and was out the door before 3PM with a gallon. read more

The husband and I spent the summer painting our interior, with constant trips to and from Miller Paint. I like that Miller Paint is employee owned, and it shows! Employees have been there forever and are incredibly knowledgeable. Outside of the one stoner dude that works there....there's always one though isn't there? The shining star of this location is Jeff. I might be getting his name wrong but you'll know it's him because he wears a festive vest over his uniform. He is the paint MASTER! Previous to meeting Jeff, I had no idea there were paint nerds. Jeff, is a paint nerd, and I say this in the more endearing way possible, he knows everything there is to know about paint and is ready to help you with all your painting decisions. I suggest bringing a picture to show him and let him work his magic. I really can't express enough how helpful he was in our process. TALK TO JEFF (vest guy!) Disclaimer - the weekends are a shit show. Don't come in a hurry. You will wait, possibly a long time. There will be some entitled a-hole that says "I just need a gallon of paint" as if everyone in there doesn't just need some paint. COME ON! Have you never been in a line before?! I suggest trying to plan your trips during the week or in the evenings. That's the best time to get the full attention from the staff and pick their brains about your project. They sell metro paint - which is highly economical and made from recycled paint. There is only a few color options but if you need something simple and cheap this is a good option. We used all Miller Paint brand and are very happy with it, not that I know crap about paint just that it looks nice and we didn't get dizzy while we painted. I was raised to only buy Miller paint. In my 20's, I played the field a bit- convinced that I could find something cheaper and better at a big box store. Now a home owner, I have come to realize that Grandpa was right. So, I was excited to see Miller Paint open their Alberta location. I have had mixed experiences-- most of their staff is incredibly knowledgeable-- but there have been a couple of tweakers. Still, wouldn't go anywhere else for paint or paint supplies. I'm soooo happy that a woman was finally hired here and she is so patient and excellent at her job. I've had too many "mansplainy" experiences here previously and Sheila is just what the doctor ordered. It was about 1PM on Saturday April 30th when I came into this Miller Paint. Immediately my attention was drawn to a customer giving the young man who I would later know as Chris a hard time. He insisted to see the manager/supervisor. That's when Jeff(I believe his name was Jeff, he had a snappy vest on) went up to help him. Chris came over and helped me out. While I was being checked out, the angry customer, who's name was Albert, continued to berate and belittle the employees. The entire time Chris and Jeff treated him with the utmost professional courtesy. When I asked the guy to calm down and to please stop treating the Miller employees like they were less than human he postured up to me and called me a MotherF***r and a Douchebag and asked me "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT." Again Jeff and Chris kept their calm and were as professional above and beyond the requirements of both civility and their job. They managed to not only juggle this asshole but found time to make sure I had a satisfying experience as well. I have a fair guess that this guy is going to contact the manager of this store, or leave a review or the like. It is my hope that this statement will counteract anything negative he has to say about the awesome people at Miller on Alberta. read more

As I slowly make my way through repainting my entire home interior, and I'm glad I started at Miller Paint. The staff is knowledgeable, and they have a decorator available for consultations on Saturdays if you sign up in advance (Julie Nolta when we went at this location). This was a godsend for two people who know nothing about interior design but still manage to disagree on color choices. You might have to wait in line a bit, but once you make it through, you have the staff's full attention. Perhaps there's a reason there's a line. read more

I love this store! I've never written any kind of online review for a business before, but I had such a good experience here I wanted to give them their propers. I'm starting a painting project and don't know much at all about paint. Shopping paint online, I was completely overwhelmed by all the options. "What the hell do these words even mean?!?" I asked myself repeatedly as product descriptions extolled the virtues of various finishes and chemical compositions of interior paint. The thought of actually going into a paint store terrified me, conjuring up images of tobacco-chewing straight guys in overalls pointing and laughing. The friendly and knowledgeable staff at Miller Paints Alberta explained it all to me in layman's terms without making me feel like a dumbass, and didn't try to sell me the most expensive everything, even though I was totally at their mercy due to being clueless. Great products, great customer service, and good prices. We have purchased indoor and outdoor paint, deck stain, brushes and tools, and rented pressure washers. We have been happy every time. The folks that work here are nice, their advice has been spot on, and they have negotiated prices when it makes sense to do so. I come here often and when another location told me that I would have to wait a full day to pick up my paint order, I hopped in the car and drove here and had my order in less than 15 minutes. The color was a perfect match. They've always been able to give me a perfect match! I bring a sample and I can't even tell the original paint from the new mix. This is invaluable because I can actually do touch ups rather than have to repaint an entire surface. They always have a sense of casual humor and it just feels good to shop here. We had an awesome experience with Nadine at Miller Paint! We realized it was a long shot, but were hoping to get a paint to match the color of our existing cabinets. We brought a sample in and not only did she end up matching the color perfectly, but she had lots of tips for doing successful touch ups. We ended up having lots of questions about other projects that we're working on, and she was a wealth of info! I was really impressed with how much time and attention the staff there gave everyone. I consistently have outstanding customer service at Miller Paint and my latest request was no exception. Staff were incredibly responsive to help me zoom in on what I needed, gave me formula specific statistics on how well my touch up paint would match the current coat, and mixed up a large batch at no extra price when the smaller was not available.
