Literally $2,000 less than the competitor. They came in and sealed up the house so there would be no new rats. They put down traps and we've caught one rat and five mice so far. We no longer hear the scratching and clawing above our heads throughout the night. They do not offer the lifetime warranty like some competitors, but the job they do seem to fix any future problems so it's not worth paying $2,000 for that. My only opportunity to improve the service would be a more thorough cleanup of any red droppings. They did a pretty good job, but The services the other company offered would have done a better job I think. I am now a repeat customer of Rodents Stop. This new case involves my own home. I consider myself tidy and takes matters proactively. I thought I covered all angles and never thought that I will ever have have a rodent problem at my own home, however, it did. By the time I noticed it. One of my laundry machine hoses got chewed up and went out of order. In just 24 hours thereafter, the other one sustained similar problem. I then immediately called Joey (one of the principal) at Rodents Stop and he was so kind to extend a priority service to inspect my property the next day. After the inspection and agreeing with the cost, Joey schedule the cleanup, proofing and treatment within 2 days which was all good. Unfortunately, there's another mishaps within 24 hours after Joey's inspection. This time, the rodent damaged my new vehicle that was parked in the garage. The rat chewed some wiring ad several critical hoses which cost me quite a bit. What I learned from all of this is to never wait until you have an infestation. So, to answer to your response Zeev: I never said you tried to bait and switch me. Your representative just tried to rip me off from the get go! True, I called you for an assessment, but your representative didn't conduct a thorough investigation. She came with her own hidden agenda to try and scare me in to signing up for a very expensive service! She said there are new dropping, and that the rats are going to reproduce very quickly and damage my entire home! This from approximately 2 minutes she spent in my attic. We are very very very displeased with this service. I am hoping to change my review and hoping things get better as we are currently working with them. They guarantee (when you agree to pay them 19K) that they will be there every 3-5 days to re set traps and clean up any rodents. It's been 11 days from one appointment to the next because they say they are unavailable. The only reason we have caught any rodents is because my husband and I went on Amazon bought a bunch of traps and pretty much line our entire house with them every night. The inspector from Rodent Stop was friendly and did a fairly thorough job of finding the entry points of the rodents (although he ignored the cluttered garage which turned out to contain an open path for the rats). Heather from the time you got on the phone you were nasty, you may had been tired or whatever the case may be but you were downright rude. I don't talk to my children or my pets the way you were speaking to me this morning. My tone changed from pleasant to stern when I seen you were continuously cutting me off as I was speaking as well as talking to me the way you were. There's no need to go back and forth or as you stated, "You weren't going to go back and forth with me!" I will post what I received from Steve. My receipt was generic because I asked for one to be written for my mother since her card was being charged the $500.00 deposit and services would start early this morning. If anything I should have had Steve write out a more detailed receipt. I didn't for two reasons it was extremely hot and since the contract was being sent to me I didn't want Steve to double work. Shame on me for trusting a charismatic and nice salesman. As stated what he told me and showed me in the brochure that I am attaching was different then what was in the contract and what you were telling me this morning. Yesterday Steve came to my mother's home and quoted us $4,875 (& gave a senior citizen discount of $300 leaving a price of $4,575) for what was call proofing service. He handed us a brochure and gave us the same information other exterminators had given us. In the brochure you see the process of the attic being cleaned out and new insulation begin laid. We were given a written receipt for the total amount of the job, the breakdown of payments and the deposit my mother had to pay to assure service would be conducted. I hadn't received a formal contract breaking down what Steve told us would take place, therefore I called him. When I received the contract it was after business hours. I tried calling because when I made my initial appointment it was the Labor Day holiday, therefore I thought they may of had special hours. They didn't so I sent an email explaining there was a discrepancy between what was told to us and what was in writing. I received a call from the crew and I asked him if they would be laying insulation and I was told the order didn't call for that. Mario was very professional and nice as well. He came to my door and handed me his cell phone and I started to speak to Heather. From the time I got on the phone with Heather she was rude! I don't know if it was because it was 7:30 a.m. in the morning or if it was because as Heather stated, "She was in the bed next to her husband" that she was rude, unprofessional and nasty. After going back and forth with this lady and hearing a male voice in the background telling her to refund me my $500 deposit, I told her she needed to provide me with a reference number for the refund. I was told she doesn't give reference numbers. I was told I needed some kind of proof she was returning the money, by this time it's 7:47 a.m. and I asked her for a direct phone number to follow up with her. I informed her I called the main number listed and press 3, but received her voicemail. She proceeded to tell me 3 was her direct number without giving me a number (it's a good thing I'm one of the smart cookies in the pack). This is when she proceeded to tell me she was in the bed next to her husband and I asked her, " if you start at 8 a.m. but you're in the bed next to your husband are you telling me I will have my receipt in 13 mins?" I work from home and understand it is possible, but the issues I have are the contradiction between what the brochure and the sales rep told me and Heather's nasty demeanor! I wasn't quoted different packages as Heather was telling me they had. I wasn't told the insulated would be $2.50 per square foot. She told me about pictures she was looking at and I told her Steve didn't even completely go into the attic like the other people did. Now she's telling me we didn't need all the work based on the pictures. If this is the case why charge us this enormous high ridiculous cost? As of 8:13 I received a receipt, but I will be making a complaint with the BBB as well. We had been battling a massive rodent problem for over 2 years. Massive! We had rats everywhere, they had eaten through my dishwasher twice, my fridge, more clothing than I can keep track of. We were fighting a losing battle. I paid another company $3000 and all they did was spend 10 minutes spraying gapfiller, then left a trap (ONE trap) in my attic. This company is great! They did what they said they were going to do and got rid of the rats without tenting the house and using poisons. They were professional and explained what their services entailed. I would recommend them to anyone having rodent issues. I had a guarantee that the price I paid would be top notch. The sales man was at my house at 201 no lie. 12-2 was the appointment. I paid the 3500 that was quoted. Today Saturday April 27 the workers showed up at 8 am with a 20 min heads up. My roommate answered the door and they asked her if she wanted them to start inside or outside. She said outside since she had to get ready for work. She said they came in 5 min later and got to work. She was like whatever. When I got home at 11 there were two young men I asked who the boss was and neither of them could answer me saying no English. I got my neighbor and they told him 1 pm. The boss showed up at 115 ish and I had already poked my head in the attic. And right away I could see rat feces the top of my heater still covered in fur and urine and some feces. So they went up again. Not without the boss obviously upset with slight sarcasm in his voice. They went to lunch and returned around 230 they went back up in the attic not laying down plastic or paper. They were up there for another 1:30 taking down what they should have in the first place. When they say they are done the boss comes back and tells me to go up and take a look. Right away there is still feces I crawl the whole attic taking pictures of feces and insulation still in the attic and a big smell of urine on the back side or the heater. Mind you they wear masked and have protective clothing on. And I didn't !!! What if I was elderly or disabled or has asthma, I'd have to take there word that it was taken care of. My house already wasn't sectioned off on the main floor. But now I'm covered in attic dust whatever that is. But I'm sure it's all through my house. I had been hearing noises in the attic, walls and basement for a while. I finally decided to do something about it. I did some research on-line to see what my options were. I didn't just want to lay traps over and over again. I have an older home and it is full of ways mice and rats could make it inside. I came across Rodents Stop. I called them and Joey came out to give me an estimate a day later. When he walked in to my home he said he could smell rodents. I was skeptical but he really knew his trade. After he calculated the square footage of the main floor, basement and attic he provided me a quote. The quote included a team to seal any entry point going into my home as well as follow-up visits. The service also includes a lifetime warranty...even if I sell my home. I also decided to have them insulate the attic since I did not have any to begin with. The team came at 7am and spent the day removing nests, disinfecting the attic and basement and blocking holes with screening, wood and wallboard. Took the entire day. These guys worked hard.
