We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening after our number 1 choice was too busy. Rodeo Goat is reliable and everyone in the family likes it, so it was not a bad Plan B. I had the Hot Bastard for the first time and really liked it. There is a good amount of heat from the habanero cheese and Fresno chilis, but it is not overwhelming and not scorching hot to the extent it is unpleasant. Instead, you feel the heat but it is pleasant and flavorful. I wish they served burgers medium instead of medium well. The wife had a salad, the avocado salad, and loved it. Very good quality and tasty. The kid had kid sliders and there were two problems. One, she asked for no cheese but it came with cheese, and thus a struggle ensued getting her to eat the "gross" cheese. Second, she asked for Sprite, no ice, but it came with ice. Small things for sure, but in the world a kid, these are cataclysmic. These are kitchen glitches. Our server, Cecelie, was friendly, gracious, and helpful. Rude Management Does Not Care About Customers On Monday, May 25, 2026, I received an email from Rodeo Goat saying, "We miss you at Rodeo Goat!" and offering free Goat Balls within the next seven days, with no additional restrictions listed. Based on that offer, my wife, a neighbor, and I visited the Casa Linda location on May 27 for lunch. We ordered burgers, fries, drinks, and showed our waitress the email before requesting the complimentary Goat Balls. After our meal, the waitress informed us that the promotion code would not work. She checked with the manager, Adam Goodchild, who said the offer had already been redeemed. I explained that I had only received the email two days earlier and had not used the offer. When I spoke with Adam directly, he repeatedly stated that his system showed the offer had already been used and insisted the system was correct. Since we had not redeemed the offer, I felt he was implying that I was being dishonest. I requested his name and corporate contact information. When he returned with only his business card and an email address, I suggested the issue could be resolved simply by honoring the promotion. He responded that I was just upset and had not given him a chance to help, yet he never offered to provide the Goat Balls or any other solution. Despite my explaining that we were long-time customers who had earned six or seven $25 rewards through the loyalty program over the years, he remained unwilling to address the situation. I ultimately told him we would not be returning, and he simply said goodbye and walked away. Ironically, we earned another $25 reward during that visit. We have brought family and friends to Rodeo Goat for years and only chose to dine there that day because of the promotional email. While the missing Goat Balls were a minor issue, the manager's dismissive attitude and unwillingness to resolve a clear problem were extremely disappointing. We have been loyal customers because we enjoy Rodeo Goat's food, but there are many excellent burger restaurants in Dallas, so we have plenty of options. And although the restaurant displays a sign that says, "If something is not right, tell us now," it appears to be little more than a meaningless sign. Based on the manager's actions, it was clear that they do not actually care about customer service and customer satisfaction. We ordered two "bowls" of chili at $10 each to go and what we found when we got home was a complete rip-off. One container was barely half-full, and the other wasn't much better. I love that I can come get a vegan patty, impossible burger or a turkey burger if I don't want beef. Our server Travis was lovely and very attentive, great service. The ambiance isn't like the other locations I've eaten at. This one used to be a cafeteria style place and they completely change it and gave it the rodeo motif but the former customers of the former spot are still very much here. I started off the evening with a Fainting Goat which is Revolver Blood & Honey with vodka and orange liqueur, the manu states that there is a two drink minimum on these, I didn't find that it was very strong at all but the flavor was still great. My heart had been set on having a really good burger but when we saw a waitress walk by with an order of cheese fries for another table, we were suckered in and I'm not mad about it at all. We got the half order of cheese fries, the fries were crispy and it is loaded with bacon bits and pickled jalapenos slices. The fries are nice and hot and have a creamy texture on the inside, but I do prefer them to have been twice fried so that they would have a crispier exterior. The cheese fries were delicious and even though we split a half order, they were super filling so we ended up skipping the burger all together even though most of them on the menu sounded absolutely delicious. We ended up going straight for dessert. I got the pumpkin spice goat balls since they are seasonal items, biscuit dough wrapped around sweetened brie cheese that is deep fried into crispy pillows of absolutely deliciousness and coated and cinnamon sugar. They are served typing hot while the cheese inside is super milky ingredients. They are accompanied with a pumpkin spice mascarpone or whipped cream cheese that melts into it and is absolutely everything you're fall dreams are made of. I had the Blue Goat with added bacon. It was cooked to perfection and huge. Strong blue cheese taste and a bun that holds up to the moist contents. I will, however, pass on the bacon I added. It seemed to disappear amidst the other bold flavors. My friend had the Lakewood CC, your standard burger and she loved it having to finish it with knife and fork. I appreciate that our server mentioned that the fries (sweet potato) were generous enough to share. The side of ranch was a nice addition. Being adventurous I added the Goat Chips - in house potato chips. Again with a side of ranch. Again, a generous portion. Next time I'll order one or the other. I think our family is here at least once a week!! Ever since a surgery has left me on crutches my husband is in charge of cooking and Rodeo Goat gives him a nice break.
