haven't been here in quite a while. Was not really all that satisfied with our meal. OK burger, onion rings that were underdone and tasted like raw flour. Bologna sandwich was ordered with lettuce tomato and mayonnaise. Nothing else. A bologna sandwich with tomato and mustard, no lettuce and cheese glued to the bun. I do applaud management for removing the bologna sandwich from our tab. very nice attentive server. read more

Since Loon was a 5 min walk, we decided to have dinner on a Wednesday night and we were definitely pleased. We were immediately greeted by Brandon. He was personable and quick to offer drinks and suggestions for food. I will say that their menu has a little something for everyone! The prices are reasonable and sizes are plentiful. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc and the bartender was generous with the pour! My gf ordered an Old Fashioned and it solid! For dinner, we ordered Hot Lemon Pepper Wings, cheesy tots and Chicken Franseca. The wings had more spice than lemon pepper but they were still very tasty and fried well! Tots.. how can you go wrong lol..delish! The chicken breast for the Franseca was fried perfectly laid over a bed of Fettuccine. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was garlicky and creamy. At first glance, it looks like a decent dive bar, but after seating ourselves as the sign suggested. We waited for 10 minutes before I had to get my own menu. Then ordered a Kentucky mule and they had never heard of it. So I ordered a bourbon neat. Once we got the waitress's we ordered nachos. They took 25 mins to bring them out and as you can see from the photo, it was store bought tortilla chips, store bought shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and pickled jalapeño. March 25, 2024 myself and a few friends came to this establishment to have an evening out with food and drinks. It was raining and we went inside to stay dry and wait for a table to come available. A waiter came by and informed us to stand by the door and Trivia will be ending soon so that we could grab a seat. shortly after the manager a short lady with the bob came over to us being very nasty and rude, she stated I need yall to go outside because it's to crowded, mean while their was no one in the door other than just us and standing to the side. so I made the statement is their a reason your asking is to go outside in a rude way, she proceeds to smack her lips and roll her eyes and open the door starting at us like you need to move right now. I again ignored her she was being very rude with her delivery and I again asked her is this your way of asking us can we step outside, she stated whatever and mumbled something. I had to tell her again that she was being very nasty and rude and she tries to switch up to being nice after she sees other people noticing her behavior. I will never step another foot into this place to be treated nasty and expect my to spend me money for unwanted treatment. do not go here as a black person if you don't want to experience the racist treatment by the owner the short white lady with the bob. read more

A sports bar, but it's easy to tune that out if you're not into it. The menu offers something for almost everyone. The salmon is incredible...the sandwiches are also a good choice. The Loon continues to be a diamond in the rough in uptown. Largely Italian menu in a 'hole in the wall' atmosphere, reminds me of pubs in New England. I remember this place from two locations ago, from when I used to work in uptown. (The current location used to be Patrizio's pizza). It was a value leader then, and continues to be today. Staff is nice and friendly. Service was a little slow during the cowboys game on a Sunday, but I can excuse that, due to the game.
