Hardly any customers but while sitting waiting on my beer I see our waitress sweeping and picking up trash, glad she wasn't handling any more food for us, all the while my beer set on bar getting warmer and warmer. Finally got it myself. As far as their policy of charging $1.00 to your tab for Ukraine without asking first, I didn't mind when added to entire bill, but when adding it to a single can of beer, said beer goes from an already high price of $5 to $6 each time. Good beer selection with nice beer "cocktails" (beer + vodka) with a nice kick to it. Cheese fries (with surprise) were fantastic--usually when they smother fries with stuff like this they become soggy, but whatever they do to the fries keeps them nice and crispy. Burger was excellent, melts in your mouth and the toppings are well-cooked. Oftentimes the bacon in burgers is an afterthought. but here it was cooked to the same standard to fresh breakfast bacon. The burger meat was clearly a nice blend that elevates it above fast food level, while also differentiating itself from the typical "gourmet" burger. A bit of a surprise for me since judging by the menu it seemed like their main selling point is the unique toppings, but no, the burger itself is very good. read more

Just yelped a place to eat and this looked interesting. We went in and sat. They took out drink order and brought us our drinks promptly. Then we sat for 40 minutes before we finally called for the manager, James. HOWEVER, he was flabbergasted that we weren't being served and offered to comp the WHOLE meal if we chose to stay and order. He then went through the WHOLE menu describing his top picks. We took his advice and ordered. And it WAS good! Thus, we do recommend this joint even though some waiter dropped the ball and we fell through the cracks during shift change or something. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I am visiting from out of town and always make a point to come here when I visit. What sold me was their Moontang, which is $3 on Mondays, but they're food is also delicious. After being in the Dallas are for about a week and being mostly vegan, I had a really hard time finding good food to eat but the burger I had here I really enjoyed. It wasn't lathered in cheese or super deep fried like most places around. Has a great atmosphere too, they have swings to sit on while you eat and both locations have great views. Good lordy, this place sucks. How do I know it sucks? Probably because you get no service whatsoever. My boyfriend and I walked in after a movie on a Thursday afternoon, think 2ish, and we weren't greeted. Someone did tell us to go the patio to sit wherever we wanted to sit so we did. Got some menus so we sat down. After 20 minutes of waiting which by the way, we made eye contact with all the servers that were tending to their tables, but no one cared for us. Even the the people that came after us got drinks and placed their orders. So i don't know what we did that made it to where nobody came to us even after waiting 20 minutes. OK how is it possible to not ever go to eat at rodeo goat? I have a friend who invited me over this past weekend to go get some burgers at rodeo. He confesses to me that he has never eaten at a rodeo. shocking, right? This is really not a review about rodeo go because I think most people have gone to a rodeo goat and enjoy every single thing on there for the most part. They got a tremendous amount of options when it comes to burgers. They are very creative. I usually just stick to the classic cheeseburger because I don't like a lot of other things interrupting the flavor of the beef. The loaded fries are a must. And the selection of beer is really really what sets it apart from a lot of other burger places I guess in my opinion. And they got quite a selection of spirits if you want. This location has the added benefit of being located at the harbor of Rockwall. So during the spring and early summer when it's not too hot, the views are amazing to hang out with friends. Enjoy a beer and a couple of burgers or vice versa. For some strange reason I always happen to feel like it's really cold inside there. I would have to wear a beanie or a hoodie lol. Maybe it's just to keep the beef a little colder since I believe they grind their own beef to make the burgers. At least that's what I remember from the Fort Worth location when It first opened up. Seldom do I take the time to write reviews of restaurants, but this experience was such that I wanted to take the time to help inform others, so that they avoid the inexcusable treatment we experienced this evening. First, the sequence of events: We had a table of 6 and were eating outside. After waiting for over 10 minutes before our waiter even showed up to our table, he took our drink and appetizer orders. Several minutes later, we got our drinks (he forgot to put one of our beers in a glass as requested). No sign of our appetizer - he said he'd check on it. After waiting for over 30 minutes and seeing other tables getting more rapid service than us, and multiple inquiries as to where it was, we finally got our single appetizer. Our waiter gave us the standard "cop-out" excuse that the delay was due to the kitchen being behind. I guess the kitchen being behind also accounts for the fact that, unlike the other tables, we also weren't offered or given small appetizer plates, either. After waiting another 30 minutes, we were told that our dinners (all burgers, by the way) would still be about 10 more minutes. We had now been there for an hour - no meal. And our waiter now seemed apprehensive to approach our table, as our group frustration was growing more and more obvious by the minute. Twelve minutes later, as I was suggesting that we just leave, one of us asked someone else working there to see the manager - that person actually was the manager. She expressed basic apologies for the delay and then explained that this was our waiter's "second shift". She said she'd check on our food immediately, and within 2 minutes, our food arrived. We then ate, paid, and left, all with little more than basic apologies. Lastly, there were no attempts to make amends or try & remedy the situation (ie offer to discount the bill, give coupons for our next visit, etc.) So, in summation, we waited for over 30 minutes for our appetizer (singular, not plural), waited over an hour to get our burgers, at a restaurant where burgers comprise the vast majority of the menu, were given conflicting excuses for the lack of adequate service (meaning they can't be trusted), and nothing was done to try & make amends (meaning they don't care about their customers). And this was for a table of six and a $100 tab. As a result of this disgraceful customer service, not only will we never revisit this restaurant, I am issuing this as both a fair warning and a plea to anyone reading this to get your drinks and burgers elsewhere. Rockwall is replete with comparable and superior places that sell burgers and drinks, and none of them are likely to have as poor of service as Rodeo Goat. And if the Harbor is where you wish to eat, Dodie's and Gloria's are much better, and cheaper, and have never failed so abysmally at basic customer service. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Very disappointed! My son was celebrating his friends 22 bday so we had 5 people in our group. We arrived at 10:02pm and was told that the kitchen closes at 10p but the bar was open to til 11pm. This place is legit. Food, service and atmosphere were great. We sat outside with this awesome view of the lake. The table we got had porch swings for seats. So we got to swing as we waited for our food. What a great idea. We started with the chips, salsa and queso. Very good. Our burgers were cooked correctly and the toppings were fresh and tasty. We shared a side of fries, which again were excellent. We finished off our meal with a shake and we were on our way. BTW, they have valet parking. It costs, but well worth it. Great place. Exotic noisey rodeo themed rugged place with great drinks and good hamburgers, most likely with a wait line. Exotic burgers are their thing. They do validate if you want to use the valet parking, during rush periods parking is a major issue until after 8:00 PM and probably earlier in the day. Great service once you are seated, we had Emily! Great job!! They have text message wait list. No call ahead and no reservations. The one hole in their seating strategy is that if someone says they will sit outside on the patio to eat, they then go out onto the patio eating area and wait a few minutes and then come inside and tell them they don't like it and THEN they are seated ASAP. A major problem and the process is a bit chaotic. They said 45 minute wait and we only waited about 25 minutes. Very good! They do NOT waterdown their drinks, enjoy! Finally a place where you can get a decent deal on a cocktail! They have a HUGE beer selection for those who like beer. The fainting goat drink must be a WHOPPER, limit of 2 drinks. We didn't try it... The goat balls desert are great. Battered fried goat cheese, with powdered sugar dusting and blackberry compote, Excellent! They use paper straws and take home boxes for the politically correct! The patio seating causes inside environment eating issues, it is warm and humid indoors and we noticed one fly and a few gnats. NBD. Appetizer:"steaming pile": Jalapeño tater tots, with bacon, cheese, goat cheese and fried egg with noticeable garlic taste. The smell was kind of strong and might bowl you over, but they have a dipping sauce that once you dip the tater tot in the sauce it is very good. Salted Sow: Prosciutto, beefsteak tomato ,basil, mozzarella, balsamic mayo, cooked only one way well done. It is a beef and Italian sausage patty combined so they and you can really taste the italian sausage. It is what it is, if you like Italian sausage then you won't be disappointed. Only served well done because of the Italian sausage (pork). DCC Cheeseburger: A good common cheeseburger for the purist in you, we asked for medium rare, it came out medium, above average but not great. Hand punched fries: Average fries, maybe a bit below average. Noise level: Over the top! It goes to 11! read more

We were in on Sunday with my boyfriend's family for a quick lunch before we headed back home to San Antonio. Our party arrived in waves, which I know can be irritating/confusing on a busy Sunday afternoon. I'm a server and bartender myself and have been in the industry 10 years now. We sat outside and our waitress was so patient with us and kind... until she stopped showing up. I assured my boyfriend's family that it's normal to forget about a table outside when you have a section inside as well, and I'm sure she'll be back. Wellll she never came back look, i 100% understand forgetting about a table. It's not the end of the world, just own up to it and we literally don't care! We are allll human. so I went to the bar inside to ask for refills and received help from one of the bartenders, she is the reason we are leaving 5 stars, and the whole reason for this review. She had short blonde hair and if I'm remembering correct her name was Adra... she was SO patient with us and got us everything we needed. Don't go here for a serious conversation. It is very loud! The cheese fries were not very good. The cheese was kind of burned. I had the Ranch burger and it was good. My husband had the American Royale. The meat was very juicy and tasty. The jalepeno bacon on the American Royale was delicious. It's definitely worth a try. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by a burger place called Rodeo Goat. I did feel that the burgers were a little pricy since the sides are extra on top of the price of the burger but it was a good flavorful burger! I definitely appreciated the flavor combinations that they put together and the spin that they put on the traditional burger joint. The steaming pile sounded amazing and our waitress led us to believe it was a large shareable portion but it was not. Disappointed in the size, it was like warm and the egg whites were slightly undercooked. Disappointing side for $7 when it had so much potential. I definitely would have loved to have experienced eating outside on one of the picnic table swings but we took what we could get and ate inside.
