I was a little concerned when I booked a roadside hotel, but it completely exceeded my expectations. I travel for work every other week and typically stay at Hilton and Marriott properties, so I have high standards when it comes to hotels. This one was right up there with them in terms of cleanliness. The rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the entire property was very well maintained. Whoever takes care of the landscaping deserves recognition--the grounds were beautiful. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated having coffee available in the morning. This isn't a destination resort--it's the kind of place you stay during a road trip. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, well-kept hotel with excellent staff, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We also tried the Mexican restaurant the hotel recommended, and everyone in our group really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a great stop and an excellent value. read more

First off, the room smelled like a wet dog. Plus there were dogs in rooms next to mine that barked a lot. The room thermostat was under the sink which I had a hard time reaching. Then the TV didn't work. But it was next to a Chinese restaurant which had good food. But the smell of the room was the worse thing. Couldn't take a shower in my room because the bathtub faucet pin was broken. So the water wouldn't divert from tub to shower. The front desk sent a repairman who agreed that it was broken, but told me to shove my hand literally inside the faucet to lift the broken pin up that way. Should I really have to do that?? Liked · The only really good thing is that this place is right off of I5 for a quick and easy stop. Disliked · Lots of things. We booked a non-smoking room. But the smoke smell from the area around the room was prevalent. Two people sitting on the stairwell (blocking it) smoking almost directly outside of our room. When we called to see the grounds smoking policies, we were told that guests had to be ten feet from the doorway only this is not enforced. Also there were a few sketchy people in and around the parking lot. So sketchy that we didn't feel safe leaving the rest of the luggage for a long trip, in the car. So we hauled bags and luggage for a two week wedding trip with a pet, up the stairs and into our room for the night. The grounds had trash all over and while the rooms are cheap, you get what you pay for. We will be staying somewhere else the next time we stop though Albany. read more

Room was quiet, clean and comfortable, not fancy or recently updated. Hotel is next to south end of airport runway. Many beautiful roses plus a few veggie plants in bedding area. Next door unit and several other rooms appear to be occupied longer-term. A pick-up truck was backed into the parking space in front of our door with a small BBQ unit on the tail gate extending over the walkway by our door - though not operated during our stay. Despite the lady at the office was super nice and she was originally from SoCal. Here are few things that's why I did not enjoy my stay: -My key card did not work for the 1st time, I was given an upstairs room so I had to carry everything downstairs (including Jr. in my arm), put everything back into my car and drove to the front office to ask for a replacement. -Fridge wasn't working (did not get cold at all)and has a sour smell and I happen to have food need to be refrigerated that night. -In order to adjust the AC/heater temperature you have to bend over under the sink. I hurt my ankle in the morning by doing so when my joint was stiff LOL. I had Rodeway Inn the day before at Jantzen Beach (near Portland, OR) so I can totally related what's the difference between heaven and hell. read more

Now that they have us under quarantine I have time to catch up on reviews. Stayed here during one of my travels and I was shocked on the service. Hotel - Place was kept up and shockingly my room was kept up and clean. Service - Staff was really nice and very helpful. Parking - Plenty of parking available here. Price - The room rates are very competitive and priced fair. Overall for the type of hotel it is it was a good experience. read more

Good place for a Rodeway Inn. It is a motel, so you get what you pay for but it was clean and comfortable. The heater under the sink deal is a bit annoying but other than that I have no real complaints. Breakfast could have been better, but some Rodeway inns don't even have breakfasts so this was certainly better than no breakfast. Convenient off of the freeway too. Good place that I will stay at again, next time I am in town. read more

For starters, it was my friend that stayed here as I have cats and she is allergic. I dropped her off in her room, the on line photos do not match what the place really looks like now, noticed the leather chair had food and dried liquid on it. The bedspread looked really old and looked dirty. Sheets were clean. Shower had mold in it and it looked like someone spilled coffee in the bathroom, looks like maybe someone tried to clean it up but left so much on the bathroom wall and door. Is there a cleaning person or just someone who changes the sheets? I went home and got Clorox disinfectant wipes to bring to my friend to wipe everything down. This hotel should be a last resort booking. My friend stayed 2 days at an Airbnb prior to her 1 night stay here and the Airbnb was over 30.00 cheaper than this place. I would not stay here unless this is the only availability and if you do stay, bring cleaning wipes with you, maybe some batteries for the TV remote and plastic to fit over the leather chair, oh and flip flops for use in the shower. read more

I was traveling through on my way to school in Seattle. Booked this room on points. I have stayed in some terribad places with points - to the point of getting them refunded - however this hotel was a nice experience. Front desk lady very nice and helpful. Upon checking into my room noticed the carpet had been replaced a large king size bed in the room, shower had A LOT of pressure, everything worked although the fridge was a bit noisy at night. The highway noise wasn't as loud as it could have been and the eating options in the area not to shabby. Overall a good experience, would I stay here again - YES - read more

The lady who checked me in was friendly and quick. My room was at the end of the other side from the office in a different building. I had to try my key a few times to get it to work. I thought I was going to have to drive back to the office but I have it one last try and it worked. The heating and air unit is under the bathroom cabinet so I had to get on my knees to adjust it. The bed was comfortable and the room big. The bathroom towels were rough. Upon checking out I looked at the continental breakfast, bananas and store bought danish. No thanks. read more

Just checked in and I'm already disappointed in this property. I drove up to the front desk employee sitting on the couch in the lounge watching whatever was on TV. It's a slow night so typically this wouldn't even annoy me. She looked perturbed as I walked through the door, but that's fine. She asked how she could help me and we confirmed my reservation for one night for two adults and a child. As we went through the check in process, I asked some questions about the continental breakfast and mentioned I had a sick baby who had thrown up all over the back seat. I asked where the guest laundry facilities were located and she told me they weren't open until 9am. I explained that we had to be at the cemetery to bury my mother tomorrow at 9am, and then I asked her if there were any laundromats around (I understand hotel policies aren't just going to bend for me...) and she responded that there was one down the road, but it wasn't open. I repeated that my infant had thrown up all over the backseat and we were going to be driving back to California tomorrow. She paused for a moment like she was going to let us use the laundry facilities, and then just handed me my receipt, directing me to my room. I don't expect rules to be bent just because we arrived later in the day, but a little consideration might have been nice looking at the situation. I guess I should have judged by her kick-back attitude upon our arrival that I wasn't going to be receiving any great customer service. I'm pretty disappointed. Compared to the Choice Property we stayed at this weekend in Post Falls, this property pales in comparison. We paid similar rates and had far superior customer service from their guest services staff who went above and beyond to help make sure our most basic needs were met, and they had 24/7 guest laundry rooms. Just wanted to let other Yelpers know that an already difficult and emotional weekend was not made any more bearable by the experience at this property. Thanks anyway. PS. We were traveling for school and needed a place to crash. Why not? it's cheap and right off I-5. The front desk guy wasn't friendly but...a man of few words. Our room, 2 queens sizes bed for $60 for two adults, had a strong stale smell to it. We were regretting our cheapness but I had a can of air freshener in the car; we sprayed EVERYTHING. The beds were firm and clean. The pillows were flat and we only had a sheet and thin blanket on each bed. Luckily, the heater quickly warmed the room and only a little bit noisy. The shower small but the water was hot with great water pressure. The wifi didn't work for us that made us sad/mad. A strange collection of TV channels (no ABC?) so we went to bed early. We both slept well and got up early. They offer a free breakfast but it's mostly instant food; better go to Denny's across the road. Next time, I will probably spend $25 move and stay somewhere else, but in a pinch; this is fine. (Just bring odor neutralizer. ) read more

Not sure which motel the Lobby pictures were shot in but they were not shot at this location. The Lobby is tiny with two tables. I asked myself how this tiny spot would accommodate such a large complex for continental breakfast. Rooms are very basic. Toilet paper is rough grade. Checked in with 4 people only had 3 shower towels. The shower was outfitted with 2 shampoo and no conditioner. The room was clean. Has both a microwave and frig. This place is right off the I-5 and close to places to eat. Loved the fact there was a latte stand right in front of the location. If u are not looking for extravagance it's a good home base spot. read more

Our room smelled like old burnt marshmallows, the carpet, bedding, and decor are OLD. This is only my second review. In the 12 years since Yelp launched in 2004, I've only been moved twice by a consumer experience bad enough to elicit an irresistible need to complain publicly. This was one of them. The Rodeway Inn is a motel. One should have pretty low expectations based on that. And to the place's credit, the rooms are dirt cheap. But even still, in the United States in 2016 I think you should be able to expect a sort of baseline standard of cleanliness. Like, the sink shouldn't have other people's hair in it and you should have to stand in other people's feces when you use the restroom. And to be fair, there was no hair in the sink, so this place has that going for it. Anyway, to the point. The toilet was clogged and filled with fetid brown swill. Nasty! But not unheard of. So I called the front desk. I told them about it. They came with a plunger. But did they fix the problem? No. Did they actually USE the plunger? No. In fact, they left the plunger in the middle of the floor in front of the toilet. Not dripping into a nice little bucket, but right on the floor. A plunger that no doubt had been used to clean other toilets full of other people's brown feculence. So in effect they just left an instrument dripping human filth onto my bathroom floor. Like you, I generally don't travel with a mop, cleaning solvents, or anything like that. I travel with a suitcase. When I stay in a hotel room with a circle of steaming brown death on the bathroom floor, I have to just walk around it. My children have to walk around it. If they or I forget to walk around the crap, we will put our infected feet into our socks and walk the noxious fruit of other people's colons around town. My point is, when I pay to stay in a hotel, I want to be elevated by little mints on the bed and a feeling of pampered relaxation. I don't want to traipse about making little squishing sounds with other people's bowel movements in my shoes. I don't want to die of cholera because I decided to save a few bucks and stay at a motel. Maybe I'm just spoiled. Or maybe DON'T STAY AT THE RODEWAY INN! read more

Wow! I wasn't expecting much for a motel, but I was pretty impressed with this location. The front desk guy (which seemed to have worked almost all the shifts or something) was very helpful with checking us in and giving us recommendations. They are renovating the lobby so their breakfast selection is reduced to the smaller side of the bar along the window. Complimentary continental breakfast included oatmeal, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, bananas, toast and sweet bread. The rooms are alot nicer that I had prepared myself for. The carpet looked fairly new and did not have any stains. There was a flat screen tv, microwave, and fridge. Also includes a hair dryer (so you don't have to pack yours). The only downside was that the door seemed to be jammed and was kind of hard to close without slamming it shut. I'm sure it disturbed some neighbors but I tried my best to keep the door shutting a minimum. My sisters did not enjoy the pillows cause they were a little flat but I liked it. read more

1:30 am and the front desk guy gave us what the computer said was a dirty room although he didn't agree, so away he assigned it to us anyway. Guess who was wrong... The front desk guy. Room was totally unclean. Then we attempted at least one dozen times to call from the room, from the front of the office door, and rang his doorbell. We waited about 15 minutes until the best shift guy finally picked up and reassigned us to a larger bed. When we got to our room it was clean and perfect for our basic needs. read more

This Rodeway Inn was nice. The gentleman at the desk at 1:00 a.m. was very pleasant. The rooms were nice and clean. I was a little disappointed that they only serve "continental" breakfast. Yet I like the fact that it goes til 10 am (we like to sleep in) but once I did make it down stairs to get some breakfast the gentleman at the counter (not the same as the one we checked in with. I think this guy might have been the owner because he had his kid there) watched every item I took. There was 3 of us who stayed there and all I took was 2 coffees and one package of oatmeal yet I felt like I took to much. It was a little awkward. He was gone by the time I checked out at 10 am. Originally we made a reservation at ANOTHER motel in Florence, OR. We arrived there at 10:30 PM but the lobby of that motel is closed and they were not answering any of their emergency phone contacts. We spent the next 4 hours on the phone with Expedia and also look around for other accommodations but since it's a small town on a busy weekend. It's impossible to find one in Florence, OR. So we decided to head back to the I-5 corridor. Expedia HAS FAILED AND UNABLE to find a solution for us. That's when we somehow end up in this Rodeway Inn. We were extremely thankful that they actually answered the door at 3AM in the morning and check us in. The staff NOT ONLY answered the door at 3AM. He was very friendly and helpful. The room itself is also fairly clean and quiet. The motel is located in the suburban area so not much cars passing by. The bed is firm and comfortable. We had good rest there and were able to recharge before we took the long drive home 8 hours later. read more
