Had reservations. Pre checked in a day before. Arrive to find we had a complete fiasco. Mind you we arrived to check in at 4pm. We didn't get everything worked out until 7pm. The room was so filthy when we got there... There was construction mess everywhere and orange substance that had exploded in the freezer. I used over half a package of Lysol wipes cleaning the room on my hands and knees. The fire alarm was hanging from wires in the ceiling and beeping like crazy. I had to stand on the bed to try and fix it for over 45 mins. I finally just left it disconnected and on the dresser as it was broken. The parking lot had garbage all around and the grass was covered in poop. I checked out one night early and had been charged $142 more not credited. The girl upon check out was very rude. This will be my last time staying there for sure! NOW... they charged me $20 for a hand towel!!! read more

If anyone is giving this place 2 stars they are liars. I had to give $100 cash and upon check out they inspected the room. They said the pillow case looked dirty and a wash cloth was stained. They charged me $40. I was standing right there and asked to see the pillow case and wash cloth. When I tell you I was shocked, that's an understatement! I did use the pillow case for 3 nights and I'll admit I did use the washcloth, but what the heck? I cleaned my face. I have never in my life heard of this. I left the room clean, picked up all my trash. This motel houses people experiencing homelessness, which is fine, but I can't imagine they leave their room cleaner than I did. They get paid by the state to house addicts and homeless, and the cash deposit seems like a scam. Super 8 should be ashamed. Believe the reviews. Call them and ask questions. Beware. Wow..... Where to begin??? Let's see.... The toilet seat was broken and due to Covid it's a good thing we brought our own bottle of microbon with us. This room did not look sanitary. There were broken pieces of the AC just laying on the floor. But let's take all that away for a second. We literally drove 18 hours straight from Southern California to attend my sons graduation. All we wanted to do was take a shower and relax. This place was so dirty we couldn't even relax comfortably lol! I laugh because it's kinda comical that they would charge something like $170 a night to stay here. It was a joke really. Then the next morning we asked for a late check out since we checked in around 2am. At 11 someone called the room, at 1130 someone knocked on the door and at 1150 someone called again. I mean damn, we just paid $170 to rest for 9 hours and we were checking out at noon that day. Give me a break! The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is for the simple fact they were able to book us last minute. Other than that this place isn't worth it. You're better off finding somewhere else. read more

This motel is not the "sh*thole" some nitpickers make it out to be, so be cautious of one-star reviews. As for my stay, the room was clean, the TV worked great and the front desk people were nice. One minor quibble (actually, two): the facial tissue dispenser was empty and there was no pen & paper on the table, which I needed, to write a note with, and the vast majority of motels have them. They do offer a continental breakfast, but it was very basic, but I never eat at them anyway, just use for coffee, so, to me, it's not an issue. Other than that, I have no complaints with the room. However, I am disappointed in their "lost and found" policy. To my dismay, I had left some clothing in the dresser in my room, and didn't realize it until I arrived home. I called the motel and they told me to e-mail them and someone (the manager?) would contact me to make arrangements. Well, I e-mailed them, and waited, but no reply. I tried again the following day and, again, no response to my e-mail. I was about to give up when my friend in Albany, who was the purpose of my visit, graciously offered to pick my clothing up at the motel. When he arrived at the motel he was told that none of my clothing had been found. He then asked if my room had been rented since I left, and they said that it hadn't, so he asked if they could check my room, and sure enough, my clothing was where I had left it. Whether or not that room had since been cleaned immediately after I vacated (and the maid neglected to open the dresser) I don't know. I would have left a four-star review but because of the incompetent manner in which they reacted/non-reacted to my e-mails it gets them docked one star. Surely, I'm not the first person to have left something, and, therefore, they need to come up with a (better) system to help with lost and found items. read more

This is a complete let down. It had decent reviews and I booked way in advance. It is a s@)t-hole. I am disappointed by the "handicapped" room. It has nothing different than the regular room I booked for myself. I needed a walk in shower for my 90 year old dad. They don't have one anywhere on the property. My room is supposed to be a Non smoking room and it smells like smoke (I know cause I used to smoke and hate the smell). I don't want to stay here but am trapped by already having checked in and not wanting the hassle of searching a new place and the hassle of trying to get my money back! Weary Traveler-Be warned! If you dirty a towel (like some of the traveling construction workers) anticipate a surprise charge for towel replacement. ($10/hand towel). Called Manager who said they couldn't clean the dirt out. What-you don't have bleach? At least they could have given me the towel and let me take it home to wash. I didn't mention to them the cigarette burns in the bedding I found... I find this an underhanded way to scam. Breakfast? I wouldn't or couldn't call that breakfast. We stopped here on a road trip from LA to Seattle, and were overall quite happy with the experience! They were very accommodating in helping us park a large moving van and trailer. Filthy stinky hot tub, dirty pool, dirty freezer, pathetic "breakfast", rude housekeeping and management staff. Front desk people were ok, and beds were comfy. I have never before been yelled at and harassed out of nowhere while attempting to pack up and leave a hotel by a manager or possible owner, or frankly any other hotel employee, for bringing my overflowing trash out of the room for housekeeping to take away (which is standard hotel operating procedure in America). But the "manager" or maybe owner, who gave me the name "Tony" (probably made up) did just that. Went out of his way to shout at me and made angry uglyface at me as I'm walking away from the room, trying to pack up my family and hit the road in the middle of a long exhausting journey moving from Southern California to Alaska. As I was explaining to him why I pulled my trash out (we have dogs and young children with us so trash needs to get gone) he literally stormed off before I could finish. So rude and mannerless for no reason. It's called hospitality, "Tony". Your job is to make my time comfortable and relaxed while at your establishment after I have given you my money. It's not to angrily yell at me in a public area of the hotel when I've done exactly what hotel guests are supposed to do, but your grumpy housekeeping staff can't figure it out. Speaking of housekeeping, when we arrived to confirm booking, there were 2 housekeepers and no front desk person and neither housekeeper even acknowledged us at all. Our downstairs room has a scenic view of a scuzzy parking lot for McDonalds, with lots of weeds. The other side of the hotel has a small buffer zone between it and the freeway. Well, at least the toilet was sanitized ( I know because I personally removed the paper wrapper). The carpets were clean. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, old TV, and....no bed bugs. And check-in was quick and pleasant. They even offer a free continental breakfast. But the facility is old an drab, folks, needs a makeover. Whoa, hold on.....there is a pair of foam ear plugs, packaged, sitting next to the complimentary shampoo etc. It crossed my mind that they may be telling us something here. Well, we've seen better. The ladies at the front desk, both when I checked in and out, were both very sweet and friendly. The room was very clean and the design was quite modern, which surprised me for what I expected to be a budget motel. The pool seemed very clean but was closed. I accidentally slept through breakfast so I can't say anything about that either. My room was on the second floor and was easy to get to, though I had to carry my suitcase up the stairs side I didn't see an elevator anywhere. It was non-smoking and smelled fine. I walked in and was on my way to my room within 5 minutes, and when I went to check out, it didn't even take a minute. By far the most bang for your buck. I stayed here for a few nights while I was in town visiting a childhood friend. There was a clean pool, nice breakfast. The hotel in general was clean and quiet. When I first walked into the room, I was really impressed. It was so clean, and smelt very fresh. There was nice paint on the walls, and a blue accent wall with a beautiful picture. The bed was very comfortable (and that's saying something because I sleep on a sleep number bed, picky sleeper haha). Housekeeping did amazing replenishing my towels and soaps. The front desk was always very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay at this hotel every time I come back to Albany. Do yourself a favor, and stay at this hotel! read more

This rating has nothing to do with Covid-19! You know how you wonder when an establishment has a low rating? We came to this Super Motel 8 in Albany off the Interstate 5. We book the motel with Priceline an we're in Oregon where there's no sales tax but oh there's fee etc. when we arrived there was a woman working who was very nice and the motel didn't seem that bad. We spent the night and thought why not stay another night to get well rested. So I go down to ask if we could just keep the same room. And this man was working the front desk/window because you can't go inside this lobby. He tells me no problem and then charges me a different price, I had forgotten that I booked the room online. So I tell him I'll just book it again for the discount. So I do and he sees it's gone through then after he takes my credit card and ID again he says that will be a $100 cash. I asked you didn't just charge it to my credit card when you took my card? He says no we only except cash. So he got mad and pulled this scam is what it felt like and says only cash no credit card. I told him I don't have any cash I never carry cash I always use a card for everything. To wrap this up there's a very rude foreign man working here and I would pick another place to stay. I would pay much more for someone kind with a good attitude then do business with this place. read more

We stayed here over night while visiting family. Having booked a king room we were surprised at being on the back of the building facing the freeway. The drone of continuous traffic did block out any potential noises from other units. The room was adequate at best. There were visible stains on the outer bedding. It was a good thing I didn't want to use the shower as the collapsing tiles on the walls along with the molding grout were frightening enough. Let's not forget the toilet that moved beneath you while seated. It looks as though there are renovations underway which would explain the good reviews. I had to make a last-minute trip to Albany, Oregon, under the worst possible circumstances (death in the family). Due to the nature of the trip, I was simply looking for anything that was halfway-decent and affordable, especially as the whole trip was made without advance bookings and plannings. The good: VERY friendly staff; Mostly clean rooms; moderately comfortable rooms; Decent a/c; Free wifi; Mediocre but free breakfast; Affordable pricing. The bad: Everything else. The room was small and the bathroom was tiny. My first night, I had an ENORMOUS spider in my bathroom, which ran away before I could stomp it. Knowing it was still in the room caused me to sleep with a light on for the rest of my 4-night stay. Each day, I saw at least one spider in the room. Even though I was in one of the "better" rooms facing the pool, it was noisy to the point it affected my sleep. I had a ton of highway noise, noise from anyone and everyone chatting outside, noise from the snack machine, noise from the pool, and a jarring amount of noise coming from the parking lot. I would be awakened several times a night and spent the trip feeling sick due to my lack of adequate rest. I'm hoping to make another trip to Albany under better circumstances. The next time I travel, I'll look into any of the other motels/hotels in the area. While this wasn't completely horrible and there appears to be far worse places in town, I imagine it wouldn't take much to find solidly decent motel. read more

I booked a room online for my friend in Corvallis but I accidentally booked a room in Albany because both hotel name are almost the same "Super 8 by Wyndham xxx" except the last word is different being in Albany or Corvallis. Once I and my friend noticed the error, we contacted Super 8 in Albany immediately, about 10 hours after booking and 4 hours before the 2 pm checking in hoping to transfer or re-booking the room at Super 8 Corvallis. But the manager was very rigid and inflexible refusing to transfer or provide any form of refund, not considering the fact that we only wanted to change a room or having a credit so we may book another room in Super 8 Corvallis, and that there were quite some rooms vacant for that Thursday so our change wouldn't make them lost revenue..... The management's rigidity and poor/unwise customer services have lost us as their customers forever. read more

This was our 3rd stay at the Super 8 in two years and will be our last based on our experience. We got a good rate through Priceline, but was charged $10 per night plus tax to "upgrade" our room from a King to two doubles. Since we were on vacation, we slept late each day and made it to the breakfast near to closing. While I understand that supplies should be running low, each day they were completely out of eggs, fruit, yogurt, and *gasp* coffee. Only small styrofoam cups were offered for juice, milk, or coffee. And the place was filthy. The pool area was also disgusting. Moss and algae were growing everywhere. The patio furniture was dirty and broken. There was garbage everywhere, like used band-aids and paper cups. They were always out of pool towels. The hot tub was out of order for 5 days we were there. My son had a great time, but this Mom had to grit her teeth every time he went in. The room was adequate, if dated. It is a typical old motel. Our room faced the inner courtyard, which was better than either facing I-5 or McDonalds. The pillows were very good and the air conditioner worked great. The worst thing about the room was the lock! It took at least 5 minutes to try and get in through a combination of holding the door closed, letting it go, sliding the key up, moving it to the right, and repeating. SO frustrating, especially when your little son has to use the bathroom after playing in the pool. Service was good. The clerks were personable and housekeeping did a good job. I would not recommend staying here; there are many better options in the area, especially given the hidden charges. read more

We get to meet the owner, he was really welcoming. He told us about the new upgrades they have done and brief information about places to visit. Clean, comfortable, quiet; greeted by the owner who gave us restaurant recommendations and the next morning asked about our comfort and satisfaction. We remarked about the bed, the best we've slept on in any motel, and he explained he spent a lot of money on them because "that's what you should expect". Standard features (wi-fi,fridge,micro,TV,coffee maker) plus iron and board, and comfy recliner. All staff were cheerful and friendly even on a Holiday (Thanksgiving), and everyone was smiling. Obviously this is a franchise operation but it's an example of a great value and a good experience at a very affordable price $59 w/ tax. Stayed there about a week ago. Over priced for the room. The room was gross. Walked in, found what looked like snot on the picture above the bed. Holes in the wall with wiring hanging out. Drip stains (multiple) on the wall of the bathroom. Cum stains on the bed skirt. Hair on the lampshade. I was hoping is was going to get better, so I took a shower. The shower head kept unscrewing; opted for taking a bath. That was acceptable. After my bath I walked barefoot from the bath around the corner to the bed, sat down and found that the bottom of my feet were black. (I'm a white woman) Sowith that being said, the carpets were so nasty, I was pissed. The only thing good from staying there, was there at least weren't bed bugs. A single queen bed for $141.30! What we found inside was horrific! Blood stains on the sheets and bedbugs!!!
