Been trying to find a lunch spot in Playa near my new office, and glad I came across Rodini Park today. The other walkable options are Tocaya (so so bad), HomeState (fine, but not great) and HERE!!!! I got the Lamb/Beef Gyro (classic size) and I loved it. They toast the pita bread on flattop with olive oil, add in protein , and then you build it yourself with toppings and sauce. I got cucumber, tomato, and onion with tzatziki and their house-made Mount Olympus sauce (this was unreal). It's like a tangy, creamy, spice (not spicy) yogurt based sauce (I literally cannot compare it to anything because it's amazing, unlike anything I've had). The price point is a little high at $16 for a pita and $4 for an iced Tea ($20 lunch) but it's 2024. Will be back for sure, can't wait. read more

Absolutely love this place! it's definitely one of my favorite food spots in Playa Vista. They validate parking in the structure, unlike the place next door, which only claims to validate parking, so you can be in and out quickly if you're picking up food to go. They have a Chipotle style set up but that doesn't mean the service isn't stellar. They'll let you try meats and items on the protein list and help you build out your order. I've gotten the chicken breast platter on every visit, but I've sampled the fried falafel and it's delicious. All the veggies have always been really fresh and delicious. The turmeric rice is just delicious and the meat quality is amazing. I'm personally really picky about meat, but it's always been top quality--no gross or dark meat pieces in the chicken breast and they make it fresh to order. The desserts are also incredible! I've tried the baklava cheesecake and salted caramel butterscotch cheesecake and both were absolutely amazing if you're a baklava fan! Highly recommend this spot! read more

Amazing place. I've been to the north Hollywood location several times and loved it. The gluten free pita is fantastic and they use precautions such as separate stovetop and will change their gloves as well. The food is always fantastic and staff is friendly and welcoming. I'm so happy the playa location has finally opened we will be frequenting this location often as it is closer to our home. Food is the same fantastic quality as the north Hollywood location. They validate parking so it makes it super easy. Peter the owner is so sweet and caring which shows in his staff and the food at this restaurant. 100% a must for those gluten free because the gluten free pita is FANTASTIC. read more

I was a regular patron to the NoHo location until I moved out of the area. I absolutely loved it and always raved to all my friends about it. When I found out that the Playa location was conveniently in an area I frequent, I was excited to get it again. The only positives to the Playa locale is that the honey custard cake is amazing and that the Big Fat Pitas are still oversized goodness. The park fries ended up soggy from the condensation in the bag. Granted, the fries were still warm, but that packaging is not conducive to ANY level of fry-happiness. The chicken shawarma bowl was beyond a let down. The majority of it was dark meat, and it was so dried out. There was absolutely no seasoning or flavor to the chicken. It tasted like it had been roasted bare and sitting in a warming tray for a couple days exposed to the direct summer sun. You know that scene in Christmas Vacation where they're sitting around the dinner table and trying to chew through the turkey? Ya, it was that dry. The rice was okay. The tzatziki sauce was a bit scary, too. In the little to-go containers, the sauce had an uncanny amount of water separation happening in it. Like, there's a normal type of separation that can happen (proteins in the dairy, etc), but this wasn't right. Even after stirring it up a bit, it had a slimy goop consistency. Flavor-wise? I took a bite with the chicken and didn't bother with the rest. The big fat gyro pita was okay. All the sauce was just on the ends, but the pita bread was soft and there was a lot of meat. Overall, I was full from the meal (of what I did finish eating) but extremely disappointed in it. I won't go back. In terms of parking, I can see it being tricky when school is in session (I went on a Saturday). I parked in the 10 minute drop off zone outside on Shared Dr. Not knowing the area, I wandered through the parking structure following the signs for the food. The baklava cheesecake sounds like such a good idea, but it doesn't taste good at all and costs $70. Between six people, we couldn't even finish a single slice because it tastes like piles of cinnamon. The cheesecake part is decent but it's drowned out by all the cinnamon. Four stars because the food is truly delicious. I ordered takeout via Grubhub during COVID19 and it was really annoying trying to find/ get to this location. All the walkways are blocked off and there is no clear signage on where to go. Also when you finally find the place (I entered via coming in from Conference Room), no one pays any attention once you're in the establishment. Boo. Definitely not 4-star location/service. But again, the food is amazing. I got a salmon/brown rice bowl and it was very flavorful! The pita and salad were tasty as well. The wraps are Delicious, healthy and fresh! Service is very friendly and the restaurant is bright, clean and inviting. Prices are a bit high, considering the quality of the ingredients in the care they put into their food it is worth the splurge. Ordered a full meal for the family tonight and sadly we all found it really inedible. We had gyro, shawarma, and the chicken thigh special and it was all really dry- none of us could even finish our meals. I was hoping to like it since it was close, but I don't think we will be returning. Sad I spent $100 that we pretty much just threw it all out. This joint is located in a very quiet and mostly empty park of the massive Playa Vista biz complex. Since COVID it's been pretty spooky over there. But there's a few great spots for lunch, especially if you are looking for somewhere mellow to grab a meal. Rodini is good. For $12 bucks I got a generous Greek plate with delicious fresh veggies, yummy feta, tangy olives and tons of sauce options. Lord knows I am obsessed with a good food bowl. I would probably opt for another meat or the falafel option next time. The beef/lamb gyro was fine, if not lukewarm and a bit dry. Ok but nothing to write home about. Maybe I would just get a salad as the veggies and sauce were so good. It's such a cute place, nice staff and a great outdoor patio area. The gyro was DRY and super low quality. Like what you expect from a concession stand at the dodgers stadium but not as tasty. But then we thought they're probably a bakery and we had ordered the cheesecake baklava and sweet bun too. They were even worse than the gyro. Love that we are having so many more food options in Playa Vista. Rodini Park is such a great addition with its variety of soups, salads, pitas, bowls/platters, Greek pies, lemonades, and desserts. I had the gyro platter, spinach pie, and salted butterscotch baklava cheesecake. I was surprised by how much the gyro meat tasted like the gyros we had in Greece! I can't wait to try more, including their daily specials. Tuesday's Greek Shrimp with Tomatoes, Onions, & Feta sounds extra delicious. The baklava ice cream is also quite tempting! Their customer service is amazing! They'll let you sample anything, especially if you tell them it's your first time there. They gave us so many options to customize our gyro platter. They also validate parking for the building's lot. Definitely worth visiting! They also have a cute sister restaurant next door that serves beer and wine. read more

MY FAVORITE GYRO that I have found nearby me so far. I've tried four spots now- and this one stands out as my favorite. The gyro was very customizable and the flavors were all so proper. Mmmm. Placed a carry out order and it said 30 minutes- but was ready MUCH sooner. I ordered a big fat pita with the fire roasted lamb and beef option. Added a ton of toppings and flavors to make it mine! So good! I keep debating between four or five stars- but need to stick to four because the parking/trying to find this place from inside the garage- was a MESS. Dear Rodini Park- please put more &/or better signage inside the parking garage so it's not just a crapshoot trying to figure out where to go. By the time I got our carry out, I was so flustered it was hard to focus on how good the meal was. Will definitely go back and plan to dine in. I first heard about Rodini Park's opening because I follow Hash on Instagram. We finally had the opportunity to try out their offerings last night. We had 7:45 tickets to "Us" at the Cinemark in Playa Vista and needed a quick dinner option. Luckily, Rodini Park did not disappoint. It's in the office space enclave in Playa Vista to the right of Hash but around the corner. There were a few people ahead of us in line but it moved quickly. Most of the food is premade so it's a bit like Chipotle where you put your meal together as you go through the line. There are a few exceptions which are grilled up upon your order. I ordered the gyro and the chicken shawarma which were already ensconced in their proper place in the chain. My husband ordered the chicken shawarma and chicken breast and the latter ended up being grilled. We also picked up a custard dessert with a super flaky crust. The food itself was actually quite good. We both ordered the platters with yellow rice. I also opted for hummus and ordered the garlic sauce. Although I opted not to get pita, I used my sauces as dips for my gyro and shawarma which were the perfect accompaniment. Considering that you can get a complete meal, carbs, salad, protein for about $10 + tax, this hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. Also the parking is validated though in our case, the gate arm was up on arrival so we had to ask one of the guys in the kitchen to help us get out and he had to get security from another building to get permission. All in all, Rondini Park was a definite excellent find and so incredibly priced for everything we got. It will be on my go to list for comfort food and weekend eats. read more

Heard the hype about this place to decided to come check it! Love this place, it's a casual counter service restaurant that delivers much flavor that you wouldn't normally get from a restaurant like this. Think of this as the Mediterranean Chipotle. There's is a default list of meats every day, but there are also specials daily. One of my favorites is the lamb on Fridays, it's a bit more expensive but you get a lot of food from it. My preference is for the rice plate, that comes with meat, veggies and some pita. Honestly, I can't do this place right by recommending a certain combination. I've tried something different every single time and they've all been amazing. The desserts are also bomb, I've had a couple varieties of the baklava cheese cake, and the chocolate bar. Staff here are all really nice and friendly. One time I came a bit before closing and they insisted on bringing everything back out just to make me something! You can also get parking validation as parking outside of the garage can be a bit of a pain read more

I can't really do a complete review as I've only had the baklava, which was the BEST I've EVER had and their baklava cheesecake... theeee most delicious cheesecake ever. I don't know whose idea it was to have a super delicious, creamy cheesecake paired with a baklava crust, but they're a culinary genius! I had the hardest time trying to find their Playa Vista location (hindered with closed off gated areas around the entire perimeter, but bonus stars for the very nice and helpful guy who answered the phone and said they'd stay open as long as it took for me to find them. I ordered through PostMates. I should've heeded the reviews from other people ordering through delivery companies. Although the pictures look delicious, the food just wasn't up to par. The baklava was so disappointing, it wasn't crispy or flaky at all. It was so weird and mushy. Baklava can last for days, but this baklava tasted like it was super, super old. But, the baklava cheesecake, banana cheesecake, Greek candy bar, and the other desserts were really good. I liked that they had gluten free pita bread with my gyro plate though... that was cool. But, overall, food just wasn't that good. The fries sucked and the turmeric rice smelled like it was old/spoiled. It just wasn't as good as I've had from other places, perhaps my expectations were way too high. read more

Im sorry, I have to give Rodini a 2. I ordered the half chicken, half gyro with half white and brown rice and it tasted horrible. Not only did the chicken have a bad flavor, both it and the gyro meat was dry and super burnt (like black burnt) The brown rice was undercooked and crunchy. Im still at awe in how they allowed such low quality food to leave their kitchen. Only thing that kept them from getting zero stars was that the baklava cheesecake was yummy but I couldn't get full off of that! read more

I absolutely LOVE the North Hollywood location, so I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately I was let down. I'll start with the positives - the ambiance is really awesome. Super chill, beautiful patio, tucked out of the way. I imagine it's just after work ad agency crowds - so maybe there's a lame factor here that I might have hated bc we are still shelter in place. The negatives - the bakery is totally different than NoHo. The baklava was not good and portions were inconsistent. The honey custard cake - dry. Honey cookies - the oil tasted old. The baklava cheesecake was decent, but also a different recipe from NoHo. Parking - no idea where the hell it is available. I parked illegally in the street and ran in to get my order. I also ran circles around the complex trying to find the place as there is construction and fencing blocking everything. I would feel terrible for food delivery drivers getting horribly lost here. The whole experience was so bad that I'm actually turned off from going to NoHo now. Which might be a good thing in the long run because I go HAM in NoHo ordering all sorts of sweets. Blessing in disguise for my waistline. Probably a nice place to drop in after work if you work in that Playa area. For anyone else - skip it, and also spare your food delivery drivers because they have no place to mark and will do a mile trying to find the entrance. read more

There's a staircase opening area down the alleyway that you come in through yg g. Otherwise signs will take you all the way around the building. Rodini Park is a chipotle style fast food restaurant where you can get your Greek yummies on in a bowl, pita, or salad style. There's a bunch of options, so get creative! I got a gyro salad, and fries, and was such a great delicious combo. The gyro meat was tasty, the salad was fresh, the dressings were yummy! (I got tzaziki, hummus) and it came with a couple pieces of wheat pita. Nearby there's a park and some benches if you want to get some sun- socially distantly away from others. read more

Hidden gem! My husband and I frequently order their chicken Shawarma plate and it never disappoints! The meat is so well spiced and tastes really authentic. It comes with rice, pita, veggies, and a variety of sauces - I'm a huge fan of the Greek chili sauce! Generous portions and very reasonably priced.
