Oh my goodness, this place is WONDERFUL! It's tucked away on the first level of a business building next to the Playa Vista Google complex and I'm SO GLAD that I can walk to it from my apartment. They have an assortment of daily specials to choose from, but they also offer salads and plates of several different kinds of meat. I always get the chicken, but I have tried the lamb and it's delectable! The people who work there are extremely friendly and just want you to have a satisfying meal! The food is extremely fresh, tasty, and they provide quick, efficient service! It's a bit of a hidden gem, and I kind of like it that way, being a local, however I won't try and hide this delicious food from others! Give it a try! P.S. wow what a hidden gem!! i'm gluten free and was craving dessert one day and stumbled upon this cute little restaurant and im so happy i did!! i got the chicken shawarma platter and a slice of flourless chocolate cake. both were AMAZING and i'll definitely be back soon. the chicken was super flavorful and not dry at all, the tzatziki and mount olympus (a little spicy) sauces were both delicious and the flourless chocolate cake was HEAVENLY. most flourless cakes are really dense and rich but this cake was light and fluffy and i'm kind of embarrassed to admit that i ate the whole slice in one day. the service was also 10/10. the owner and the employee i spoke with were welcoming, friendly, and very knowledgeable about all the dishes. overall the environment was great and i can't wait to return soon to try the greek candy bar (their other GF dessert.) also: they validate parking!! on weekends you can get your ticket validated FOR THE WHOLE DAY!! that means having a cute picnic at the park, playing some soccer or basketball, or just hanging out in the area and not having to worry about parking. on the weekends it's usually difficult to find a spot on the street so this is definitely a great plus!! read more

Rodini is finally in my neighborhood! Fell in love with them in NoHo and am so glad I don't have to sit in traffic for this anymore! They have the softest gluten free pita bread and tastiest vegan/diary free desserts. You can't tell the baklava doesn't have any butter in it! (I know traditionally baklava doesn't have butter but a lot of places now use it unfortunately) While the food is great - perfect for lunch - what bumped this to a 5 is their consistency in service. I went in tonight with my 2 little ones and the staff there couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, really outstanding service from everyone! They were friendly, organized, assisted with high chairs, recommendations, refills, adjusting the table.... you name it and they were there to help! As for the food I can't tell you how excited I was a Greek place was opening up here in PV, and with high expectations from their Yelp reviews this place had a lot to live up to, but I can assure you this place more than delivers on their promises. The food is excellent, fresh, warm, flavorful and healthy. Great variety of sides, toppings and sauces and a really excellent pita bread, soft yet decadent. We love this place! We have been in Noho one also. We have had pretty much everything in the menu. The food here is delicious! And the employees are very welcoming. It's so good that my kids doesn't want to share a plate since they want their own plate. Salted baklava cheesecake is nothing like I've ever tasted before. It's insane! French Fries are bomb. My husband I have been here 4 times now and we love it! The food is made right in front of you and you can customize it however you'd like. My favorite thing to order is the salad with chicken shawarma and Greek vinaigrette and spicy harissa(you can choose 2 sauces)...delicious! My husband really likes the lamb or gyro plate. We both LOVE the baclava cheesecake, it is the best cheesecake ever (salted caramel, chocolate, or regular...they're all delicious). I visited this afternoon and ordered the chicken shawarma pita sandwich. My only gripe is that I couldn't call ahead and order pick-up...I had to stand in line and wait to order. While I normally don't do lines, (time is ones most precious commodity!!!) this place is half a block from my office and chicken shawarma is a staple in my diet. We needed a quick local place to go with friends and the kids after a day at the park. I had read the reviews and saw it mentioned on the PV facebook page quite a bit. Having been raised on authentic tiropita, souvlaki and the like, I was a bit skeptical of how good their food would be. The food isn't authentic but it was a healthier version of what I grew up on while maintaining a lot of the real flavor. So it was not what I was expecting but in some ways exceeded it. I especially enjoyed the succulent lamb shawarma pita with Moroccan harissa mixed with tzatziki and for dessert, the baclava cheesecake. When I inquired if they ever have loukoumades (a very delicious Greek donut like puff pastry) one of the gentlemen wrote it down to check with the owner about baking or stocking in the future. All in all, what a wonderful find and I hope that they stay in Playa Vista for a long time. read more

I would give this place a 5, but I bit into a large toothpick on my last order that almost damaged my teeth. It looks like it may have fallen out of place and was hidden inside my pita. I would advise placing the toothpicks from the outside of the paper wrapper so one can clearly see it, or to not use one at all as it can be very dangerous. read more

Found Rodini Park on Postmates when looking for some good Mediterranean food. I ordered a gyro pita combo which came with park fries. I wasn't sure what park fries were going to be, but it ended up a mixture of fries and the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. The gyro pita was so good and the ingredients were all fresh. I also ordered a small chicken lemon soup which was so delicious. I can't wait to order from here again! read more

If you're thinking of ordering takeout from here, don't bother. This experience was a first for me...I ordered through Grubhub to pick up my order at their Playa Vista location. When I arrived they couldn't find my food. After looking around for about 5 min, they told me the food was gone and they had given it to someone else. Okay, not a problem, right? - these things happen. Apparently it is a problem for this Supervisor. He was telling me there was nothing he could do and was basically like, tough luck, call Grubhub, and go somewhere else. At this point I had already payed for my order and it was 8:30pm so I wasn't really trying to find another option. He was very dismissive and rude, to the point where we practically got into a shouting match in there. As he was trying to shoo me away, I was demanding to speak with his Manager, to which he was telling me to go outside and leave. Finally after some back and forth, he got the owner who rectified it. He apologized for the other Supervisors behavior and offered me a lemonade. Pretty weak way of trying to make the situation better. As I was leaving, he was still apologizing and asking if I was "feeling better" about what happened. I said "honestly, not really, and I probably wouldn't be back." So he through a Baklava in as well LOL! Still really weak for what happened. This write up honestly isn't doing it justice. It was a pretty ridiculous situation for a restaurant to not take any ownership of what was clearly their mistake, and to treat me like I was in the wrong when I had an order number right on my phone! The way the whole thing was handled, I'll never go back to this spot. Poor management and very poor customer service. read more

This is a hidden gem in a Playa Vista over in Phase 2 by the office park development. The food is Absolutely DELICIOUS! It's freshly prepared on-site, nice portions, flavorful, and well priced! I usually have one of the salad plates with a protein or one of the pita wraps. Today, I added in the flowerless, gluten free chocolate cake for dessert made by their pastry chef. It was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Wow!!! They claim it has zero calories if you close your eyes while eating it!! My eyes were closed with each delicious bite. LOL The owner, Peter, and all of the employees are also very friendly and cool. No attitude---just a super Positive Attitude towards customers. They always remember their customers and welcome you back. They are always generous in letting you sample any of their food items before purchasing. It's more like eating in your favorite grandmother's kitchen than eating in a restaurant with their gracious hospitality. It's a welcoming environment and a place you should definitely check out for fast, quick, casual Greek food that's delicious and won't break the bank. Definitely 5 stars all the way!!!!! By the way, they validate parking in the parking structure directly behind the massive blue Kaws statue. This is probably a three and a half / four star review for me only because my expectations were SO HIGH based on the other reviews. I had the falafel platter, and it was quite good. The falafel was surprisingly a little spicy (but I'm also a midwesterner who can't handle spice) but nothing crazy. The portion was good, and it felt overall like a healthy meal. Someone else in our group got the chicken kebab platter and found the portion to be small, and was hungry shortly afterwards. Gem of a place. From the quality of food to the quality of the staff they employ they are top notch all around. Thursday and Friday nights they have live music (acoustic guitar on Thursday and Jazz on Friday) and each day of the week they have specific specials.
