The food took forever to arrive even though there was like no one there and it was so overpriced for this type of restaurant. This is an entree (around $20).

Visited for the second time for a weekday lunch. Everything was delicious as usual with wonderful service. Their burek is one of the best things I've tasted! Full of wonderfully season ground beef. Excited to try their spinach burek next time.

3 things you will experience when eating here: 1. Excellent service - staff was patient and friendly. 2. Freshest food - you taste the freshness and quality. 3. Best coffee you've ever tasted: Turkish coffee is like an espresso without any bitterness at all - AT ALL- A MUST TRY I recommend getting the grilled peppers, Cevapi, Baklava, and Turkish coffee.

Best food in Los Angeles if you like Turkish influenced food or grew up in Balkans area of South Eastern Europe. Balkan Burger (Chevapi) headlines the show and Sarma (minced meat wrapped in cabbage) is the next star. They also have Greek souvlaki (if Im not mistaken) and make regular, American style sandwiches and salads. All in all, good place for a family lunch or dinner.

Aroma Cafe, a Mediterranean restaurant and cafe, is a hidden gem that offers a delightful culinary experience. From the moment I walked in, I was charmed by the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor is warm and elegant, with comfortable seating and a welcoming vibe. I decided to try their cafe mocha and cappuccino, and both exceeded my expectations. The cafe mocha was rich and creamy, with the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate flavors. It was a comforting and indulgent treat. The cappuccino, on the other hand, was expertly crafted with a smooth, velvety texture and a robust coffee flavor that was simply delightful. But the highlight of my visit was the Spinach Pita. This dish was an absolute revelation. The pita bread was fresh and perfectly baked, while the spinach filling was seasoned to perfection, with a wonderful blend of herbs and spices. It was light yet satisfying, and every bite was a burst of Mediterranean flavors. Staff was pretty sweet too to hell us and suggest menu

Bosnian restaurant with homey vibes. Came here for dinner with a friend as we wanted to try something different, and I've had this place bookmarked. We split a plate of grilled veggies (the full size is good for two) and the combo plate. We opted for the mix of 10 cevapi, 1 beef patty, and 2 shish kebabs but you can also get 30 cevapi instead. The cevapi were these little rolls of beef and were absolutely delicious; those were my fave. We had a side of warm pita bread to accompany the meat, and it was a great hearty combo. For dessert, we split a tufahiya because it sounded cool. It's essentially a peeled apple with a walnut paste inside and a light syrup outside of it. It's not too sweet (the walnut paste was not seeet at all) and it was interesting to look it. The waitress was nice and there seemed to be a lot of locals that go here. There's a small free parking lot in the front. Credit cards are accepted.

Aroma is a nice, cozy Cafe on Overland just south of Pico in a small shopping center. The server was very professional and attentive. The turkish coffee was excellent. Later hours until 10pm Recommended.

I love that they have early hours even on weekends for those of us still up at 7am no matter what. Village Well is just such a nice place to hangout in if you love books and/or need a place to work instead of home so you don't fall asleep. I placed copies of my books there, including a recent title that had been in the store for less than six months. When I followed up, I was told there had been no recorded sales and that books are subject to removal after a period of time without activity. When I returned to the store, I noticed that much of the "local author" section appeared sparsely stocked, which raised concerns for me about how long books are kept on display and how actively they are supported. To be fair, the store did communicate that: Authors are responsible for following up on sales Shelf space is limited Books may be removed after a certain period However, I think it's important for other local authors to understand that: Placement does not guarantee visibility or promotion You may need to actively check in and market your book yourself Unsold books may be pulled without much notice If you're considering consignment, I recommend having a clear plan to promote your work and staying in regular contact with the store. Just sharing my experience so others go in with clear expectations.

My go to coffee is an oat milk latte, and depending on how hungry I am, either the protein brekkie or one of their burritos (love both homemade salsa that come with them). My taste buds went through a ride each time...woh kind of "sour", but no...it's alright...to...not 100% whether I actually like this or not. Was the oatmilk bad? The coffee beans they use? Vanilla lattes are my go-to coffee order so I've tried a lot of these. I can say did not like this "roller coaster ride" at 7:30 in the morning. I would've gone up to the counter to nicely ask for something else, but had an appointment I already left for. I ended up throwing half of it away! So sad. The macadamia nut banana bread was hefty in portion (appreciated) and moist. It was nice. This space is a nice, sunny vibe to work, read, pass some time. People come and go so there was plenty of available tables or bench seats. Service was stellar. Everyone was professional and pleasant. There was one person making the drinks, but he moved with purpose and pumped drinks out much faster than any Starbucks (for reference). I wouldn't stop here again. I'm actually drinking a different iced latte from elsewhere 2 hours later lol Parking: street. If none on this side may need to go across the street. Not sure if the building has a garage option, but it might. I didn't look the menu up earlier or I would've tried something with "almond macadamia" (as the 3 orders before mine were called out including).

Nothing to revert about. But wow, that mimosa was filled to the rim! I got the speciality weekend brunch spritz. I don't remember what it was call but it was strong and refreshing. Yes. The spritz was strong or my tolerance has gone way down. First course: I was pleasantly surprised by how big the Avacado toast was. It had a jam at the bottom that brought the whole dish together. Like my HH review, some micro greens would have taken my heard back. I just love microgreens! Deviled eggs and croquetts I've tried before. They were both pretty good. Croquetts can't do wrong. Mains: I got the crab Benedict and it was awesome! I filled up on my avocado toast so I took half of it home. There was plenty of crab and the poached egg was running and bright orange. That's some healthy eggs! Fresh toast looked amazing as well, same with the burger. I know the burger was also popular at happy hour for the price but I was told it was very good. I'll have to go next time just for that. Parking: Just park by the paid lot by trader Joe's or off Cardiff. Easier than trying to find parking on that street. The paid lot is $1 free and $1 additional hours. The patio was super charming with all the natural lights and shaded by the trees. The service was decent as well. Will took good care of us.

There is a full-service restaurant and bar perfect for grabbing a pint and a meal, and a dedicated bakery on the right side where you can pick up empanadas and sweets. During my recent visit to the bakery, I ordered three empanadas and a Beef Milanesa sandwich. It had been a few years since I'd had a Milanesa, and this version was quite solid -- it's essentially what would happen if a chicken fried steak and a chicken cutlet had a baby. The Beef Milanesa ($19.25), it features a breaded, very thin eye of the round beef. Since this is a bakery, the French Baguette is front and center, offering a great bite. It's pretty simple with the tomato, lettuce and mustard. While I would definitely eat it again, it isn't necessarily a destination sandwich I'd drive across town for, but it's a very satisfying choice. For the side, I went with the staff member's recommendation of French Fries over the salad. It was the right move; the shoestring fries were perfectly seasoned, hitting that ideal balance of crispy and soft. Spinach Artichoke: A flavorful blend of extra virgin olive oil, whole milk mozzarella, spinach, artichoke hearts, and caramelized onions. Spicy Beef: Made with halal beef, sweet onions, and a kick from three different types of chilies. Chicken Mushroom: Features halal chicken thigh (ground in-house by hand) with roasted mushrooms and fresh herbs. The empanadas ($3.50 each) were excellent and truly the primary reason to visit. The Spinach Artichoke and Spicy Beef were my personal favorites. I'll definitely be back soon to work my way through the rest of the empanada menu. With so many hipster restaurants popping up in the area, don't overlook this local gem. Whether you're in for the bakery treats or a hearty sandwich, you won't be disappointed.
