    I have come to the conclusion that I just don't care for this RS location!! Food has been subpar both times I've come here. Each time being 11 months a part so the newness should have worn off my now! My visit on 8/23/23 was during lunchtime. I went inside to place my to go order. It wasn't crowded so I was helped right away. So service was cool. I was even asked if I wanted a drink while I waited for my order. Nice gesture and good customer service. That's where the good ends!!' I get home and my ribs are cold and yet again greens are salty as ________ (you fill in the blank with your own word) I won't be back to this location!!! I refuse to pay for cold food. Why? It's unacceptable , especially when the food isn't cheap! Go to the their other locations in town and skip this one!

    The Smoked Turkey Barbecue sandwich was delicious! This was my first time to Rodney Scott Barbecue place and the service was amazing. I was offered a donut which was very tasty. Cashier was nice and customer friendly. Parking is available for those who want to stop and visit inside. Ambiance is relaxed and quiet. See picture of the delicious .

    We've been waiting to give Rodney Scott's a try for a while now since they've been packed since they opened. We came in on a Friday night and tried them out. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I'm not usually a fan of vinegar sauce, but these sauces on the tables were better than the most that I've had. I got the pulled pork plate with mac and cheese and french fries. My wife got the catfish, and she ended up sharing it with our daughter. Our daughter definitely preferred the catfish over the pulled pork! She also liked the hush puppy that came with it. My wife liked them both as well.I liked the pork a lot, and whatever they season their french fries with is delicious. I'm a big fan of their fries now! I really want to try their brisket, though it is a tad expensive, but if you know me, you know I'm a big fan of brisket, so I'll have to try it at some point. I'm sure we'll be back soon!

    We had a large group and the service was excellent! It didn't take long for them to get our food to us. Everything was hot and delicious! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I strongly recommend this place.

    The restaurant is nice! The dining was filled with people on a Thursday around 5:00pm You walk up to register to place your order. Half of the restaurant is called The Pit. Where they cook the wonderful meats! We have never tried Rodney Scott's before and wondered how they would fare in this BBQ restaurant rich neighborhood. The people are very welcoming and if you don't like a busy dining room you can just get in the drive through.

    Still 5 stars. Ordered online and picked it up for dinner tonight. The ribs were just as good tonight as they were the first time two weeks ago. This time, we got the half rack rib plate with the hush puppies and collards. The hush puppies are so tasty, with or without the honey butter. We also got the family pulled pork meal with 6 buns, potato salad and cole slaw. I cannot comment personally on the potato salad because it is just not something I eat. So I will tell you that the others who ate it said it was wonderful. We were gonna order the baked beans but they were out. The sauces that came with the meal and the rib plate were great too. As a side note, when you order online, it asks you which sauce you would like and you can request a few samples of each in the special request box while ordering. For those that complained by saying there was no sauce on the pork or it was left off, most places don't put sauce on their bbq anymore because not everyone likes sauce on their bbq. Honestly, the ribs have an amazing rub and were smoked to perfection, so no sauce required. And the pork is good without it too. But if you would check your food before leaving, you might not make it all the way home before realizing the restaurant got something wrong or didn't put enough sauce for your liking. We will be back again soon. I want the sliced brisket again.

    Nothing special about the bbq or sides. Way overpriced for the amount you get. Lots of bbq places in the area cheaper with larger servings

We hired Kats Kreations in April 2025 for our May 16, 2026 wedding. Our wedding was Princess and the Frog themed, and we specifically wanted unique menu items, including smoked alligator and frog legs. After discussing our vision with the owner, Katrice ("Kat"), she assured us she could provide everything we requested, so we signed a contract. On May 2, Kat visited the venue and was provided with the necessary venue and coordinator information. Then, on May 14, she asked about arriving around noon on the wedding day to begin preparing for cocktail hour. I reminded her that cocktail hour was scheduled for 5:00 PM and dinner service for 6:00 PM, and she confirmed she would arrive accordingly. On the wedding day, I stopped by the kitchen around noon and noticed that most of the food preparation had not yet begun. Trusting that the caterer had properly planned her timeline, I focused on getting ready for the ceremony. Unfortunately, when cocktail hour began, none of the appetizers were available. Guests were left waiting while drinks were served, and my coordinator informed me that we would need to stall because the food was not ready. I was later told that communication with the catering team became difficult and that both my coordinator and members of my husband's family had to step in to address the situation. The situation only worsened during the reception. Dinner, which was scheduled to be served at 6:00 PM, was served over an hour late. By the time food was available, many guests had already left or were frustrated after waiting so long. To make matters worse, portions of the food were overcooked and burnt, which was extremely disappointing considering the amount of planning, trust, and money that had gone into the catering service. While I appreciate the effort that goes into catering a large event, the significant delays, lack of communication, and quality issues had a major impact on our wedding day and our guests' experience. When I asked for compensation, she left me on read. DO NOT HIRE BRIDES!

    On 03/25/26 I placed a pick up order on the CB app. Ordering on the app was a breeze , no issues…read more I ordered a slice of carrot cake, veggie plate( turnips, pintos, corn and fried okra), a side of fruit and I also added on one of the $5 take home meals. Upon arrival, my order was ready. I happened to look in my bag to see that there was no carrot cake. Turns out they were sold out ! Yall I was soooo disappointed! I could have left everything else behind.It would have really been nice of them to make me aware of this , as I was just thinking they just failed to put it in the bag. I was told I could get the skillet cinnamon rolls as a replacement. I declined. Naturally, I inquired about my refund since I had already paid. I was told the system would automatically refund it since they could not do it in house. Let me check my account! The other items i ordered were fine. Definitely had to doctor those turnip greens up. The side of fruit was just strawberries that were not the freshest. I haven't tried the $5 take home meal yet. I'll give CB another try because I hear that carrot cake is delicious!!!

This waitress OMG- she wanted to "rush" us to order, on menus stated store had- Salmon - when asked, did not even get but "Salmon" said-"oh, we do not have that, I really wish they would remove that flyer from the menus." My husband ordered, asked her to come back for me with the drinks. She toke order for me, when food was brought- she was literally throwing the basket of breads & shoving plates in our faces (I had a game playing on phone) barley had time to make room for her to set plate. Few minutes later brings ticket, did not see her again. I go to restroom before leaving, in there she is washing hands - looks at me, "do u guys need anything else?" Really!!! In the bathroom!!!!! I have waited tables, I would never have done that. This person acted like it was killing her to be there, & worse to TRY and be nice. Food was ok, had worse, had better. Smoke signals did not even work this time, service sucks!!!!! I am supposedly a "rewards" member, like to know - What r the rewards"? Have not seen any yet!!! Then again, we live in country. No delivery, 30 minutes minimum to go pick up, 30 minutes back home. I will microwave my own leftovers! Only stopped by on way from appt.. Really was not worth it! If could do ZERO STARS WOULD HAVE.
