I had some business out near 3 points today and I've had this unrelenting desire for green chili too. So on the way back I wondered if I could find them here. How did they know? A new item on the menu was green chili tacos. So I asked about that and the server said they also have a 3-taco special! So that's what I got. They really hit the spot. Hot and spicy! So good. Very friendly and helpful counter people. They also serve Coke products! Steady business inside. Rodolfo's has been here for years and I stop in occasionally. I want to give them the full up 5 stars but there's two things. The first is the up charge for using a credit card and the second is this horrendous fan noise in the dining area that completely kills the ambiance. read more

I love Rodolfo's and think they serve the best bean burrito in Tucson. I decided to branch out on my last visit and tried the Rudy's special, which included two rolled tacos with guacamole, a beef taco and bean tostada. Everything was delicious and I'll definitely be adding the beef taco to my order from here on out. As always, the staff was friendly and food came out fast. read more

INSULTING YOUR CUSTOMERS?! I went into the shop and ordered a ham breakfast burrito, the guy at the counter was nice enough but as I walked away to wait for my order I heard him tell the cook "La Jamon is para La Gordita". Now I am as white as can be but I speak and understand Spanish enough to know what he said. I looked up and even another Hispanic customer looked at me in shock to see if I reacted. I was so embarrassed I didn't say anything, but I couldn't believe it. Not to mention the guy at the counter was quite overweight himself, but totally unprofessional and I will never go back. How is a good place to come by and grab a quick bite. They have oppositional Mexican food from Sonora, but plenty of options. Anything you want anything you need we can definitely catch up. Definitely a divey place. Not a place for a romantic date or to come sit down and enjoy. I would recommend takeout to eat at home. Service is really fast, and everything is made to order. The food seems very fresh, very delicious. Once again definitely recommend this place for a fast place just to grab something and go. Not the best place to sit down and eat. read more

Honestly guys I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Its everything you want in your neighborhood taco shop. The food is good and the price is right. The customer service is pretty good and is always fast and friendly. I always get carry out from here as I don't live far away at all but there are some tables available for seating and often see people actually sit down and enjoy their food. The super fries are amazing and pretty much every burrito they offer is a hit. I am a very loyal and satisfied customer. read more

Had a Carne Asada Burrito for dinner this evening, and I must say it was quite good! Though it is your typical CAB that is found in most Mexican Fast Food Restaurants, this one was quite hefty, and loaded with delicious tender Carne! Ate here for lunch. Good portions of food, reasonably priced, tasty entrees. If you are in the mood for Mexican food in this part of town (Ajo & Mission) it is better than going to say, Burger King or McDonald's, also in the area. Expect to pay around $7 - $9 for combo plates which includes a fountain drink (and 1 refill: horchata is $0.90 more with no refills). My wife had the fish tacos, her favorite, and I had the carne asada tacos, and we also shared a side of cheese enchiladas. They used fresh tomatoes and onions for the pico de gallo to top off the tacos. My wife said that the fish tacos, though not the caliber of #1 Taco Fish or #2 Rubio's fish tacos, they were satisfying. My carne tacos were good, chock full of beef, almost too much, and we also tasty. The beef was slightly, slightly over done in my opinion. But still good. The cheese enchiladas were OK, as well. We both liked the refried beans and the rice. Many times you eat at a Mexican food restaurant and the beans and rice that come with your meal is mediocre. read more

Although the paint job inside is rather bad the food is very good! I ordered the taco plate first and went in the next night to order the chile rellenos. They were very good. Their sauces are very good too. The beans are the beans you crave when you go to a Mexican restaurant. The cook makes the food right there as you order it. The tortillas are made there too I think. Will be going there again and again. I want to try most of the things they have on the menu. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the interior could stand some work. read more

Stopped here one night on my way to my campsite and got a mess of food to go. After setting up camp, having a drink or three and a few puffs on a jizzy.....I finally got around to opening the bag of food. OMG!!! I don't know if it was the performance-enhancing drugs, but I *REALLY* enjoyed this food. I had a chicken taco and some super nachos, and my friend had some carne asada tacos. Checked in for breakfast, red menudo. Not too bad. Worse thing is to eat in a sit down restaurant with cheap plastic forks or spoons. Have had very good breakfast burritos from here in past, will continue to order out. However, unfortunately today, we witnessed a customer complain that her husband ordered a sausage and egg burrito and had no sausage only pieces of ham. Although his burrito was clearly marked "sausage". Young lady behind counter argued with customer that it was sausage and the lady must not know what "their sausage looks like". Clearly the two workers, lady behind counter and cook made a mistake. Instead of arguing with the customer who was correct, (as she was showing them the ham inside of the burrito), the cook should have offered to make a new burrito with egg and sausage. It would have solved the issue and kept other customers like us from having to hear this argument escalate very quickly. The front counter young lady rolled her eyes and criticized the customer in Spanish. All of us other customers didn't need to hear or see any of this, as we understood the vulgar words coming out of the employees (young lady behind counter) mouth. In the future just own up to your mistake, apologize and fix it. Unfortunately, you lost two customers maybe more and need proper customer service training. I know this establishment has been here a long time and has a lot of business but let's work on great customer service as well for all customers. read more

I went there this morning and ordered the Chorizo Special Burrito (chorizo, eggs, potato & cheese). I ate it in quarters as I watched football and I kept tasting a weird after-taste. It is 5:20pm and I'm still tasting that weird after-taste and my stomach hurts. And I have not ate anything else today. DON'T GO IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES! We went at 4:00pm and it was rather slow inside. Asked for a Vegetarian burrito and some taquitos with no guacamole as I'm allergic to avocados. Woman who took my order was nice and wrote down "no guacamole" on the order sheet. Got our food to go, got home, took four bites into my burrito and my reaction started. The burrito was FILLED with guacamole on the inside of the veggies! Had to take my emergency medication. Called the restaurant, same lady from earlier answered. Told her what happened and all she said was, "there's no manager. All I can do is replace your food". She asked the cook in Spanish if he put guacamole and all she said back to me was, "he got quiet when I asked". Didn't seem too concerned about a customer having an allergic reaction due to their error. Never ever go there if you have food allergies! read more

I am a fan. We get food from this location every once in a while. It's a Mexican fast food restaurant, so I know what I'm getting into when I go there. From the King burrito, to the rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole, the food is packed with flavor, tasty ingredients and well... grease. I enjoy the flavors of the carnitas, carne asada and shredded beef. We always take the food to go though. I don't enjoy being in the inside of the restaurant at this location. It doesn't feel like they take a lot of time to clean, and keep clean, the dining area. Tables are very worn, and there's limited seating. It smells clean, but it doesn't look clean. read more

Rodolfos taco shop is awsome!! I haven't had to many items from there but they have all been good. Me and my dad usually go every other week and get the three green chili taco plate. It comes with a soda for just 7$!! I turned him on to them about a year ago and I told him it was one of the best green chili if not the best I've ever had. Now he might enjoy them even more then me. From the flavor the spice and the tenderness all the way to the juiceness and the home made taco shells it's hands down the best taco I can get for green chili anywhere. If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely horrible. First off, the lady at the counter was using her bare hands inside the horchata dispenser. I'm not sure what she was doing but right after she stopped stirring it with her hands she poured more horchata in. Very gross. I ordered a green chili quesadilla and when I got home it had green chilis and steak and I dont eat meat. I wasnt mad, mistakes happen. When I called to tell her about it, she told me that all of their guests know their green chili automatically comes with steak and that it wasnt their fault because I should've seen the picture on the wall of the tacos that had steak mixed with the green chilis. She kept repeating that over and over and kept saying they didnt do anything wrong. I'm a server at a restaurant and I've never seen anyone treated like that. I went to Rodolfos yesterday for the first time since 2007. Still great food, I was very happy to visit again. Definitely not disappointed. I went with four stars because unfortunately the customer service isn't really the friendliest and the prices have risen. I understand prices changing as that's business but greeting customers and doing so with a smile and thanking them when leaving isn't too much to ask. This is not my favorite Rodolfo's. Sad face. Every time I go to this location they mess up something and I always take it to go so I never realize it right away. They do have delicious red menudo. They do have free tortilla chips at this location. I normally order the carne asada plate and the last time I got it was a large piece of carne asada not chopped up. Just little things have changed in the last year or so I think they changed owners and I'm not too thrilled with it anymore. read more

The food is absolutely amazing! Definately one of the hidden treasures in tucson, the burritos are monster huge (No matter what kind you order). Free chips is a plus. Ordered a carne asada torta for 4.95. The sandwich was big and delicious (meat, lettuce, avocado, pico de gallo), though the bread got a little soggy and the sandwich didn't hold together too well. But the taste more than outweighed the failure of the bread. Quick service, and your food is freshly cooked. Free chips is an added bonus. Only thing I would add is a better hot sauce collection- the sauce I got in the red container was pretty mild... Definitely recommend this place for Mexican lovers. read more

i was spending the winter in tucson and this became a regular stop. such an amazing spot, the homemade tortillas are what got me. originally from southern california, i had yet to find a good hole in the wall spot that compared. my search may have stopped here, ill be searching for places that compare to this spot now. great prices and delicious food, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. read more

We stopped here on our way to Saguaro National Park after spotting it on the map in Yelp. I am so sorry we ate here because I got sick from the tacos. This restaurant was not clean. The floor was filthy and every table was dirty with food. We had to get water from the fountain and some napkins and clean off our own table. There was a stack of flour tortillas 18 inches tall sitting out in the open by the soda fountain. Two trays of meat were sitting exposed behind the salsa bar which consisted of a large empty bowl of corn chip crumbs and a couple dribbles of old salsa in the bottom of a deep pan. The middle aged woman taking the orders could hardly be bothered to stop conversing in Spanish with her boyfriend who was leaning on the counter blocking the plastic forks and knives. I thought at first he was a customer but after about five minutes of waiting I finally interrupted their conversation to place my order. He stayed there the entire time we were in the restaurant and kept the worker distracted. One customer even had to chase down another customer in the parking lot to get his food that the worker had mistakenly given to the wrong person. That's how distracted she was. The food servings were large but over half of that was shredded lettuce and shredded cheese that topped every plate no matter what you ordered. I ate the daily special combo of 3 tacos (that made me sick) and a small drink. I had to go back and remind the worker about the small drink since she forgot. My daughter ordered the cheese enchiladas. When she uncovered them below the mountain of shredded lettuce she found the enchiladas were cold in the middle. I guess the microwave wasn't working. Trust me, this place is truly forgettable. There is another Mexican restaurant across the street that must be better than Rodolfo's. read more
