Service was good and people were nice. Food was so greasy it was hard to eat. I had a bean and shredded beef burrito and it was dripping grease while eating it. My friend has a chimichanga which was far worse and she basically didn't even eat any of it. Prices were fine, but probably won't return unless I'm in a pinch. read more

I'm not a huge Nico's fan I don't know if they're individually owned obviously different managers different cooks but my carnitas taco was made for a queen I know God was seriously I was already guilty to spend much for just one taco. These days we're lucky if they let you use bathrooms. I really had to go lol By the time I was out my food was ready. The salsita was picante and tasty I hate it when it has heat and no flavor this had flavor, heat and spice. The ambience was cute not fancy. This was going to be a 5 star review... I got off work at USPS right behind Nicos and was dying to try Nicos since driving past it everyday. Got my breakfast burrito home so I could add my own avocado (California style) took pic on my plates and then cut in half, took another pic before taking a bite. The tortilla was so yummy i was chewing and thinking how I would emphasize how good the tortilla makes it rank better then the others I've tried moving back to Tucson. BUT then, to my horror .... Great service! That's it. Food is "Blah". Inside the restaurant is fly infested. I was trying to enjoy my lunch and I could not get the flies to stop landing on my food and myself. The food is always fresh. The burritos are pretty good size, probably a little larger than a lot of places. The prices are also decent, usually about 5-6 bucks for a burrito which is usual. Every burrito I've received was delicious so I won't go into detail about a certain one. Try them all lol. The horchata is my favorite, the flavor is rich. The only thing I don't like is that it's usually filled to the top with ice, so a large is really like a small :/ make sure you say light ice! But the food keeps me coming back. read more

This specific Nico's holds dear to my heart. When I lived in Tucson for a year, I frequented this location for super fries, a wildcat-must. I ordered super fries so often that the workers there deemed me as, "super-fries-girl", a nickname that I'm sure I shouldn't be proud of. But man those are some good fries. Drive-Thru is not as updates as the other Nico's Mexican restaurants. Wait times were about average 5-10 mins for a steak, egg, cheese burrito and a shredded beef taco. My total was about $9.50 for just the two items and personally I feel that it is overpriced for what I got. The taco was average sized but the burrito was disproportionate with meat, egg, cheese ratio. Typically most Nico's around town are not frugal with amount of meat they put into their burrito. This particular place hardly included the steak and for the price I paid; it's not worth $7 for it. Nacho Supreme: Delish! I just popped by for a carb-craving crazy need for a Nacho Supreme. I'm used to getting this massive morsels at burrito shops for about 8-10 bucks... this one was just around 8 bucks total (though the price on the menu said 6.99, but why quibble?) It's loaded with corn chips, beans, carne asada, guacamole, sour cream, and holy moly a lot more. I've had bigger portions elsewhere but this one is quite satisfying. This nico's is the only one i go to in tucson, and usually the food is amazing but recently the taste of the food is not what it used to be. I purchased 4 ground beef tacos and a California burrito for $15.35. The burrito which is usually full of meat and flavor....was mostly potatoes n cheese and the tacos were completely flavorless..... And I can't say for sure but I think they may even be using canned meat because my tacos had a mixture of pink n brown "beef"?.... Maybe its new management or something but the man that used to work the drive thrust always made sure The food was fresh.....not sure what happened. Won't be back there for a while. Oh, Nico's. Your greasy, cheesey, beany, guacamole-y goodness draws me in time-after-time. This seriously is a Tucson staple and I happen to work near this location. From the outside it doesn't look like much, it actually kind of looks like you might get mugged on your way from the dirt lot to the door, but give it a chance.
