Menudo and Barbacoa
Crystal C.

Take all my stars!!! Oh my gosh the menudo and barbacoa here is phenomenal!!! I ordered the small menudo but I swear it went on for days !! The taste was amazing!! The Barbacoa taco was filled with delicious meat !! I got the little muffin thing with the cherry for dessert and it too was amazing !! The young man behind the counter was so sweet and kind! He provided great service !!!! I will definitely come back here when I am in town!!!

The restaurant is clean and the service was friendly. The wait time was a little long. We ordered 2 menudos, 1 pozole, 6 barbacoa tacos and a barbacoa torta. The barbacoa was good but not the best of I've had. The pozole was delicious, spicy and hot! The menudo broth was better the meat, but that's personal preference. The barbacoa tacos are charged as burritos. The "tacos" are $3.50 each in mini corn tortillas. I would come back for the pozole.

Wow. I'm not sure what to say. I had the Chilaquiles Verdes when I typically just go for Heuvos Rancheros. I'm not sure I can go back. Sunday morning and the place is packed it's also a fantastic place to bring kids to have a bakery treat while you get the good stuff. Anyway, the Chilaquiles Verdes was excellent and nicely spicy! This is home cooking, not some fancy Tex-mex. And, you just can't beat the prices.

Their barbacoa burrito was okay, I've had better. The menudo has a great level of spicy but it was SUPER GREASY and about 7 homily pieces. Their pumpkin empanadas are great!!!

Spicy menudo for breakfast on Saturday.

The food was very delicious but a tad more expensive than their competitors... Breakfast was good as well and more reasonably priced.

5/5 wow this place seriously impressed us!…read more I ordered the crab cake Benedict with crispy potatoes. The crab cake actually tasted like crab (not filler), perfectly poached eggs, and the crispy potatoes could not have been better. My kid ordered the French toast, and didn't use any syrup (she normally drenches everything!) It was naturally sweet and flavorful all on its own. She finished the entire plate with sausage and potatoes. We ordered two glasses of fresh-squeezed oj, and it was legit fresh and very reasonably priced - so many places overcharge for fresh squeezed juice and this place has much better quality for way less dollars. The service was excellent - multiple check ins without hovering. The staff really paid attention, and the patio seating was perfect, they set up the umbrella for us, and it was quiet and peaceful - a completely different atmosphere from inside. For $40, we got a generous amount of high-quality food and cleaned our plates. We will absolutely be back. Easily one of the best breakfast/brunch spots we've tried in the metro

Definitely check in early and make a reservation because there's a line of people out the door. Good but I wouldn't have waited otherwise. Chilaquiles were why I was in the mood for and it seemed to be their specialty! I got them and the food was super delicious. It was good but I do think that for the portion should be bigger for the price. Filling but if I wasn't about to go on a hike I'd have liked more. But liked I said, quality was pretty good. On the inside, everything was neat and clean. Plenty of parking since it's in a shopping center. Definitely recommend. One of the best Mexican brunch spots in the DFW.

We were able to go to a coffee shop and relax and do our thing, and once we got to 23rd in line we decided to drive out to the restaurant. We got there right in time. We were in the parking lot when the text came in. We went in and our table was being set!!! I came for the brunch. My typical brunch is a pancake and potatoes, which I got one of each. Obviously they specialize in Mexican food, so my foods were simple and fine. Not the best in the world. My boyfriend did get a Mexican dish and said it was definitely worth coming here. I may be back because my boyfriend loved it. Mine was just ok.

Young, high-energy staff and everybody was friendly. I had an adorable little waitress who was possibly high as a kite. But flower high, not the bad stuff. Honestly, it worked in everybody's favor. She was upbeat, extremely polite, and got my order right. I'm happy. The menu is one of those long double-sided laminated things with probably 50+ breakfast choices. Everybody should be able to find something. Prices looked to range around $10-17 per entrée, and the portions were solid. They also had a bunch of turkey and chicken sausage options for non-pork eaters like myself. I ordered the chicken fried steak with hash browns, scrambled cheese eggs with onions mixed into the eggs and hash browns, plus two pancakes. Around $15. Pardon the food pics. I forgot to take them until I had already loaded everything up with every sauce known to man: ketchup, hot sauce, gravy, syrup... probably a few others. I definitely recommend this place. A gem.

A little disappointed by the coffee menu. Don't expect Starbucks lol ! I had a latte that seems mostly made of milk. Not terrible but not the best. Nice and crispy in all the right places. Nothing to frown at especially for the price x

The restaurant is in an old, lovely Victorian house that includes a boutique hotel and spa. Small dining rooms and a large outdoor patio for dining. Salmon Benedict was two pieces of filet on oversized English muffin, well prepared with side of potatoes. Crabcake Benedict was served sans muffin. Same side of potatoes.
