We went for brunch and didn't have to wait for a table, even though it was quite crowded. Our server was friendly and on top of things, especially checking on ingredients for our dietary restrictions. I was excited to see the pesto chicken power bowl and loved it! The pesto flavor isn't overwhelming and was balanced out by the tanginess of the tomatoes. The chimichurri steak & eggs hash was also yummy. Stepping inside to a lovely, spacious dining room and surprised to see an outdoor section as well! Everything was clean and there's a nice calm atmosphere. We had a large party after a graduation this morning, so it was a bit of a wait, but not unbearable. The staff were very understanding anf communicated to us the entire wait, even letting us know our options. They seated most of us on a long table and the rest of us in a separate table right behind the majority. I honestly think this might be the busiest location in the DFW area. It was so packed. I put a group of 5-6 on the waiting list and starting time said 45 mins to an hour. But the time we got there we were still probably waited almost 20-30 mins to be seated. The check in process was really easy. I just wish this location had more adequate seating for larger parties. It was raining and cold but since it was taking a while to get seating inside for our group we opted out to sit outside since it was covered. Another party of 2 outside were being served quickly so we decided to do it. We sat outside on the patio. It only had two heaters that weren't blowing very strong. It did take a little time for the hostess to come out to our table. I got the Tri-Fecta with scrambled eggs, french toast, and upgraded to million dollar bacon to try for the first time. Also got a side of the million dollar potatoes. I wasn't a fan of the million dollar bacon unfortunately, or the potatoes. Now the million dollar potatoes I've had better at another location. I hadn't been to First Watch in a while. I noticed that they made huge changes in the portions and presentation of the food. I ordered the Trifecta breakfast platter. Although the food was not my favorite, I can't say enough about our sever, Brandon. He was exceptional. Also, the manager on duty, Dylan was superb. They were both very kind, professional, and deeply caring about making sure I still had a great experience when I expressed the differences I noticed in the food from my last visit. They both delivered first class care, and made me want to come back again to try other items on the menu. read more

The taste never misses, never fails. Whether I'm eating a regular like a huge pancake (multigrain, chocolate chip, regular, you name it!), or trying seasonal items, the flavor of the dishes at First Watch is always exceptional. I have no qualms with them. Except maybe the sadness I feel when the seasons change and seasonal items that I've come to love have to go away. Oh! I always get the potatoes on the side with my meals. Had a good experience (as always)! This was my first time at the Grand Prairie location. Although the wait was long, the food came out not too long after we ordered. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I got the Honey Chipotle Chicken Hash - great quantity and good taste. It was on the speciality Fall Menu (which is about to end soon!). The million dollar bacon was, of course, sweet and hearty. This place was just kind of disappointing. The food was expensive, which wouldn't be an issue if it was good, but it was kind of just bland. It took a very long time to come out. We ordered unsweet teas, and our waitress brought us sweet tea instead and then took a really long time to fix it after we were done eating we had to wait probably 15 minutes for a check. We were sitting outside on the patio and it just felt like we were forgotten about because it seemed like that was the place where all the employees took their breaks to eat and they forgot there was actually customers out there. read more

Celebrated a birthday the food was just ok over priced and I asked my eggs to be cooked over medium and when I received them the white was still runny now I like a soft yoke but the white has to be cooked and I asked for syrup and it took the young lady around 5 minutes by then my pancakes were cold but she finally came back to correct me about the eggs per the kitchen but my thing is just cook them the way I like and stop schooling me about the eggs telling me that I really should have ask for medium hard but I don't like my yoke hard so I'm not sure if I will be visiting them again just a waste of money with the bad service I could have done a better job at home only thing we're good was the potatoes read more

I went on a Friday in the middle of November and they were more busy than I anticipated, but were quick to make sure people were greeted and sat. The staff was friendly and ready to help get me seated right away when I sat on the bench waiting for a friend to join me. I ordered the cinnamon chip pancake meal they had since it caught my eye online and I'd definitely say it was worth it for a sweet tooth. I also had a mimosa to celebrate my birthday and had no regrets of getting birthday brunch there! I ordered the million dollar bacon ~ I was so good the sweet and the spicy just goes together taste just like when you pour syrup over your pancakes etc and get some on the bacon. A few of my friends decided to do a Friendsgiving at the last minute. So we decided to try first watch, which was my first time. We arrived, almost close to closing at 1:45, which closing is like 2:30pm. Our waitress was so pleasant even though it was almost close to closing. She was not rushing us, but she also made sure we understood what time the kitchen close, and when we have to have our orders in to be serviced. I wasn't that hungry, so I did just get like a kids meal which was not frowned upon. The French toast, sausage and bacon with the fruit on the side was good!! Lol next time I want to get the waffle I heard so many great things about their waffles. But I thought it was gonna be like a healthy brunch spot but it was actually really good so definitely I will be coming back. The service was fantastic. At First Watch today my waffle was crispy and browned beautifully. I requested a sliced banana to accompany the waffle. Appreciate both service and food on this day. Tea glass was refilled quickly. Same with water bottle and glasses. Kale yeah was refreshing and just plain delicious, yeah! On this afternoon our wait time was an hour this after our check in with the kind and warm host! He clearly stated wait time would be an hour no less. He was spot on. But, we did not have much else planned for the afternoon. Happy to return. we should plan a Saturday visit not Sunday! read more

I came here with my Dad today who is visiting from out of state. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait which was nice. The food was good and there were a lot of choices. The waitress was nice and made sure everything was out and how we wanted it. The only issue I have with this place is the seating. Everything is communal and I just don't feel like having brunch with another random family of 4 lol. On top of this since everyone is so smashed together you can't really hear yourself speak. All in all I understand trying to increase the profit margins, but at some point you are taking away quality for quantity. read more

The hostesses will let you know if they need your number and will text once a table is ready if there is a wait. I went on my birthday and a regular Saturday. The donuts are delicious starter, sweet and warm. I've always ordered hot tea so not sure about any other drinks. The restaurant is crowded but very clean and the seating is roomy. There are Weber's who greet you as they pass and quickly approach to take drink and appetizer orders to help your party to begin. The restaurant doesn't seem to offer rewards or birthday freebies but maybe in the future. My hubby was not a huge fan but I like it and will probably return for a solo date. read more

A business breakfast was a very nice and surprising dining experience. If grits are on the menu, I proceed with caution when ordering and have at least 5 questions for the server about how they are prepared and the consistency. Everyone ordered grits and I am glad I did. Even though they were stone ground grits, they were prepared perfectly- not gritty and grainy. They were creamy and tender, very smooth on the palate. I can't recall what everyone else ordered, but I had the salmon frittata, field greens, sour dough toast, and a side of the million-dollar bacon. The service was good and the server was attentive. The frittata was flat like a crepe' and I was expecting something thicker, w/more volume; more like a quiche, w/out the creme. I dont even think it was as thick as an omlet. It was a little different, but tasty w/the fresh herbs, salmon, and veggies topped with a chive creme. The bacon was plentiful (4 pieces) and a bit salty but very flavorable w/hints of sweet maple and peppery smoke. They forgot the dressing for the greens so I didnt eat it. Out where we live, we've not had much available to us in the way of breakfast spots that you would call trendy, healthy, or innovative. First Watch, headquartered in Florida, has well over 400 restaurants. Originally co-owners of Le Peep, the breakfast/brunch/lunch concept at First Watch is very much the same; but with an immense menu plus cocktails. We ventured out to a relatively new First Watch in Grand Prairie in Epic West Towne Crossing Shopping Mall on a weekday. You could see that they'd had a tremendous lunch rush; the place was still pretty full of people. We were first seated over by the entrance to the kitchen; but I could see that would be too noisy and I asked to move. I found a spot up front in a wooden booth. Our waitress was lovely and answered all our questions. I did find out upon checkout that the coffee is unlimited. I didn't see that anywhere. They bring you a carafe of water to the table with your menus. First-timers have a lot to take in with the menu. If you are certain that you want a more traditional breakfast, that will narrow your choices; but otherwise there is so much going on. We don't drink, so we could skip the cocktails; but they have many other beverages and juices to choose from. They have every kind of breakfast item imaginable, eggs, breakfast bowls, grains and breads and waffles and pancakes and if that's not what you want, they have lunch. I selected the most delicious egg sandwich. It could have been constructed better; but the ingredients were wonderful. The Elevated Egg Sandwich had an over easy egg with bacon, Gruyere cheese, Avocado, mayo with lemon dressed arugula on a Brioche Bun. ($11.95) It came with some perfectly cooked and seasoned big dice fried potatoes. My husband had the select 2 option for $9.99. He choose a 1/2 Roast Beef & Havarti sandwich that I had a bite of - thick, fresh tasting and scrumptious! The cup of the soup of the day was a white bean chili. It was very good. We shared the muffin of the month - Blueberry. ($2.85) The Blueberries in this muffin were huge! Moist, it was tender and held together well; but served room temp, so the butter I asked for didn't melt. Coffee was $3.50 a cup and brought to the table in a carafe - exactly two cups. This First Watch has one large main room with tall ceilings. A green banquette separates part of the room; with mostly tables and chairs throughout and a few large wooden booths along one wall. There's a small covered outdoor patio on the north side of the building. It's new, clean, fresh and busy. The food was served hot. Service was satisfactory. The menu is incredible in terms of variety of offerings. It's a little too noisy for me and maybe a little too franchise-y; but it's interesting and has healthy options and is in a good location for us. We'll be back. read more

Our local FW in Stuart FL is never a disappointment, worth the wait time, AND First Watch great coffee comes to the table in a carafe so we can help ourselves as desired. Morning Meditation drink or any of the other non-coffee options delicious. Trifecta and Chickichanga are my husband's repeat faves, but I am determined to try every dish as each offers a new flavor treat, but I am also stuck now on the quinoa bowls - with eggs or with chicken. NO complaints on service either! Great staff devoted to each customer! Salad dressings superb! Multigrain bread! Healthy ingredients all around. Even if you don't like bacon, you'll love it at FW. I have been to first watch a few times and over all the food has been good any time I've eaten. Recently the first two times I've gone I've ordered the power wrap and got a side of the seasoned potatoes. The wrap is great and the service is top notch; the issue here is that their seasoned potatoes have been undercooked both of my previous visits and it's been disappointing to say the least. Instead of being fork tender, they've been relatively hard and not cooked properly. Hopefully they can fix the issue soon since they've hit on their other menu items. Future recommendations would be to select another side until the potatoes can be cooked properly. read more
