My husband is a golf enthusiast, & we just bought a house in the area. I came with him a few weeks ago because he was looking for a divot tool, and a couple of other things. He was super excited to check it out here. Customer service was seriously lacking. My husband had a question, & there was a guy in the back who completely ignored my husband as he greeted him, & was about to ask him a question. He heard us, because he looked our way, & turned right around. Thankfully, we found another employee who was super nice. He's the Only reason they're getting 2 stars. He ended up getting what he needed, but we didn't shop further, & we won't be back. I worked in customer service for the Longest time, I was shocked by the lack of education of this employee. Went in for an iron fitting. The young gentleman with the glasses didn't seem interested in actually helping find what's best for my swing nor giving me any advise or recommendations to find the best fit for me. Ask him if shaft weight mattered he told me no, asked him what trajectory shaft I should get and he responded the stiffness if the only thing that matters, didn't set up the system to see which iron I was more consistent with. After 15mins, taking maybe 20 swings with 3 different irons he asked me if I wanted to place an order, I felt discouraged because I didn't feel it was an actual fitting since he didn't seem like he cared. I want to say this Roger Dunn location may have upgraded their facilities? I don't recall this store being this big nonetheless, this is absolutely a plus for them. I came in wanting to upgrade my irons and was looking into getting TaylorMade stealth. I was greeted by a young associate by the name of Michael. He was more than happy to share his knowledge. They have 2 bays it's not as big and some of their other stores but its sufficient for the area. Everyone was courteous as to not hog a bay, we all know that guy. Anywho... I needed to have the lies on my irons checked, and the golf shop where I normally have this service done was a casualty of the pandemic. So my remaining options around the IE are Golf Galaxy and Roger Dunn. Because I have had work done before at Roger Dunn, both in Santa Ana and in Rancho Cucamonga, I went to Roger Dunn. I'm an unusual case, needing to have my clubs bent to 3 degrees flat from standard, but they had no trouble doing it. It wasn't a rush job, so it took about five days for them to complete. read more

I shop here all the time. Maybe too much (hahaha). This time I went here to double check the lie angle on my irons. Greg ended up helping me for over an hour, trying every club head and shaft combo we could think of. Ended up with amazing numbers from a Tylor Made P790 with custom shafts. I wasn't even looking for a Taylor Made product, but couldn't be happier. The guys at this shop are great and always willing to help. Manny can be a little grouchy but is usually helpful as well. Whoever was working the front desk today was super nice. I purchased some used callaway irons and I'm excited to try them out. Got them at about half off the new purchase price. Went to Roger Dunn today, compared a couple of drivers on their launch monitor and made the purchase. Very helpful staff. In and out so easily. I started playing golf in 2014. I started shopping at Roger Dunn's in Rancho since. Let me start with Manny he's always accommodating and always looking out for the customer and very fair. The assistant manager Matt is honestly a resemblance of Manny and they are both running the store in the same page. Adam is my main guy. He's the best club maker in town and knows exactly what he is doing. He understands what you want and fits you to what you want. I moved to Oxnard for 3 years and i always drove to Rancho to buy my golf stuff. These guys just deserve my business. Love coming here and i will continue to shop here. Absolutely terrible service, won't be returning to this store. From the manager Manny being condescending and practically accusing me of trying to scam them and steal a shaft, to the shop workers loudly talking about how terrible the customers' swings are that they've seen, this store isn't people friendly and doesn't deserve your business. I went in to get fit for a driver shaft, explaining to a worker that I was recently gifted a driver but wanted to find the right shaft as the one I got wasn't stiff enough. Never once did I insinuate that I got the driver from Roger Dunn because I honestly had no clue where my fiancé bought it from. That said, the worker offered to swap out my shaft for another one, free of charge, with no questions asked. I asked him if he was sure, and he assured me it was no issue. However, when we went to the register the manager rudely questioned me asking me if I bought the driver there and I tried to explain my situation but he was insistent on looking up MY number and information instead of my fiancé's... the person who actually bought the club. I mentioned this multiple times but he continued to ignore me. Upon looking me up in the system, he said I'd never bought anything from Roger Dunn before, which is a lie because I bought irons at the Santa Ana location (which I still have the physical receipt for) just two years prior. In the most condescending tone I've heard, he then said, "Well, if you would have spent a ton of money here, I would have done this for you no problem, but you haven't even spent anything. You probably shop at (Golf) Galaxy or online," essentially calling me a liar to my face. After a couple more comments about me not spending enough money at his store, he then attempted to save face and offered to give me store credit for my driver but I'd have to pay the difference for the shaft swap (mind you, the same exact shaft in a different flex), a $70 difference. I kindly denied the offer because I was under the impression that the swap would be free as mentioned by the worker. After doing so, I went back to hit MY driver and shaft, which they tagged, in the hitting bay for a couple more minutes. Upon leaving, he made a scene about "checking the driver" to "make sure" it was mine, even asking another worker to check the shaft just in case. Again, it wasn't what he did, but how he did it. He was rude and made it obvious that he thought I was attempting to steal a shaft. I've been to plenty of golf stores before, hitting my clubs and theirs, and have never felt so disrespected and profiled. I will not be returning to this store and think that Manny was completely unprofessional and out of line. This is likely why people talk their business to "Galaxy" or elsewhere. read more
