I had been having major transmission problems for several weeks. I had taken the car to several…read moreother transmission shops that ran codes on it while I waited and I was out in an hour! However, after reading bad reviews on the other companies, I didn't trust them to do the repairs. I read reviews on Marshalls and they were highly recommended. They sounded like an honest company that could be trusted to diagnose and repair my transmission. I took my car there on a Tuesday morning and had to leave it. When I didn't hear anything by the 2nd day, I tried calling and nobody answered the phone. So I left a message and nobody returned my call either! I had to ask a friend (that lived near the shop) to go check on my car. The receptionist told him that they were running codes on my car right then (Wed. afternoon). So I expected a diagnosis Wednesday but nobody called to tell me anything. I waited all the next day (Thurs) and still no phone call and no diagnosis! By this time, they had my car 3 days. This was my only transportation (they knew that) and I have no family to help me. I was out of groceries and had to walk 2 miles (at 81) to get my bills at the post office. I knew this could not go on any longer, so I left a message that I would pick my car up Friday (4th day). I had to hire a ride there, and when I picked up my car I was not even given a piece of paper - NO DIAGNOSIS, NO NOTHING! Unbelievable! I did without any transportation for days for absolutely nothing! Would never go there again and certainly do NOT recommend!!!

The manager, Michael, allayed my apprehension, assuring me that since the transmission had to be pulled anyway, that everything would be inspected and repaired or replaced. They replaced two seals and had it running like NEW in one day. They could have replaced EVERY part in it and I really would have expected that. They are honest, almost to a fault, I'll NEVER take a transmission anywhere else. THERE ARE NO REBUILT TRANSMISSIONS AVAILABLE FOR A 1997 GEO PRIZM and I'm certain that Michael was aware of that little complication, yet he charged me a hundred dollars less than what he had quoted me. This ALONE should speak volumes about this company. If you're a veteran, be sure you tell Michael that up front.

We have become loyal customers to an honest and reputable team of mechanics at Thomas Auto. I honestly couldn't ask for better. They are the BEST. I truly appreciate them especially having little ones to haul around on road trips. Nothing makes a parent feel safer than having a roadworthy vehicle and they always make sure we are. My Nissan Titan was totaled and I bought a 2022 Subaru Ascent. I went in and spoke to Dylan and asked would they be able to service it or should I take it to the dealership. He said they would be able to service it and said if it's something they cannot then they can make recommendations like the dealership. They service our 2019 RAM 2500, my sisters 2018 Toyota 4Runner, my nephews old Mazda truck and my nieces Hyundai Sonata. We love Thomas Auto. Thank you guys for being a great team! We have lived here for one year now and they continue to be honest and reliable. We get our oil changes done here on our Nissan Titan and our Ram 2500. Every time I take a road trip, which is often, I have them do an inspection to make sure I'm road worthy. Once again, today, I received outstanding service. I'm confused how this business has a good rating I have had 2 interactions with them and both…read morewere negative. my son had his 1998 civic towed up there in hopes of replacing or rebuilding his engine. after a few days we go up there to see what was up. they informed us that they don't do bottom end engine work. why do you have the word specialist in your title if you can't rebuild that motor? they also informed us that they cannot find a replacement engine for the car. it's kinda funny that the shade tree mechanic was able to locate a motor fir the car in a couple days. the guy in the office recommended a couple places for my son to look for his own engine. I'm confused as to why these "specialists" couldn't look at the places they are telling him about. we don't work on cars. if we are trying to pay you to put a motor in I don't think it's unreasonable at all to expect you, the business to find a dam motor. they didn't want to work on his car. they were trying to talk him into scrapping the civic and getting another car because the labor alone was going to be so high. o yesterday they had his car towed they called him a couple times and he missed the calls mostly due to the fact that he works third shift. when I callled to give the so called manager Nick a piece of my mind he starts with all this"we are a business and we contacted him several times and told him what was up". I asked why they didn't call me. We have the same name, they have my number because I got an alternator installed the month before that they got right in the second try. isnt it amazing how the tow company didn't have any trouble ag all getting ahold of him. they got him in the first try! in my interactions they only care about their convenience and not much about the customers. we came up there together in the car they fixed for me on the second try and didn't identify us as father and son and that would have been the perfect time to tell him they are too lazy to find him an engine and if he can't find one by 30 days they are going to tow his car. if yiu are having car trouble save yourself the hassle and take your car towed Lerch's. they gave great prices and are well worth the wait. I wouldn't let these people work on a go cart after these 2 interactions.

He worked…read moreon our 2012 Hyundai Elantra Touring when it was having a noise from the passenger side of the motor (Belt drive area). Initially he thought it was the alternator making the noise and replaced it. Once replaced the noise was still happening, and he found out that it was the water pump. He called immediately and let us know that it wasn't the alternator (didn't charge for anything to do with it), and that the water pump wouldn't be available until the following day. Very honest and up front. Although he is in halls now , I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.

These guys are great, been going here for years now and they're always willing to check out little…read morethings for us on a moment's notice and open longer than most shops. Their style is more casual than corporate and that is great for some people and makes others nervous if that's what you're used to, but they're all about fixing anything that is a true mechanical issue or safety hazard, but won't ever push you on anything cosmetic or non-essential, which is great if you're not a millionaire with a car budget to match! They're all much more into doing than talking at this shop, so if I had to give constructive criticism I'd say communicating more about the car's issues/options would make people feel better, but if you have to choose between a mechanic that will talk to you or one who will just fix what's wrong at a very fair/low price, I'll take the latter every single day. :)

I was pulled over at the gas station to the left of Express Auto Center trying to fill my tire with…read moreair. It was noticeably flat but i could not find any punctures so i assumed it could be refilled with the air pump machine. Well, the machine would fill my other 3 tires but not the one that was flat. I even had a nice group of people test my pressure and they believed there must be a puncture. I was honestly in a pretty bad situation. Had to be somewhere pretty soon, and couldn't really afford to drive on it and ruin the rims as it was super close to being rim on pavement. The group that checked my gauge mentioned i should try to walk over to Express Auto to see if they could patch it. I walked in, and was immediately greeted by the owner and the friendly workers. I explained I was stuck on the other side of their shop. Without hesitation, he sent me an awesome guy to come look at my car with me. He jacked up my wheel at the air pump and literally carried my wheel back with him to the store. The whole time I was there they never tried to sell me on anything and I could tell they genuinely wanted to help. After only like 10 minutes with no appointment, the man who helped me with my tire walked back over to my car and explained that the tire i had mustve been sealed wrong because it was leaking air. There were no punctures so I wouldnt have been able to figure it out. He said that he tested it and resealed it with some adhesive and made sure it did not continue to deflate. Jacked up the car, and put my tire back on. The whole time I felt like i was a hassle because they did not have to help me at all really. I go back to the store to thank them and see how much it would cost and the owner tells me that I am good he does not want any payment...I couldnt believe it. How friendly and helpful they were, let alone that he wouldnt even charge me? I returned to the store to try and give him at least some cash because it was so helpful and i greatly appreciated everyone there. He refused. He said to give it to some of those who may be in more need. Honestly made my day and reminded me there are still good people in this world.
