I booked an appointment online and then I had to unfortunately cancel the next day. When I called to cancel the lady who answered at first said that it was less than 24 hours notice. I called at 11:48 a.m. and my appointment was for 1:00 p.m. the next day, which I pointed out. And THEN she said the cancellation policy is at least 48 hours advance notification. Really? I went back to check their website and nowhere on their website says that I need to cancel 48 hours in advance. Things happen - life happens, last minute. bad experience overall. i was convinced by my stylist to use a treatment with chemicals and was told this would create a certain outcome it did not. I was open to rescheduling and then 3 different members on the staff were blatantly dishonest, saying they never lied about the treatment outcome. I asked multiple times to speak to management only to find out days into my request they never alerted management, and then I was promised a refund which never came. they haven't answered me in weeks and I ultimately had to contest with my credit card. very surprising how many people lied to me. would never recommend to anyone. read more

I got an awesome deal to come here on the app called Pulsd for a cut and blow out. Gina was my hairdresser, and she did an awesome job! My hair clearly needed some help, and she was able to make it look fabulous. She gave me a hydrating treatment as well and recommended products for me to use. Gina also explained a plan for future visits and treatments, which was really helpful. The vibe of the hair studio is really cute, and they even offer wine which I thought was fun! [UPDATE] 08/07/2024: I was contacted by Rogue House more than a week later, despite being told I would be contacted the next day. I ended paying an additional $170 at another salon to fix the color and damage in time for the wedding. Rogue House finally called me and offered me a refund only for what I paid there. They offered me a do-over, but it was 10 days late. Customer service skills are disappointing. Will not be coming back here again. (07/21/2024) Fees: I purchased a Pulsd voucher for a full balayage, haircut, blowout, and 20% discount off next visit ($165). I did not ned a haircut and I let the stylist know I would forgo it. I will share that since my color needed a toner (which turned out to be an additional charge--not listed in voucher), she offered to replace that in lieu of haircut. Another hidden fee was the gloss, which was outside of the terms of the voucher and was told it was required, and I was charged at the end of my visit ($55). Costs or need for toner/gloss were neither mentioned in voucher ($100+). With these added costs, this is not really a deal and would have been a regular balayage appointment at many salons in the area. Hair appointment: My appointment felt rushed and did not meet the look I was hoping for. While my stylist seemed kind and professional, she seemed rushed and all over the place. I went to show her reference pictures to get her thoughts, she immediately asked me to pick just one, and did not discuss it further. (I was going for deep chocolate brown to lighten up my dark hair). She also did not seem to be timing the toner right, it was a bit sporadic. When it came to unveil the color, she explained the salon lighting does not help see the tone correctly so she quickly took me outside and said, "What do you think? It's beautiful right! Oh, and just so you know, we don't offer do-overs because of new salon policy so if you like it now that's great." Between the fees, rushing, her comments, all of the above made me feel really pressured and I did not feel I could give her feedback about my look and felt obligated to agree with her (she was also dealing with another client at the time). The color is really more of a redder/orange tone--something I specifically requested I didn't want. Now back in my apartment, the coloring does not match the pictures and we can see some pieces that are blotchy and red/orange and brassy, particularly when I pull my hair back in a ponytail. There is nothing dark chocolate brown or "subtle" about this. Between the fees and coloring (I had virgin hair, by the way, I had been growing it out for four years), I am saddened by this visit. I have a wedding on Saturday and now have to figure out how to fix this in time. I was told I would get a callback, yet never did. read more

Hands down, one of the best haircut and color experiences I've had in decades (and that includes salon experiences overseas, that hair color took over 10 hours and my back was killing me).  I was very fortunate to have found Rachel, who posted a need for a hair model for cut and color today. She was beyond kind and accommodating. She worked with me every step of the way. I've been a hair model for stylists before and students at different beauty schools; I've never had this much of a say in what I was getting before.  Rachel gave me the hair cut that I had found online and even tweaked it a little to my preference. It's summer... so a light and layered hairstyle, with body, movement and just fluidity ..is God send. I was born with black hair and bleaching usually dries out the hair like tumbleweed. Honestly, I was expecting the same after today's color when I first walked in. But to my amazement, my hair still felt soft ... I don't know what salt bae magic she sprinkled on me today, but man, do I freaking love what she did for me today. And from hair cut, to bleaching, applying and then waiting for the hair color to saturate (while performing the balayage technique), plus she made me felt like a star with the photos and quick video clips for a reel; all of that was under 5 hours and Ieft feeling like a million bucks. I'm not sure how this place has 5 stars on Yelp. I came in for a hair cut and this is the hair cut I got. Extremely choppy, not blended at all, the hair stylist was in a rush. It has been over a year since I have gotten a haircut, and almost 2 years since I have been to the salon to color my hair (I use Overtone Extreme Pink coloring conditioner to maintain the color I do have). So, I decided to purchase a Pulsd deal at this salon for haircut, full head of highlights, and blowout. I made an appointment of Sunday morning and had the whole place to myself. The salon is small, cute and clean. My hairdresser was Mariya, and she was lovely and very knowledgeable about hair, particularly color. First, I showed photos of the cut (long layers) and color I desired. Before applying color to my hair, Mariya cut my strands to the length I wanted, then started the coloring process. I found out that highlights are just lightening, not really for depositing color, so in order to get the long lasting vibrant red I wanted, Mariya explained I would need to add color on top of the highlights, which would be double process. This was only an additional $50, so I decided to go for it. We decided to do balayage underneath, because it is easier to maintain than highlights. Mariya painted strands of my hair effortlessly, and they turned a nice blondish hue. I had to wait for a while to get my hair to be a uniform color, because the pinkish dye at the bottom part of my hair was shining through. When that was done, Mariya washed out it out, and hand mixed the deeper red, almost burgundy tone for my roots, then a brilliant Ariel mermaid / red velvet vibes color for the rest of my tresses. Mariya expertly and evenly applied the color throughout. After the color set, my hair was washed, Mariya started to cut my hair and blow-dried it to continue working on it. The cut turned out nice, with multiple layers, and when done, she curled my hair beautifully, which really brought out the haircut and color. I loved the gorgeous red color, along with a few strands of lighter pink mixed in. Mariya took some photos of me with the professional ring light and they came out looking great, really showcasing my new dazzling red locks. I needed to be out of the place at a certain time, and Mariya did an excellent job accommodating my request, while working quickly, yet carefully. TL;DR: If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Everything about my experience at Rogue House was top tier, from the warm and welcoming ambience to the incredible stylists. I can't wait to be back for my next appointment already. After not having a salon haircut since the pandemic, I was in need of serious help. Rachell gave me expert advice on how to cut and style my hair, and recommended products that I can already tell are helping my hair feel healthier and stronger. We worked together on a cut & color plan and she gave me the best cut I've had in literally my whole life. I have so much trust in her with my hair already . Rosalia was the brightest, cheeriest stylist ever! She gave me the most beautiful, natural lived-in balayage that exactly mirrored the inspiration pictures I showed her. I know very little about hair and hair terminology, but she was very patient and made sure at every step of the process that I was on board with what she was doing. I am so happy I came to this salon as my first cut and color after covid! I walked out of the salon feeling so pretty and Rachell hyped me up like no other. I reached out to Rachell on Instagram before the appointment so we could talk about what type of cut and color I wanted. She guided me through the options and even sent me references so I had a better idea of the style. She asked all the relevant questions so that she could work best for my specific hair type. Before we even started, I felt like she knew my hair even better than I did and I felt good about having her work on it. Once we started, she guided me through the different processes that was going to happen and made sure I was happy before moving into the next step. I never leave reviews but I have to in this case. My boyfriend seriously got the worst haircut here in March before his brothers wedding where he was the best man. He told the stylist he wanted a trim and he left with a completed uneven and unblended result. I'm not sure how the stylist let him leave like this. He has had to get 2 other hair cuts to correct is over the past two months. Not only did it look like this in person but it photographed even worse in the wedding pictures. I had such an amazing experience at Rogue House today, all because of Rachell. Beginning with the fact that she was there BEFORE I even arrived and I had a 9 AM appointment! She was super sweet and made me feel so comfortable, even as I talked about how long it's been since my last haircut. I went in for full highlights, a blowout, and cut. It's a cute salon and they offer beverages which is nice. I had Mary, she was very sweet. I do have a couple of issues though. I will say the cut is perfect, it's exactly what I asked for. The highlights and blowout, not quite. The front is farther away from the root than I think it should be and one side is a cooler blonde while the other is visibly more gold toned. Regarding the blowout, she did say later on that she's not accustomed to working with my kind of hair (curly) and this was evident. I went to get about two inches cut off, and I walked out with hair 5 inches shorter than I came in with. The place is nice and the woman offered drinks, but when it came to cutting hair, she got completely carried away and got distracted with talking about her personal life than actually cutting hair.
