My friend and I came for lunch on the weekend. We split the karaage and I got Tonkotsu ramen. The broth here is rich and creamy and they let you customize your spice level. They even give you extra chili oil on the table to add in if it's still not spicy enough. This is one place that I would say finally give you enough noodles! The karaage was crispy and seasoned well. I love Rokaru and always enjoy coming here for good ramen! The service was fast and efficient!

I have been quietly enjoying this underrated gem without giving it proper credit, but I thought I would finally write a review. Their tonkotsu ramen is fantastic with that rich, creamy broth, jammy boiled eggs with ideal yolk consistency, and noodles that maintain just the right bite. The pork practically melts apart at first touch, and they nail the spice levels better than most. Service is good, plus they keep hot chili oil on every table for those of us who like to customize our heat level. Definitely would go back.

Solid ramen place in the Cincy suburbs. We visited in the midst of Thanksgiving week gluttony, and the veggie ramen was the perfect way to break up heavy meals. I added some spice and it was the perfect amount of heat. Nice interior and attentive, friendly service from Jenny. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop!

I raved about this local ramen stop after our first stop -- but a service mistake and an incorrect order (not vegetarian) make us hesitant to go back. For my first visit, five of us dined in. Everyone loved their ramen. The veggie gyoza was a highlight -- so flavorful and crispy. The waitress was helpful when it came to creating a Build Your Own Ramen bowl that was vegetarian. So delicious! Unfortunately, our takeout order a few weeks later was not so good. The cashier had our food ready, but said she'd accidentally charged a previous customer for our order. She was confused on what to do. My husband suggested he pay in cash for the cost of our food, then she can sort out a refund to the other customer later. Simple, right? Not to her. She was so overwhelmed by confusion that she left my husband (and our food) waiting at the register for more than 15 minutes. Once home, I noticed my "vegetarian ramen" didn't look the same as last time -- and the stomach problems that followed for two days tell me they gave me a meat-based broth (or similar non-vegetarian mistake).

We had lunch on a Wednesday. The atmosphere was lovely, except the seats are wood and very hard. The service was efficient but benign. It just wasn't our favorite ramen place. The broth served with the Tonkotsu was very thick, almost too creamy. The pork had a different flavor that we didn't care for. The eggs were yummy as were the noodles.

5 stars for the Tonkotsu alone!! I add black garlic oil & the spice level 1 (on the side) & it's my favorite ramen spot in the Cincy area so far. I've only had it twice but I think it's really fantastic. I love their Menma (bamboo shoots) & also get extra. It's worth the 20 minute drive. The ramen is also always out quick. We tried Rokaru Ramen at element eatery this weekend and enjoyed it! Beware the spice levels are no joke. We can generally handle the heat but the 1 was enough for us! It was a little difficult to read the menu, we didn't know what some of the ingredients were and had to ask. The tofu was steamed and in very small bits. The veggie broth was flavorful and the veggie came with corn, bamboo shoots and tofu. We added mushrooms. Not sure how it is at the kenwood location but at element eatery the spoons Rokaru have just barely held the noodles and broth making it difficult to eat. Overall delicious food , just some minor logistics with menu and plasticware that could help!

Best ramen in Cincinnati with super fast service! Cost $16 per person | Rating 9/10 Quick lunch here during a shopping trip. Nice spacious interior, kind staff, and fun art and vending machines. From order to eating was 5-10 min max, super fast! I enjoy the quality control of this place over so many others. Egg perfect soft boil, color, and seasoning. Broth strong solid flavor, good pork portions, veggies not too soggy, and visuals 10/10. The price is right for the portion and quality and the only critique is the one ramen I wanted was out and it was only 1PM. Greatest Ramen in Cincinnati! Come check it out.

Found a pretty authentic ramen place in Blue Ash. I love the decor and items in the restaurant that brings back memories of being in Japan from the vending machine to the Japanese condiments on the table. The service was prompt and my food was delivered via a robot. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen with a side of spring rolls. The ramen noodles were a little overcooked but the broth was delicious. Springs rolls were a great side item. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

Ramen is very tasty with rich broth. Staff is friendly. They used the robot to deliver food to table but somehow they skipped doing that for us so my son was disappointed. Beware if you are ordering their dessert. The price is not on the menu. It was my fault for not asking ahead. Considering how small it was, I thought it couldn't be more than $5.99 but it costs $9.5 for a very small creme brulee style dessert. It is tasty though. We literally licked it clean. read more

Really delicious and authentic ramen. Get the tonkatsu ramen with a tall taro boba tea. You will not be disappointed: creamy, sticky pork broth over delicious ramen. The taro tea is sweet and earthy. Love this place so close. read more

Check out this new ramen place. Ambiance is nice. We got takoyaki (a bit undercooked) and tonkatsu ramen. The broth is pretty good. The chasiu is nice. I wish the soft boiled egg could be a bit more runny. I also got their kumquat mojito (alcohol feee) and it is really refreshing for a hot summer. Like a lemonade. read more

Rokaru has taken the cake as the best ramen around Cincinnati. We love the build your own ramen so that we can get it exactly as we like it. The chicken wings are also great. The only downside is there is not alcohol, which sometimes pushes us to choose another place. read more

OMG!!!! By far the best ramen that I have had since moving to Cincinnati! It smelled so good that I forgot to take pictures, it tasted even better. I did the make your own and it was so fresh and wonderful. The spring rolls were awesome and service was impeccable. Super fun atmosphere watching the robot in action. Interior is clean and modern. Always love being able to see the chefs cook at ramen restaurants. Tried the kumquat lemon slushie which was refreshing. Ordered the takoyaki and the tonkotsu ramen. The broth was a bit too salty for my preference but overall pretty good. I would probably try to build my own bowl next time I visit. read more

Super close to my house, went here for the first time and ordered the miso ramen, I couldn't eat it fast enough it was so good. It was so good I fact, that I ate there twice in one week! The food is delicious, the place has a really cool decor. 10/10 would recommend read more

Great Ramen and you have the option to build your own bowl and pick your toppings. My go to is the Shio Ramen which is a salt based broth. It's really flavorful and not overwhelming. They also have other yummy options, like their chicken katsu curry and don't miss out on the takoyaki appetizer. read more

Had the Tonkatsu ramen and it was very good. The broth and noodles were perfect. I wish they would give whole eggs instead of half an egg and maybe thicker slice of the pork. A bit on the pricey side compare to other ramen joints but I have yet to see other places come this close to mastering a Tonkatsu dish. I would go back again to try other dishes. read more

Hmmmm... this will be my 2nd review. Been this place about 3 more times since my first review. It's getting a bit slacking little by little. The noodle was a bit over cooked and tangled - ramen noodle shouldn't be tangled if cooked and served in a right way. But mine was pretty tangled this time. The soup was good. I would like to see if they can add Menma (pickled bamboo shoots) as a topping item. Oh. And karaage (Japanese chicken nuggets)! They got smaller and the shredded cabbage was drenched in dressing. I rather they raise the price on item than going down the quality of the food. But still it's good Ramen. But it will not be on my top 3 ramen place anymore. read more

This ramen was SO GOOD. Maybe the best food in Ohio. I am so picky about ramen, and this place was just outstanding. Perfect amount of spice. Love the idea of a build your own ramen bowl. The chicken panko was perfection on a plate. We came later in the evening and they still let us order and we were so thankful because it was the perfect meal after a very long day. Was going to go to an upscale restaurant in Montgomery but could t find parking so we decided to go here instead. SO happy we did, cause that was amazing. Highly recommend the make your own ramen with a little bit of spice. If it's your birthday they can make the robot sing too read more

The location was good I like what they've done with the place. The food was absolutely not great. Each meal is around $15 and the portions are extremely small. The rice was soggy and the chicken was some of the fattiest chicken I've ever seen in my life. Flavor... there wasn't much of that at all. The egg in the Tofu Don was way under cooked and borderline raw. I'm really confused what food was served to all the other guests in these reviews. I've had great ramen before, this misses the mark. read more

I was disappointed that my bamboo shoots were absent in my ramen bowl, I had the spicy tonkatsu. My daughter loved the fried agashi tofu and my husband enjoyed his spicy miso. We both agreed the noodles were quite nice, little snap to them and not too soft. Double check your bill - we had to ask for a removal of an item that never made it.
