If you're looking for a cheap place to have some bottom barrel steak with even worse customer…read moreservice, look no further. Let's start from the beginning..... Restaurant had absolutely no curb appeal and was very bland from the outside, which was clue #1 but hey we've all been to a restaurant that didn't look the best and had the best food so we continued anyway. As soon as we were seated by the friendly host, the server was right behind immediately ready to take our order without giving us a second to look at the menus. That wasn't a huge gripe of mine until I saw how eager he was to give us the three menu options when there was in fact four. He proceeded to leave out the menu option of the Monday night special of a premium steak and two sides for $19.77. Kindly we said that's what we were here for and all their advertisement and website still cleared had it listed. He proceeded to say that it could possibly be an old special..... After the side bar with management, he stated it was in fact still a current promotion. So after that slight hiccup, the next problem came about. He was very firm that the "filet mignon" was not part of that special after we clearly showed him it was on the ad and website. Once again, going to his manager to confirm. Once that was all settled, my finance and I ordered the filet mignon option. I won't even get into the sides but let's get into the reason why this review is being done.... As linked you'll see the "filet mignon" we were served. My fiancé and I have had filet mignon for years and are always in search of the best so when we were served what we were, we were in true disbelief. The server argued over and over that the piece of meat was a filet when it appeared and tasted like picanha. When asked to speak to the manager, the server wanted to say the manager was enjoying his dinner and would see us after. We found this quite weird, as we saw him about four times talking to our server prior to that comment being told to us. Clearly not wanting anything to do with confronting the situation. At this point, we had no interest in eating anything from this meal. The server was quick to say that the owner was about to come out and show us the two meats from the kitchen to prove they were filets when I told him we had no interest in eating any longer but at that point, the owner showed us his true intentions on how he wants to run his business. Here's my key take away after all of this. If you want a cheap meal with bottom barrel meat, this is your spot. I truly would've respected this establishment and their manager way more, had he just came to the table at the very beginning of the questioning of the meat instead of watching him run away and avoid us. Could the meat possibly have been filet mignon, I truly doubt it but if it was, it's a very bottom of the barrel cut that shouldn't even be advertised as filet mignon. Nothing against the server in all this, minus him actively not telling us the Monday special as if we hadn't looked it up before coming, this whole review is for the management and the owners to this steak place that has decent potential but the false advertisement is what's going to drive people away.

Everyone is friendly and attentive. We had light apps and a few cocktails. I tried the Yellowbird and my wife had the far superior Summer Splash Martini which was a recommendation from the Sales Manager Alejandra. The martini was an absolute standout. The fresh and vibrant guava juice was so forward and complimented by the lemon juice. It was the perfect cocktail for a warm Florida night. Alejandra was so upbeat and friendly, she was able to give us pointers and details for holding gatherings in the new space. The remodel has made the whole location so inviting and classy. Because we did not have a reservation, we were seated outside, even though there appeared to be available tables inside the restaurant. We accepted that, but the service was disappointing from the start. Our server did not seem welcoming or interested in providing good service. He appeared unhappy to have our table, and his attitude made us feel like we were an obligation rather than valued guests. At this price point, excellent customer service should be a priority. While the food was acceptable, it was not exceptional enough to compensate for the poor service. Dining out is about more than just the food--it's about feeling welcome and cared for, especially during a special family celebration. Sadly, based on this experience, I would not recommend this location and do not feel the value matched the price we paid.

My friend is Brazilian, and she highly recommended we meet here in Windermere for lunch. I've been…read moreto various parts of Brazil with her over the years and she said the food here is as close as you can get to being in Brazil. She was definitely on the mark! The restaurant is open and spacious. The look is sleek and relaxing. Our waiter spoke both Portuguese and English and menus are available in both languages. (You may have to ask for an English menu.) My friend and I discussed the menu (it is huge!) and made recommendations as there are more options than you can imagine. She noted that everything here is fresh and that the Caipirinhas are made with real fruit juices. (Caipirinhas were my favorite drink of choice in Brazil and the ones made here are amazing!) I tried two of them - one made with coconut and lime and the other the traditional lime Caipirinha. The presentation of the coconut one was picture worthy (see pic) but maybe had too much ice as my glass was still half full of ice when I finished it. The lime one was superb! My friend ordered a virgin pineapple and mint mocktail and loved it. Although the prices seem a little high, you get plenty of food for the money. We took half of our meal home with us because we could not eat it all in one setting - and we only had an appetizer and an entree! I understand half orders can be placed so you may want to consider that as an option also. Now for the food! For the "appetizer" (it is huge!), we selected the Full Fritters Manolo Combo Special ($42). The dumplings consisted of 2 codfish, 2 shrimp with Brazilian creamy cheese, 2 black beans, 2 jerked beef and 2 short ribs. WOW!!! The fritters were amazing! They did not taste like dried-out fried fritters but were soft and moist and full of flavor! (See pic.) They were definitely a meal in themselves, and we took half of them home. What a savory mixture and an awesome way to start off my Brazilian food adventure! Fluffy pillows of happiness are how I would summarize these delicious fritters. My friend then recommended the Moqueca Capixaba for our entree. It was a velvety combination of mahi-mahi fish stew with shrimp, served with white rice and smooth fish yuca puree. She told me to place the puree on the side of the stew close to the rice as this puree is also a Brazilian delicacy. She was correct in all regards. What a delicious main course, and again, enough food to take home for additional enjoyment. Finally, the service was quite good. Our server was pleasant and although my friend and him conversed a lot in Portuguese, he also spoke English to make me feel comfortable as well. He even gave me a Boteco do Manolo rubber coaster as a small gift for my first time there. It definitely will not be my last visit! Obrigado, Boteco do Manolo, Obrigado!!

They kept the table well supplied and checked in often without being overbearing. The only issue we had was with the chicken hearts. We specifically asked for them without garlic, but they still came out covered in a lot of garlic, so we couldn't really enjoy them. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was disappointing since we made the request in advance. Price-wise, it's about the same as Fogo de Chão. The food was good, but I don't think the overall selection is quite as extensive as what Fogo offers, especially when it comes to the variety at the market table and other extras. Overall, I'd come back for the quality of the meat and the service, but I'd like to see a little more attention to special requests and a broader selection to match the price.

Brazilian Steakhouse -- The Bread Deserves Its Own Review…read more I'm not gonna lie. This was the most disappointing Brazilian steakhouse experience I've had -- and that's coming from someone who showed up genuinely excited. --The Salad Bar-- Sparse. For a concept built around abundance, the options were thin compared to competitors. Not a great first impression. --The Steaks-- No seasoning, little salt, and really no flavor. It felt like eating meat just to eat meat...which, at a Brazilian steakhouse, is a problem. --The Seafood-- The shrimp? Excellent. And I'll give them credit for offering a seafood-only dining option. Not many places do that, and it's a genuinely smart move for anyone at the table who isn't a red meat person. --The Bread-- The real star of the evening. Let me write that again, "the bread". Outstanding. At a Brazilian steakhouse. Go figure. --The Service & Ambiance-- The servers and managers were excellent, and the interior is genuinely impressive. I just wish the kitchen matched the energy of everyone working in it. --The Verdict-- The next time I find myself in the area, I won't be back. But don't let me make that decision for you, go ahead and try it for yourself. Maybe order the shrimp. And definitely get the bread.
