I had ordered the chicken hibachi to go. And I was not disappointed at all . They give you a nice serving size and a fair amount of portions in all chicken, rice and veggies. I do wish the rice was cooked a bit more. It looked light to be fried rice. The hibachi plates comes with yum yum sauce. In my opinion the yum yum sauce was good but I think I could have did without to be honest or did with some teriyaki. Continue to enjoy the ease and quickness of a very good Hibachi meal at Mizu. Went again today for quick lunch on the way home. Had my favorite - the Hibachi shrimp. Apologies, no pic as I dug right in. Food was great, portion size is just right for me, with an abundance of shrimp, vegetables and rice. If you love Hibachi but don't like eating at the same table with strangers, waiting for the chef to come out, etc, and you want to eat all your food together while it's nice and hot, then Mizu is the place for you. Great takeout service as well with online ordering and quick pickup. Also, seating and bottled/canned drinks available if you want to eat it there. All around great quick serve or takeout Hibachi restaurant. Parking is convenient and easily accessible as Mizu is located in a strip mall in Plainfield area with lots of shopping around as well. read more

Amazingly good takeout. Husband said it was the best sushi he's had in a long time. The kids enjoyed the shrimp bento box large enough portions for them to share one. I had the salmon bento box and was very satisfied with taste, texture, and portions. Bento boxes came with 2 cream cheese rangoons, 4 California rolls and brown rice vegetable stir-fry. This place is a good option for lunch in Plainfield. Their hibachi and sushi is made to order so it does take a few minutes to prepare, but it ends up being nice and Fresh which is nice. The restaurant is small, but usually not too busy so it works. I like to stop in here at least once a month. read more

Great option for fast hibachi and sushi! They have indoor seating but you still go up to counter to order. If you call and order for takeout, it usually only takes about 10 minutes! The people are very nice and the prices are average for this kind of food. I have gotten the bento box a couple times and like it!! The yum yum sauce is always a must. I had this on my list of places to try since it opened here in Plainfield. It is a small location but has several dine in tables too. With a comprehensive sushi and Japanese menu they also had a few asian food options. I ordered the shrimp teriyaki bento box and was very happy with it. The bento box is a generous serving of your protein with rice and vegetables with two crab rangoon's and 4 pieces of California roll. The food all tasted great and all of our food for four people was ready in under 10 minutes. The price was also very reasonable at $12. All soda and Japanese soda are in the cooler caned and bottles only. read more

Mizu is close to where I work so I placed an online carryout order, which was very easy and convenient. After order confirmation, I was instructed to pay upon pickup at the restaurant and there was also a little blurb that said I could save 5% by paying with cash. My order was ready within 15 minutes, and even though I paid with cash, there was no mention of the discount by the employee who was working. I didn't bring it up either (shrug). Anyway, the miso soup I ordered was pretty standard. Lots of seaweed, but very few pieces of tofu. I also got the Rich Salmon roll, which was good. The sushi is in smaller pieces than other places, but makes eating it much easier. My daughter got the spicy tuna roll (both rolls were put in the same plastic container), and she said it was kind of dry. I've definitely had better sushi, but I would like to go back to try more of Mizu's menu. read more

We've ordered this in the past and it's been good, not great. Ordered again tonight for dinner and extra to have as leftovers for lunches tomorrow. We have tried the sushi, the lo mein, crab rangoon, and the pot stickers. We have been twice now and enjoyed it. Customer service was perfectly fine, this is not a fine dining establishment they are not here to fawn over you. They make really good food, come in and enjoy it. It does take some time to prepare like all sushi so don't expect ti dash in and grab a bite, but very worth the wait. read more
