We stopped in and were warmly greeted (by a kind lady with an amazing accent) and seated right away in this very clean restaurant. Everything on the menu looked so good we ended up ordering quite a few things to try. The Beef Patty had an amazing flaky crust and the perfect amount of spice. The Collard Greens deserve an award they are so good and the plantains were excellent. The Curry Chicken Roti Wrap is delish and huge, you could feed two people easily with it. The Jerk Chicken was well seasoned and tender. We did also try the Coco bread which had the texture of the softest cloud you ever felt. Although very friendly, the service was initially chaotic. There was no signage to inform dine-in customers to sit anywhere. Also, my waiter came to take my order without realizing I had no menu. Finally, when choosing a tip percentage, the mobile card reader calculates gratuity after the sales tax. I came here for the chicken and I was not disappointed. Depending on the sides, the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Half can be a lot of food for a single person. I chose the Rice & Peas and the Collard Greens. My waiter mentioned the Rice & Peas is what is pictured on the menu. Although mentioned on the menu, he also warned the Collard Greens were made with pork. The peas looked and tasted like beans than the typical small green ones. The Collard Greens may be cooked with pork, but not served with pork bits. I made the mistake of tasting the sides first. The fried plantains were fine but really how anyone mess those up? I am really one who likes to support local small businesses but slow service is really a pain point for me. Especially since I told the cashier that it was my 1st time there. I had to inquire about my order status after 30 minutes then waited an additional 22 for it to arrive. Passed by the other day and the whiff of the food caught my attention. Finally got a chance to go in and try it out. I found the restaurant to be clean and nicely decorated. We were greeted immediately and were told to take a seat anywhere. Waitress was very attentive and polite. We ordered the jerk chicken but I had rice and peas along with collard greens. Those greens were outstanding as was the rice. The chicken was seasoned throughout and very spicy. It was a little bit salty and dry but the flavors were certainly there. On a scale I would say this would be a solid 7 and a half. Definitely recommend it and will certainly be a part of our go to places. They also have a few weekday specials that are a good deal. My first time at this new location. I didn't know that a new location was built until I was in the area and it pulled up. This is my favorite Jamaican restaurant in Dallas so far. I like this location in Lewisville . Both the Irving and this location have great accommodating space . I went with my usual chicken Roti, Jamaican beef patties and a ginger beer . Unfortunately they were out of Sorrel but they had another option which I enjoyed . The flavors are always usually on point and well cooked to perfection . Televisions and bar service comes in clutch when enjoying some good food , and Roland's offers that. Jamaican patties I feel like need to be bought in bulk cause they are that good. We've finally got the real deal in town! Such a much needed addition to the area (even if it's a 20min drive for me) they were listed on Uber eats which allowed me to get my fix this past weekend. Ordered the most popular dishes jerk chicken, goat curry and oxtail and an order of beef patty. Everything was absolutely fantastic and was plenty of food for 2.5 meals for 2 adults. The food was fresh, the meat was moist and the sides (rice and peas and steamed cabbage were excellent!!!) they were also kind enough to oblige with my request for a side of extra goat curry sauce to douse into my rice and peas.
