Ordered in this time and the collard greens and cabbage and jerk sauce was underwhelming. The jerk chicken and yams were made well. The Mac n cheese is ok; however, I like mine a little bit more moisture.I appreciate Mike great conversationalist and attentive. He also suggested the other sauce. I mixed it together and it had a better flavor. The owner was understanding and I appreciate it! I took chicken curry, rice and peas to go and they are still a hit! The left over jerk chicken still good! The restaurant is clean and loved the music too! I do plan on returning.

Nice servers, giant dining area, huge portions. If you've been craving some good jerk chicken and delicious sides, this is the spot! We loved the spinach, yams, mac and cheese, and collard greens. All winners! One plate can probably feed two people unless you are really hungry.

Samantha is the best bartender and the dining experience is always exceptional. This restaurant opened 5 mins away from my home. I come frequently because the food is well-seasoned and the spices bring Jamaica to you. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-oriented.

First time....last time. Service is SLOW! I waited 52 minutes for my order of jerk chicken, cabbage and plantain. Food is little less than avrage. The jerk sauce was NOT good period. That's a shame and was a big disappointment. Thankfully the chicken is very flavorful so I enjoyed it without the sauce. The cabbage was mediocre. The fried plantains were fine but really how anyone mess those up? I am really one who likes to support local small businesses but slow service is really a pain point for me. Especially since I told the cashier that it was my 1st time there. I had to inquire about my order status after 30 minutes then waited an additional 22 for it to arrive. No apologies were extended by the staff. This is not how to treat customers if you want to retain them. Next time I want Jamaican food, I'll look elsewhere.

Foodie Alert!! If you're craving authentic Jamaican flavors, Roland's Jamaica Chicken is a must-visit! I ordered the oxtails with spinach and plantains, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The oxtails were seasoned well, fell-off-the-bone tender, and smothered in rich, flavorful gravy. The spinach was cooked just right--while the plantains were sweet, caramelized with the perfect crunch. Oh and ler me not forget, I had some of the BEST meat pies EVER!!! Sooo good with a nice lil kick! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt like a little slice of the islands. I also love that they have weekly specials like Jerk Chicken Tuesdays, Curry Goat Wednesdays, and Snapper Fridays--definitely worth coming back for! If you're in the mood for hearty, authentic Jamaican food, Roland's will not disappoint. Highly recommend!

Absurdly good deal. There is nowhere in Dallas where you can eat this quality, at this price in 2026. Strongly reccomend buying a whole chicken to share and to take home leftovers. One whole chicken order after tax + 2 sides is ~ $30. If you are big eater like me, this is 2-3 portions. For most americans this is enough portions for 4 people comfortably. Which means you are getting a balanced meal, for $7.50 with sides. This place is a dream. I didn't think I could find a place like this in 2026. You MUST GO.

Roland's food is consistently top tier regardless of location or if you dine in or order for delivery. I brought a friend visiting from out of town to check out this new location and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We went for lunch were warmly welcomed. Our server was excellent from when we sat down to when we got up. She checked in on us frequently without it feeling overbearing and was so professional. The place was very clean and spacious. I had the: + Jerk chicken 10/10 + Rice and peas 10/10 for flavor but I didn't have many peas + Cabbage 10/10 What I can emphasize enough is how perfectly cooked the cabbage was - the perfect balance of flavor and texture. + Chicken patty all 9/10 these came out fresh, the flavor was there but it could have had a little more filling and the dough didn't give me a traditional vibe (didn't seem like there was turmeric in the dough) My friend had the Friday special which was a whole fried snapper, yams and rice and peas. She loved it and it looked delicious! I definitely will be returning to give it a try.

This is hands down the best Jamaican food in all of DFW. You don't wanna miss out! I love their stew chicken (not pictured since they ran out) and yams but everything is on point. 10/10 would recommend both locations!

Great customer service and great food. I ordered the half jerk chicken with cabbage and sweet potatoes and when I say finger licking good... very clean restaurant and atmosphere was a vibe definitely worth the money.

The food is absolutely amazing. The staff is always so nice! Good quality food! They never disappoint! I love the oxtail plate! I get the jerk chicken plate for a two day meal prep! I always recommend a beef patty for your drive home! Every time I eat here I feel like I get a taste of the street food in Jamaica right outside the club! 10 10 19 across the board! So glad they opened a location in Lewisville.

Passed by the other day and the whiff of the food caught my attention. Finally got a chance to go in and try it out. I found the restaurant to be clean and nicely decorated. We were greeted immediately and were told to take a seat anywhere. Waitress was very attentive and polite. We ordered the jerk chicken but I had rice and peas along with collard greens. Those greens were outstanding as was the rice. The chicken was seasoned throughout and very spicy. It was a little bit salty and dry but the flavors were certainly there. On a scale I would say this would be a solid 7 and a half. Definitely recommend it and will certainly be a part of our go to places. They also have a few weekday specials that are a good deal. Come try them out, you won't regret it...

When we walked in, it was only people of color, so that indicator probably meant that i was in for a good authentic meal. The interior had multiple tables spreads around and on the right side of the building it was where the people were taking orders and preparing the food to take to your table. We ended up getting coco bread, chicken stew and half jerk chicken with fries. The stew came with two side dishes, so we ended up getting rice&peas and collar greens. The jerk chicken only came with fries but it was only 13 bucks. you do have the option to get jerk chicken with two sides, but that would have been 19 dollars. The coco bread was really fully and if you dip it into the stew chicken, it takes it to another level. Both dishes were excellent and the kick on the jerk chicken was spicy but not too bad where you couldn't enjoy it. Service was great, and they were friendly. Located right behind the McDonalds. All in all, i'll come back if i'm in the area.

I came in for lunch and ordered the jerk chicken lunch special with beans and rice and a side salad. The chicken was incredibly tender--fall-apart, melt-in-your-mouth good--and packed with flavor. There was lively music playing, colorful decor throughout, and a beautiful Jamaican beach mural that makes you feel like you've stepped out of Texas for a minute. I was trying to save room for the main course, but there was something so delicious about those unassuming little bites. They were warm, slightly crisp, and completely addictive. We came specifically for the lunch specials, and they did not disappoint. I had my eye on the Piccadilly, a flavorful mix of ground meat with spices, potatoes, and what I believe were raisins and olives. It comes with white rice and black beans, but you can have them mixed together, which is absolutely the way to go. The combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors was fantastic. My only small wish is that it came with a few more sweet plantains on the side. My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich, which comes with a side. We chose fries and iced tea, and they generously brought us BOTH large iced teas. The sandwich itself was huge, easily big enough to take half home. It was perfectly grilled, warm, and melty. If I could change one thing, it would be to make the bread a bit smaller while keeping all that delicious filling. This place is also a great value. Definitely worth stopping by and checking out.

The new location has been several other businesses, over time, including a sushi spot and another lounge type set up, if I'm not mistaken. The new location is more modern, but seemingly empty of the Caribbean flare that we all so loved of the original location. All that being said, it took FOREVER for us to receive service, even though we were sitting at the bar and it was not very busy on a weekday. There was no hostess at the hostess stand, no bartender at the bar, and no staff in the place whatsoever from our initial interaction or lack there of. Unprofessional if you ask me! Which demoted this review by one star. All in all, however, the food was absolutely gob smacking. Cooked to perfection and served piping hot, which is what you want of any plate, let alone food from the diaspora. Trinilicious is Trinidad style cuisine which was my first time trying it. Sintra, who is also the owner, was working the lunch counter and was happy to point out what each dish was on the counter ready to serve. We ordered the curry goat and got rice and beans as the two sides amongst many other side options. This was probably the best thing we ordered as the goat was falling off the bone tender and the curry was not greasy or oily and complemented the goat perfectly. We also ordered the bake and salted fish which is salt fish inside a pocket sandwich that's almost like a pita bread but it was way more fluffy and buttery than pita. I love salted fish and this really hit the spot. I also ordered the doubles watch was a chickpea curry inside roti I think. It was so flavorful and Sintra recommended the spices to add to it based on my answers to a few questions about my spice preferences. For drinks we ordered Mauby tea and the beetroot with carrot juice. Mauby was explained to me as a type of tea from the bark of a tree amongst other spices. It was sweet but not overly sweet and I tasted fennel/anise which I love because it gives a licorice taste to it. Beetroot with carrot juice was also blended with other spices but was very fiber heavy from the carrot so it was close to a smoothie texture or blended veggie shake, however it was sweet and maybe had coconut milk in it or some regular milk. We preferred the Mauby. I can't wait to try other things on the menu. There was a fancy looking Mac n cheese and curried potatoes that looked amazing. There's also a couple more milky tea drinks and a hibiscus style tea to try. A few tips before you get there. Keep in mind it is a small restaurant and would probably be difficult to bring a group larger than 4 because of limited seating but they can probably combine tables if you call ahead.
