I don't know where they got the name for their fantastic Sycamore Sandwich, but it's a pastrami reuben with cole slaw instead of sauerkraut, and it very well could be the best I've had outside of New York. Thin, mostly lean pastrami stacked with Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and homemade Thousand Island dressing served hot on grilled rye bread. A heavenly handheld! The thin, crispy onion rings were cooked perfectly, to where the coating was almost falling off, and just oily enough to give moisture and flavor, but not greasy. The fresh, thin, hand cut fries were great by themselves but then add the beef chili and melted cheese, it could be a great meal by itself. Don't forget the Patty Melt, too. Old fashioned, comfort food that you order at the counter or drive through that's worth a side trip if you're anywhere close (or even not close) to Pasadena.

Food it decent and consistent, so I enjoyed the food (McNuggets and fries), but they didn't give us napkins and given how hard it was to ask for a straw, I didn't ask... Parking is decent! Plenty of parking in both sides of the restaurant. Two lane drive thru makes ordering confusing sometimes so make sure to wait and talk to both windows because they might tell you to not slip windows 1!

Unsatisfied with the response, I approached the cashier, Hannah, and asked if I could speak with the manager. Hannah responded professionally and asked if she could help first. She listened to my concern, treated me respectfully, and attempted to assist me. I even complimented her by saying that she demonstrated excellent customer service and that I would hire someone with her attitude anytime. After hearing my compliment to Hannah, Austin appeared upset. Instead of focusing on serving customers, he approached Hannah and confronted her. He then went to find the manager, Ken. I found this behavior unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in front of customers. I even have a photograph showing part of this interaction. When Manager Ken came out, I explained my concern regarding Austin's attitude and lack of customer service. After some discussion, Ken eventually agreed to provide the eggplant dish with only a small amount of tofu. This demonstrated that a reasonable accommodation could have been made from the beginning. My concern is not the food itself but the manner in which I was treated. Austin seemed more interested in defending himself and discussing the matter with coworkers and management than serving customers. His behavior created an uncomfortable atmosphere and reflected poorly on the restaurant. I would like this matter reviewed and hope that additional customer service training can be provided. On the other hand, I would like to commend Hannah for her professionalism, patience, and excellent customer service. At approximately 8:00 p.m., I personally saw an employee come out of the bathroom wearing gloves and carrying two bags of trash, which appeared to be from the bathroom. Without changing his gloves, he then picked up two of the towels used to wipe down the tables and proceeded to wipe down almost all of the dining tables. He also wiped down the counter area where customers pick up their food. The employee was wearing a hat and black glasses. I was sitting there watching this happen, and I honestly could not believe what I was seeing. Handling bathroom trash and then immediately cleaning dining tables and a food pickup area with the same gloves is an extremely serious sanitation concern. I am writing this review because management needs to be aware of what happened and address it immediately. Proper glove changing and sanitation procedures are essential in any restaurant, especially when employees are moving between bathroom cleaning and areas where customers eat and pick up their food. After witnessing this, my family and I will not be returning. Someone in management needs to take this seriously and make sure employees are properly trained on sanitation and food safety procedures.

Finally, a great taquito spot in town! Stopped by and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming--several team members even came over to check on us and chat about our meal, which made us feel right at home. Now, onto the food... everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! I had the ground beef taco and the two-taquito combo, and both were perfect--the taquitos were super crunchy, and the flavors were spot on. The salsa was spicy and authentic, just the way it should be. We also tried the corn in a cup, and it was incredible! Oh, and the agua frescas? So refreshing and full of flavor. Even the fries were great! Crispy, well-seasoned, and a perfect side to everything else we ordered. The atmosphere was bright, open, and inviting, with a nice outdoor area that makes for a great place to sit and enjoy the food. I also want to mention that the team is still training, but you'd never know it because the service was fantastic! The order did take a bit longer than expected, but once I tasted the food, all was forgiven. Honestly, I was blown away by the flavors. The beans and rice were hands down the best I've ever had--honestly, they tasted like something my mom would make. The taquitos? Without a doubt, the best I've had in the Pasadena, Altadena, and Monrovia area. Their menu is taquito-centric, and it delivers big time. We drove by this spot on our way to Target and it caught our eye, so we decided to check it out afterward. It turned out to be absolutely delicious! My husband and I are both Mexican and pretty picky about what we consider good Mexican-inspired food--but this place really impressed us. The flavors were authentic, and the meat was great quality. We tried the chicken, beef, and potato taquitos, and they were all fantastic. We got the combo with rice and beans, and even those were full of flavor. The salsa and toppings were spot on, too. We also ordered the asada fries, which were delicious. I especially appreciated the quality of the meat--it wasn't fatty or chewy (which always grosses me out). These tacos are straight-up fire! I've been coming here since they quietly opened their doors, and today was my second day in a row--and guess what? I'll be back tomorrow too! That's how good the food is. The tacos are bomb, packed with flavor, and perfectly cooked, the salsa is very spicy! I was sweating, The rice and beans? Super flavorful, not bland at all like some other places. You can tell they put care into their food. Yesterday, I came with my wife, and the cashier let us know they're only open for about 4 hours today or until they sell out--so get there early! I've visited several Roll Em Up Taquitos locations and have generally had good experiences, but this visit was really disappointing. I ordered chicken and potato taquitos, and the chicken had a strange taste that didn't seem fresh. We also ordered the donuts, which are usually one of our favorite items, but this time they were dry and just not good. That said, the staff was super friendly and provided great service, so I really appreciate that. I recently tried the taquitos here and they were absolutely amazing! The beef and potatoes were my favorite - perfectly seasoned and crispy. We decided to check out this spot on a Friday night, right near Amazon Fresh. When we arrived, we found parking right in front and were the only customers there. I came by to Roll em up a couple hours ago and let me say, the food is fucking delicious and they have a big menu. I tried a 4pack combo with 2 beef corn and 2 beef flour, the corn was crunchy and the flour was soft, so good!!!! The rice and beans that come with the combo are also delicious! There are many times that they are very busy. If you have a group call ahead and let them know. There is a wait sometimes but it is usually not very long. The weekends are the busiest. And it seems to be the entire day as people love going out for breakfast. They have a parking lot alongside the building and there is some street parking available. I have been going to Rosarito since 1993, when they opened on Craig Ave and Foothill Blvd at a doomed location. I grew up in the neighborhood and saw so many concepts come and go at that location, never lasting very long at all (1, maybe 2 years. Yet Rosarito survived there for well over a decade, before they moved to their current location. Over the last 33 years I have tried pretty much everything on the menu, and every single dish is fantastic. On this trip I went for Al Pastor Tacos. The meat is plentiful and is always succulent and super flavorful. Excellent tacos! Thank you for 33 years of great food, and great people.

I ordered an asada, al pastor, and carnitas taco. Each taco was decent and the sauces were decent as well. The Carnitas taco being the most flavorful. I also ordered a Cidral which is always delicious and the price was reasonable overall.
