He told me to come by with my receipt, and by the time I got there, he already had the missing item ready to go. On top of that, he added churros for the inconvenience, even though I tried multiple times to pay for them. He wouldn't take it. That kind of genuine care is rare. The register "wasn't working," but instead of explaining that tap was down, the manager just stood there and watched us struggle to pay. When asked about the bathroom, we got a cold, irritated "not working" with zero apology. Then staff started mopping with bleach an hour before closing, filling the place with chemical fumes. Not exactly appetizing. If this manager hates customers so much, they shouldn't be running a restaurant. Terrible leadership, hostile service, and a great way to lose repeat business. Yes! Yes! Yes! Absolutely delicious! Baja Cali is giving authentic Mexican taco vibes and I'm seriously here for it. I ordered both the beef and fish tacos and they were made spot on. The only thing that threw me was the prepackaged sauce...taking away from the authentic vibe. There were three sauces and all spicy with just the right kick. The food was fine. Just the customer service was bad and distasteful in Pasadena . I have been supporting this business when they had their first few locations before the Pasadena location opened. I paid around $50 and tip for 2 people and I asked if I could have an extra a pepper since I ordered two meals. The lady was giving attitude, really refusing. I told her I paid for 2 meals and each meal should get peppers. Then she proceed to tell me it was one order. Hello do you not understand what was said to you. Last time I was here there was not a problem. So next time I guess I won't be tipping when that worker is working. That gentleman last time was way kinder and more professional. The establishment needs to realize that when a customer pays good money and supports the business. The workers should reflect this. The restaurant has a small parking lot and there's street parking. Fairly spacious indoor seating. I tried the al pastor fish tacos ($9.99 for 3 tacos and a drink) and 2 regular grilled fish tacos. How this place has good reviews, I'll never know. All my experiences have been terrible. My first time coming to this place was on a Tuesday. As expected it was busy but I wanted to try this place out. I ordered their famous fish tacos, along with nacho fries and I also ordered a shrimp cocktail with no cilantro and no onion. I was told by the cashier that would be "extra". Confused I asked why it would be extra for no onion and no cilantro? she looked at me like I was an idiot. Long story short, I paid, came home and opened up my food, the shrimp cocktail tasted as if it had been made with club soda (yuck!) upon further inspection it even looked bubbly. Grossed out, the shrimp cocktail was tossed out. Their tacos were okay at best(I've had better). My kid really like their nacho fries and asked to go again so against my better judgement we did. The place was empty and the staff had the music blasting (fine) I ordered, paid, rinse and repeat. Got home only to find the measliest serving of nacho fries I had ever seen. Think of thinnest layer of fries you can imagine with little topping on top, you get the picture. I checked my receipt to make sure they weren't confused with the happy hour special and nope I was charged full price. Customer service is everything to me, I can overlook a few slip ups but the staff here is downright rude. My first experience I blamed it on the place being busy but the second one the place was dead and the staff was still nasty. Sad to say I won't be going back. read more

Will order that again. The fish taco came with a generous portion of batter fried fish, topped with slaw and crema. Also very good, though it lost some of the crunch as I had it delivered.
