Love Rollapalooza! I've been here a couple of times now, and left satisfied every time. Once with just my cousin. We had the Black Monster and the Rollapalooza. We also ordered shumai for an appetizer, and I wasn't a fan of it, but it didn't make me like the restaurant any less. The second time was with a large group of girls for a birthday. Tried several rolls that night, and they were all delicious. Definitely get the Black Monster when you go, because it's amazing. The sushi is delicious and not overpriced. My husband and I each got our own roll and split another and we were quite full! My roll had ~12 pieces and his had 10, so there was plenty! We ended the night with a coffee ice cream kind of dessert and it was REALLY delicious! I have lived down the street from "Rolla" for almost 5 years and it is absolutely my go-to neighborhood spot. The food is fantastic. I can almost always make a reservation (4 or under only). The servers are kind. It's BYOB with no-corkage fee, which is hard to beat! I have been here twice- and enjoyed it very much both times. Once I was with my boyfriend and we sat at the bar. I really enjoy sushi and try to go to a new place at least once a month. This place is just around the corner from me so I was hoping that I would enjoy it. It is very small but has a very nice atmosphere. It's BYOB which is always a nice thing. The offer a decent size menu and everything is very reasonably priced. My favorite roll is spicy tuna so this is a roll that I always order wherever I go so I can see if they are up to my standards. It was here! I LOVE Rollapalooza. It does fill up on a Fri/Sat night so make a reservation if you want to be seated. The waiting area is really small and pretty non existent, so if you get stuck waiting it kind of sucks. The rolls are huge, and some of them come displayed really fun (turtle roll looks like a turtle), and they do their sauces in that fun pattern. The seats are pretty close together but most sushi place I find this is the norm, and to me, the food is worth it. The wait staff is good as well, can be a little absent from time to time but again at a sushi restaurant that's kind of the norm. For how busy they usually are, I think the wait staff is plenty attentive. BYOB too :) read more

I went with 4 other girls and we ordered the Shitake Avocado Roll ( which was surprisingly delicious for such a simple roll) Meguan ( very fruity and mango-y) Rollapalooza ( never seen sushi come in such a big portion) Spicy Tataki (very spicy and they bring it out to you lit up on fire!) and the Tequila roll ( my favorite roll, a bit spicy as well but if you like cilantro you will love this roll) I definitely plan on coming back here again in the future =) read more

I went with my mom and it was awesome. Then I ordered at least one of the same ones tonight and it was not so good. The dynamite roll tasted fishy like it wasn't fresh, the Meguan roll chili sauce tasted like ketchup, the smoky roll tasted artificial. Nothing tasted fresh. The flavors were just not well developed. I really had thought I found the motherland of sushi. I don't think I will go back. I will return to my old favorite sushi place. So much for trying new things. read more

Absolutely delicious sushi! We ordered 4 rolls, Tequila, Black Monster, Spicy Tuna and Spicy Octopus. The Tequila was so light and refreshing. The Black Monster was amazing! It is made with black rice and just everything about it was so tasty. The other 2 rolls, although not specialty were simple and delicious.
