BTS roll (rice paper, no rice) :)

I came for a second dinner today, so I enjoyed that they have rice-less rolls that taste fresh and good! (I got BTS). Yummy! Flavor: 5 stars Freshness: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Location: 5 stars It's in a convenient plaza where you can run all your errands: sprouts CVS bath and body, etc. And you can get ice cream next door after!

The food was delicious, the prices are resonable , and the service was very friendly. The place was clean and bright, which was great!

Went there for lunch with a friend. Plenty of parking. A little busy area. Service is not very friendly. Just order your food they don't make eye contact. Place is clean. Food was just ok not very impressed. There's a big variety of combos. Maybe I didn't order the right one.

Wrong order delivered. There's a difference between imitation crab and tuna. Orders spicy tuna and received spicy crab. Proof is in the receipt. And They don't answer their phones.

Spicy California Roll ($8.22) dtd 19July2024

It was 10pm and I wanted something to eat. If you're familiar with the area, there are five burger brands, a couple of takeout pizza options--and I could look for a taco truck nearby. But I wanted sushi, of all things. I was bemoaning the fact that if I was in some other part of the city (like K-Town), I could get some sushi. On a lark, I Googled "late night sushi" on my mobile and RollStop Sushi came up. RollStop Sushi occupies a small space in a shopping center. It has some indoor seating, but I suspect it fulfills a lot of takeout orders. It is open daily, from 11:30a to 11:30p. On this first visit, I ordered: the Nigiri Combo ($19.18), and the Spicy California Roll ($8.22). With tax ($2.60), the order was $30.00 before any gratuity. The California roll was okay. The price and serving size isn't out of line, compared to other takeout sushi stores of this type. The better value was the Nigiri combo. The size of each piece of fish was generous, and the protein carb ratio tilts in favor of the protein. Keep in mind that this is not a fancy sushi restaurant; but the quality is good. I'm giving RollStop Sushi a "5" because the store is clean; the food is good; and the owners of this store keep it open 12 hours a day (not including opening and closing prep), seven days a week.

Miso soup and party platter b

The good: I got party tray B for around $95 for 5 adults and 1 toddler. There were California rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, ahi tuna, salmon, and more. I liked that it was quick to order and ready for the entire family because I was in a rush to get lunch with my newborn and toddler at home. It was nice that the Mayo sriracha sauce and eel sauce were on the side as well as the crispy fried onion. I thought the price was reasonable. They offer delivery as well. I'm two weeks post partum so sushi was one of the foods I was looking forward to consuming. The bad: The miso soup didn't have any pieces of seaweed in it and it was quite small. The interesting: I liked the plastic party tray itself so I kept it so I can use for a potluck in the future. They gave some packaged ginger and also some ginger in a separate plastic container.

Meh.. Definitely a one and done. We gave it a try since it's near us but were simply not satisfied with the quality and taste.

Urgent Care visit after eating bad salmon from Rollstop
    Valentino V.

Questionable Food Prep/Storage. A friend and I went here earlier this month and got sick. We orderent different items, but both containing salmon, and both of us had stomach pain and diarrhea. My friend's case was so severe that he had to go to urgent care. I called Rollstop several times over multiple days to alert them and request a refund. They never picked up, and their voicemail was full, so sent a text sharing our experience. They asked for the date, time, what we ordered, and a doctor's note, which I provided. They have since ghosted me and never reversed the credit card charges. Is it wrong to want your money back from a place that got you sick? I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but given their dodgy nature and excessive requests (that we satisfied) and no response or actions since, I question their practices. This is also a public safety issue, so I will be escalating this to the California Food Safety board, and would discourage dining there until they have been checked out.

There are people behind the boards prepping the food.

We decided to come in and see if this near automation was good. My girlfriend and I were pleased by the results. We had our sushi, rice and miso soup. The prices were good, the sushi was on point and the beef gyoza was a surprising deliciousness. We will come back without any doubt. Definitely gave me a feeling of what it's like in Tokyo eating at one of those fully automated places.

$30 and I only got 5 rolls and was all messed up. I have had sushi here before and loved it and got 8 rolls and it was good and presented well. But this time around I'm very disappointed that for the amount of money for one person I got less food and not nicely put together. :(

The prices are definitely fair for a restaurant in Southern CA. The main reason I deducted two stars is some of the food quality was severely lacking. First, the garlic mashed potatoes were definitely super old and likely reheated many times. While they tasted okay, there was a thick dark brown hard crust on a big portion of them. Kind of like they have been cooked/reheated in a giant pan, the bottom layer had burnt, and they still scooped that out and served it to customers. It's pretty crazy because they could've just not put that in the bowl and I would've been fine. Also, I'm not sure about the green onions they put on them, that seems kinda odd. The pulled pork sandwich is what caused me to deduct another star. The bun was just like they pulled the bun out of a bag from the store and served it as is. It wasn't buttered or toasted or anything. It was just a very plain bun. There is not a lot of meat on the sandwich either. So when you bite into it, 80% of what's in your mouth is unseasoned plain bun. If they would've at least done something to the bun, the sandwich would've been a lot better. I think 3/5 stars is the perfect score for this place. I will likely try it again, but if the food quality is not better next time, it will be my last.

The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. We asked him if the espresso martini had dairy in it (which I just discovered that is a thing at some places) and he double checked with the bartender to ensure there wasn't my dairy in it! I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor.
