We have had several experiences with all the major accessible van manufacturers and sometimes with custom modifications come some problems that take time to work through, while not ideal during this period working out bugs in Braun, VMI, and RollX conversions, the final product that RollX produces is a solid one unmatched with some important features that other van companies do not offer. Rollx Vans is the only company to provide a full unobstructed exit full power in floor conversion with the option to retain OEM comfortable middle row seating on removable bases allowing for the most passengers (7) 6 seated passengers plus a wheel chair. Also they retain the OEM dual dampening suspension which allows for much smoother better handling ride. RollX does most of what the customer asks for including custom lighting, paint and body protection. They also retain the factory OEM towing package allowing for hitch small trailer towing and hitch implements like bike rack, hitch mounted luggage carrier, and hitch mounted ATV or mower carrier. Most of all RollX is a group of friendly people who always understanding and they're to help, especially the service department manager Becky and our local techs Alex and Brian. This is why we chose RollX after owning and using BraunAbility Sienna for 10 years and VMI conversions. There are a couple innovative features that VMI has done including the side audible warning system for if people block access. If RollX could provide a AWD hybrid option with integrated system that works through OEM keyFOB, it would be the perfect solution. I drove down, bought a handicap-accessible van the same day, paid full price with zero negotiation, and expected the buying process to be easy. Unfortunately, the customer service after the sale was terrible. No one informed me that the DMV requires the original disability parking form with a wet signature, leaving me to spend additional time tracking down a physician and doing work that should have been explained before I left. A simple heads-up would have saved a lot of frustration. Very disappointing experience. read more

I had a lift put in our 2017 Toyota Sienna a couple of months ago. Even after expressing the desire to keep my trailer hitch I had paid to have installed not even a year prior, they either lost or trashed it. I had mentioned the concern and had hoped that in the least they would pay for the hitch I had no intention of getting rid of. The salesperson has responded with arrogance and a complete lack of accountability. I do not feel he should be working directly with people as he began to almost point fingers at me, rather than admit to the mistake and look for a solution. In addition, I then reached out via chat to file a complaint and ask for help in resolving this continued issue. I was told a manager would be calling me, well that was a week ago now. I now will need to share this experience with the county and state as the lift was paid for by them and should know the experience people they represent are getting. read more

I bought an 09 Grand Caravan from Rollx a couple years ago and had a good experience. Since then, I've requested help buying a full sized van, truck, PT Cruiser and Scion xB from them since I've had an easy purchase with them already. Well, I've been ignored every time. I even received an email on 11/17/2014 directly from Dan Delie and responded asking again. It's now 12/06/2014 and have yet to hear back. The best services I have experienced during my car searching last couple of years! I still remember the first time, my husband and me went to white bear Mitsubishi and look for possible car for us a year ago. We did not walk into the office, because we were not sure want to buy it yet. After a while, a man came out and asked us need any help. We said just look around, he introduced some cars for us, and offered us driving around, he did not give any pressure on us or talk a lot. But he would provide very professional advice when we have any questions. He knows we would not buy a car right away, but he was still very patient and kind. Last weekend, we go there again to look for a car seriously. We wanted the same sales person to help us, we are lucky to see him again. He is Jake Fisher, he is a little surprise to see us. But When I said, we came here last year, and " you provided us great service, I still remember at that day, you weard red jacket and shoes, very shining." He smiled. Then according to our needs, he found two cars for us to try. When we walked out, he parked them next to each other, so it is very easy for us to compare. When we get in the car, we felt warm and cozy, because he runed car for a while. ......Many more details and small things he did for us made us feel so good. We purchased a brand new van, a Honda Odyssey Touring Edition, with side ramp, etc. The total price was $67,000. The van has had mechanical problems with the conversion since we took delivery in October. The company has a field rep, who lives over 500 miles away, and has come up three times since October to repair the issues. But, they continue. We are now considering this van to be a lemon:-( read more

After reading fabulous reviews of this company, we purchased our second accessible van from them after our first was totaled in a crash. I won't go into my feelings regarding the company. Our transaction was a hairy mess and I'm sure they feel justified in their decision, I feel justified in being unsatisfied. Aside from that, I am very disappointed in the product itself. Our first van was a rear entry. However, we rented a Dodge with a Braun side entry conversion will we were waiting for our 09 Honda side entry from Rollx. I was super impressed with the Braun conversion but hated the Dodge. In comparison, The Rollx conversion is insanely slow. One of the big reasons we chose a minivan over a full size was so we could have the convenience of a remote button and the power ramp. The remote has a range of about 5' and the ramp takes about 30 seconds to fully go down. So in the end, we are still standing in the weather waiting for the ramp which I was hoping to avoid! The computer seems to get hung up all the time and everything has to be done in the correct order. If you open the door, you can't just put the ramp out. You have to close the door, then use the correct button to engage the ramp. The driver side door has to be open in order for the passenger door to be closed. I was told by United Access this can't be fixed and is a result of the way the van was modified. Granted, this van is not new but I still paid $35,000 for it (which I realize is not the $70k a new van costs). However, given the significant price, I expected a better product. The only reason I gave this company any stars is because everyone was nice, even though I was super upset because I felt they were unfair in their dealings. read more

I can't count the number of times my van has been in the shop to fix electrical problems with the door and the ramp.

Unless you live in MN, I wouldn't purchase a Rollx (and even then I'd think twice). Yes, they'll deliver, but almost everything they use for the conversion is proprietary so you can't just go to your local modified vehicle company and have them fix it. You have go somewhere (a company that has hopefully already worked on a Rollx) and have them diagnose it ($$), then contact Rollx and have them send the part (overnight if your van is not functioning $$). Then return to the local company to have them fix it. If they haven't worked on a Rollx before, it will take longer to diagnose and install ($$). My seat controller stopped working so they over-nighted a new one ($50 shipping + $150 for the part). It should have been plug and play, but it still didn't work, so I had to go to a local shop. While there, the person who was supposed to be fixing my seat, broke the automatic side door. He couldn't find anything wrong with the 6 way seat, so Rollx sent another seat controller. It was supposedly working and they figured out the first controller was defective. I went to leave and the seat didn't work. Took the controller apart and found it too was defective. It was rewired, unfortunately by the same tech that wasn't smart enough to open a automatic door and worked for a while. In the 2 yrs since, I've had to re-solder wires 3-4 times. A Rollx tech stated that when I received the controller that quality control wasn't great and for full price, I basically received a refurbished controller (and, again, refurbished by a guy who is outsmarted by an automatic door). Rollx's response... tough shit, the controllers have a 90 warranty. It doesn't matter that they sold me twice, a defective controller. I can purchase another one for $162 (+ shipping) and it PROBABLY won't have any problems, but again, we don't have much faith in them because we only give you a 90 day warranty. Buying this van was a huge mistake and I will never buy another Rollx. read more
