The food is delightful - and the staff is accommodating. The building was warm, even with 3 air conditioning units running; however, they brought over a fan to cool my pregnant wife. So I had to forgive them from the hostess taking to-go orders while we waited to request a table when several were available. The appetizers and salads are most likely frozen, and bagged, respectively. The entrees were fresh, and delivered in timely manner. They were very delicious. We had the seafood manicotti, and the Parmesan tilapia de Roma. We will definitely come back. read more

If I ever want Italian food, I have officially found the place to go! A very cute, small restaurant that is big in flavor. I ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta, it was AMAZING! Typically Alfredo for me is kind of hit or miss, but they really nailed it. The sauce was plenty creamy and the chicken very flavorful. The pasta itself was cooked to perfection. My fiancé order the chicken parm, it was fabulous as well. The marinara sauce was delicious as was the chicken. Both of our entrees came with salad, the Italian house dressing is a MUST! I need to find out if they sell this stuff in bottles because wow, I need more of it in my life. I can say this is one of my favorite Italian restaurant. Food is full of flavor. Must try if you like Italian food.

My wife and I are very satisfied with everything. The service was great. The facility was clean. The prices were reasonable and the waitress was very accommodating. Roma Cafe is a delicious lunch & dinner option in Mobile. I went on a week night and was pleasantly surprised that although busy, there were a few tables open, so I was seated right away. I ordered cheesy garlic bread for an appetizer and was impressed. The bread was delicious, warm and fresh, as was the melted cheese on top. For my entree I had the chicken Parmesan, and I loved every bite. The chicken itself was perfectly prepared, as was the pasta, and the sauce was a perfect complement. The food was terrific, the service couldn't have been better, and the prices were fair. What more can you ask for? read more

All around so good. This place is kind of in an odd area so I was a little skeptical at first but OMG. 1. The service was absolutely amazing. We were in and out in less than an hour and had an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Our waitress was so nice and attentive, she was amazing. 2. The food was absolutely to die for. Definitely that comfort Italian food that gets you stuffed so much that you can hardly breathe (in the best way). I highly recommend Roma Cafe in Mobile Al. doesn't matter if you're eating lunch or dinner, this place is amazing. It's under new management and the service and food is always delicious. They make their own ranch, Alfredo, and marinara in house. They told me today that they are waiting on their liquor license but in the meantime we can bring our own. It's a marinated salmon filet, oven roasted, and topped with a pesto cream sauce, grilled shrimp, and fresh garlic, on a bed of angel hair pasta. As always, the food was extremely delicious. I read this review in a magazine at the hair stylist today in which a number of reporters (restaurant critics) reviewed the restaurants in Mobile. The meat lasagna from this restaurant was mentioned. I must tell you it was first time I have ordered it although I have frequented the restaurant before. The dish was hot (they obviously cook it in the dish) and it was terrific. Clearly the reviewer who I have followed suggestions from before was impressed and so was I. What really makes this restaurant outstanding however is that the owner is on site (always a winning formula) and wants to be sure his customers are treated like guests. The restaurant also has and a truly remarkable staff that are friendly, welcoming, professional and proud of the food they serve. One downside is the lack of wine but the food compensates for this deficiency. read more

Tonight we tried Roma Cafe! We started with house salads followed by shrimp scampi for our entree. Our dishes were brought to the table loaded with beautiful, perfectly cooked shrimp resting on a bed of angel hair pasta. The sauce was light and married wonderfully with the garlic bread that accompanied our meal! We finished with Italian Crean Cake and it was very good! The restaurant was small but offered outdoor seating as an option. There was great jazz playing in the background. Oddly there are two televisions on either side of the dining area. For us, they were a distraction. This is truly casual dining and family friendly. I don't believe alcohol is served here. We were not offered a wine menu. This little place serves good food at a reasonable price. It is a step above fast food but is not fine dining. Service was fine and the staff was very friendly. We do plan to go back to try their baked ziti. I gave it 3 stars because the meal was good but not outstanding. The atmosphere was not the typical romantic setting that you find in most Italian restaurants. It is not a place to linger and enjoy a long meal. It is ideal if you are looking for a quick, dinner. read more

WOW - the food was amazing, the service was fast and friendly, and they support USA! I will return. I travel a lot and recruit for the armed services, so I just loved it from the get go. The outside of the store - they have the Italian flag and the American flag. My server was Evan, and he could not of been any better.
