Vincenzo's is easily the best Italian food in Omaha, hands down. The food was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was flavorful, well prepared, and clearly made with care. For the quality you get, the prices are hard to beat, which makes the experience even better. The ambiance is warm and classic, exactly what you would hope for in a traditional Italian restaurant. It feels authentic and comfortable. Service was fair overall, but they were extremely busy when we visited. Our server was clearly working hard and doing their best to keep up, which I appreciated. This is a MUST HAVE, I repeat a must‑have. Perfect crisp outside, soft inside, next‑level cheese pull, and that garlic drizzle seals the deal. I could've eaten just that and left happy. For the main course, I had the penne bolognese fiorna, and it was flawless (rich, fresh, and a generous portion). Went for my mom's birthday dinner! Everything was so good! I only rated it a 3 because of the poor service from the waiter. Let's start with the good! We ordered appetizers, stuffed raviolis, 1/2 mix of meat and cheese, I tried a meat ravioli and was not a fan but others were, I heard the cheese was also good. We also ordered the garlic butter cheese bread, and that was delicious! Very soft and lots of flavor, was not very busy when we arrived at 4:30, but it filled up quickly. It was not too loud even with a full restaurant! The service was less than expected. It was a hot summer day and I drank all my water in the first 15 min or so after receiving it, and the soda in 30, it was quick so I understand he may have been doing other things but even when he came to take appetizer orders he didn't acknowledge it, nor when we received them, when he cleared the appetizer plates.. we also ordered the garlic cheese bread after we finished the ravioli so we had two rounds of apps and still, nothing. We order food, more people need refills, still not acknowledged or even asked if anyone needed anything. Food comes, a family member had to get his attention as he ran away from the table, and asked if we could all get refills, I asked for both drinks refilled. Still really like this place been there several times, but it has been a very long time since we had been there. Went during an off hour at 2:30 which was lovely we had the whole patio to ourselves. We decided to treat ourselves after some setbacks! Our waitress was amazing as she was quite busy, but really kept on top of us. My dining partner had a coconut chicken salad, which she enjoyed and I really just wanted the bruschetta and a house salad, which was really delicious! These guys always provide amazing food with the perfect service. My only comment would be on the bruschetta it kinda gets different each time I go. Used to be really good and crunchy with lots of Provel cheese And some chopped red pepper or pimento on top. It's close just a little skimpy on the ingredients and not quite as crunchy, but I still love it. I have learned to make it at home, which is really good, but not as good as when it is served to you! My family and I went to Vincenzo's today for an early father's day celebration. I am sad to report that the only celebrating we experienced was when we left the restaurant. The ambiance was pleasant, although I was taken by the strategically placed blankets on the overflow bench style seating. We were shown to our table (booth with hard wooden backs). We ordered bruschetta with water to drink. The appetizer was quickly delivered and almost immediately I suspected we were in food trouble. I have never really had bad bruschetta, overly seasoned yes, but tolerable. The bruschetta served today was two thin slices of tomato, and unidentifiable seasoning (very light) on bread with melted cheese. ​It reminded me of a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato.1 We thought we would order (every cook is different) . We could not have been more wrong. My husband ordered something spicy, my daughter had a bow tie pasta with chicken and asiago cheese, I opted for meatless lasagna. The meal grossly lacked seasoning and flavor. It did not taste fresh, it tasted old and warmed up. I was disappointed by this meal based on the good things I've heard of this place! Maybe I came on an off day or chose an off item. The 'light parmigiana crust' is what I didn't enjoy--made it seem like a frozen then deep fried meal, not the fresh flavors I was hoping for. The house salad (not pictured) was absolutely amazing! As were the veggies. The angel hair pasta under the chicken was fine, although there wasn't any sauce on these so pretty bland. The appetizers and salad were great but my entree was a disappointment. I got the Chicken Franco which was 2 lightly breaded chicken breasts with a lemon white wine butter sauce over angel hair pasta. The chicken was over cooked and I could taste no lemon in the sauce that was barely there. I had a very small helping of angel hair pasta the was hidden under one of the chicken breasts. Went with a party of three adults and two children on a Tuesday evening. No reservation but they were quick to accommodate us anyway. The food was fantastic but honestly the service was impeccable. There were a few things that the employees did that were just beyond the norm and absolutely made our visit incredible. While the kids were waiting on the front bench for their father, one server actually said she didn't have any tables and could keep an eye on them while we enjoyed some wine. Like how sweet is that?! Additionally our server was extremely good at communicating and noticing cues. We did not have to ask for more bread, refills, etc. she was on top of it. The food was exceptional, we ordered the shrimp imbottito, steak Gorgonzola and penne Marsala. The shrimp entree was 8/10 overall. The shrimp were plump and had great flavors. The veggies were slightly undercooked and the angel hair pasta didn't have any sauce which was a surprise. Steak was cooked to perfection and the star of the show, so good. Food was good, but not irreplaceable in Omaha, NE. What WASNT GOOD was the Cash price versus Credit Card price ( added 3%) . Why is this passed on to the consumer? This should be included in the cost of doing business. When we paid in Cash, no change was returned. What????.........we deducted it from our tip. In addition, there is a fee for bringing in your own Cake, like for a Birthday. They charge for it. Even have a sign on their door. They charge up to a max of $18.00!!! Our food was very good as well as our service. The issue I had was when our $70ish bill came. We paid with a $50 gift card and a balance of $22 on the credit card. They had added a two dollar service charge for using a credit card on the entire bill amount instead of just the credit card amount. When I asked about it, they said their computer couldn't figure out the difference so they charge the fee on the entire check amount. While I don't necessarily agree with credit card fees at restaurants. I guess it is what it is. However, if you're going to charge a fee, you should at least be fair about it and only charge it on the credit card amount. Will we be back? Sure. Service was OK other than the waitress got our food mixed up reserved a party room for a family get together felt very cold and not what I would expect from an Italian restaurant. The food was subpar at best. My salmon was OK. It wasn't the greatest the vegetables I had were ice cold, and there were a few other complaints about the food just not being as described on the menu. The steak was a whiskey peppercorn steak no flavor didn't taste like whiskey peppercorn looked more like pot roast than it did a steak swimming in plain brown gravy. I've been to the Lincoln location many many times but this was our first time at the Omaha location and it did not disappoint at all! One of our favorite Italian places! They serve complimentary salad and rolls and I LOVE they're Italian dressing. It's delicious! And the food here is always so consistent and good! I've tried many dishes here and have never been disappointed. This time around I tried the Roman Twin Towers and I was surprised by how much I liked it! My favorite dish is still the Pollo Carciofi.
